There is still some discrepancy over this because Syberia posted a video where Trick still works in Platinum but when I personally tried it on D/P, it just said "it failed". So I think it only still works if you're using Platinum.
Not sure exactly what you mean here. I tried it in Pearl. CS Alakazam vs random Wild Pokemon. I Tricked Choice Specs onto the Pokemon getting no item in return. I was able to Trick it back too.

Does Snatch steal moves like Dragon Dance and Swords Dance, or does it just steal the ones mentioned in the description? (Belly Drum & Defense Curl)
All self-effecting stat ups (including Belly Drum and Defense Curl, but excluding Curse)

Swords Dance, agility, rock Polish, Dragon Dance, Nasty Plot, etc are all self-effecting stat ups, and are Snatchable.

I did that and then I sent it back to Platinum so I can't check right now. I'm pretty sure it said "Mysterious place" or something like that.

Where is the thread that shows the ranking of types in order of their effectiveness and overall damage in each metagame? (Like physical dark being number one in ubers and whatnot)

Dragonite's Niche

Before Platinum the Smogon page for Dragonite gave a DD Outrage set claiming this was his "special niche" because he was the only OU dragon that received a STAB from Outrage and learned DD. In Platinum, I don't know what Dragonite did to deserve this, Salamence was given Outrage via move tutor thus futher inferiorating Dragonite. The recent Platinum update to his page makes note of this saying, "The introduction of Outrage as a tutor move in Platinum snatched Dragonite's title of the only OU dragon to sport Dragon Dance + Outrage." Now my question is this, hasn't Kingdra always been an OU dragon with DD + Outrage, even before Platinum or is that recent?

BL counts as BL, haha.

BL (borderline) is a ban list of pokemon from UU, meaning you can use them in OU if you want to. They're simply not labelled OU because of their comparatively lower usage, but they're determined too strong to be in UU.
