I need a bit of clarification on how Trick works. If my Pokemon has, let's say, Leftovers, and my opponent has a Choice item, and my Pokemon uses Trick, will I be stuck using Trick?

Yes, If you get a choice item when you trick a pokemon you will be locked into trick.

If you are using shoddy, then you get to chose another move. This should be fixed btw.

Is there a resource for a question like, "What pokemon can learn both Fake Out and U-turn?"

Theres tons of places to search who can learn both, but I can't find a place to search together.

lucario@focus sash
jolly 4 hp / 252 atk / 252 spd
counter
bullet punch
crunch
reversal/close combat

i know this isn't the moveset thread, but i do have a simple question:
in your opinion, should i use reversal or close combat as the stab move? the uncreative, obvious strategy is to lead with this, counter something and then try to spread around as much damage as i can (or at least get a peek at their physical wall). since i'll be hanging on with the focus sash, reversal seems so tempting, but in case something goes wrong with the counter-sash thing it'll be nice to have a move as reliable as close combat. also if you have any advice on the EVs/nature or whatever, i think it should be fine but i'm all ears.

Lets say my opponent has a steel type, metagross for example out. I want to switch out the poke I have for a magnezone, and at the same time he switches out. For wifi, since its one switch then the 2nd, how does this work? Can Meta switch out successfully?

Try them out on Shoddy and see which one works for you.
By the way, what exactly is hax?

Yes, the Metagross will be switched out.

Metagross vs x
Withdrew x and sent out Magnezone
Withdrew Metagross and sent out y

Something along those lines.

Did anyone use "GGice" (sub punch regice) in Advance or Diamond and Pearl? Is it any good? I need to know if it's viable because I'm doing the Regice revamp.

Thanks Jiggy-Ninja!

How do you get the little blurb under your name like Twash Man's?
And what about badges?

On shoddy battle, if a Pokemon uses Knock Off on a Shedninja holding a Focus Sash, the Focus Sash activates and Shedninja does not faint. Does the same thing happen on D/P, or does the Shedninja lose its Focus Sash before it activates and faints instantly?

Two questions

1) Does the leaderboard go by actual rating or CRE?

2) What are the requirements to be able to post in Policy Review?

the leaderboard goes by cre

and to post in pr, you have to be in a special group of users that have shown enough knowledge of the metagame to actually be able to contribute. badgeholders can post there too.

Would something like this could go better than a standard mixape?:

Infernape@Life Orb
252 atk/252 spe/6 hp
Naive
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Overheat

Overheat OKOs skarmory even in sandstorm, Stone Edge OKOs Salamence, OKOs Gyarados even after intimidate with an SD up. SE + SD OKOs Dragonite w/ 252 hp evs. CC obviously okos blissey, tyranitar, etc.

it sounds decent but is walled by cresselia, also you seem to have a misconception about sandstorm, sandstorm only boosts the special defense of rock types not steels or grounders
