Um, Warner has unbelievable numbers. 3rd best rating and 2nd most yards (over 400 yards ahead of the third place guy), and 2 TDs off of the lead there.
Sacks have to do with his offensive line.
Sacks also have to do with holding onto the ball too long, but Warner isn't especially notorious for that anyway. (He does fumble way too much, though.) The only reason Warner (and Brees) is so far ahead of everyone else in raw yards is because he's equally far ahead in attempts, although his YPA is still a respectable 6th in the league. Brees should've been the starter but who cares? Eli is the joke pick, being middle-of-the-pack at best in absolutely every relevant statistical category.

I agree with MrE that Eli Manning is a joke pick. He's like...barely above Jon Kitna and Byron Leftwich in skill as a QB. He's just got an amazing O-line and running game so every game doesn't rest on his shoulders. QBs like Brees and Warner that have absolutely no support from their running game are forced to win games on their own, and I think they've both done an amazing job. Brees has ended up on the short end of the stick too many times this season in tough losses. Oh well, I don't even watch the Pro Bowl usually. Now that Sean Taylor is gone we won't get to see Punters get decapitated on fake punt plays.

as such, Warner makes perfect sense
and Brett Favre over Chad Pennington is offensive. I know voters are stupid, but come on!! 21/17 TD INT with a good wide receiver corps versus 14/6 (with more yards on fewer attempts - 5.4% more yardage on 9.5% fewer attempts!!) with a seemingly ragtag group of receivers (Ginn being the only big name, and he struggled last year).
Eli getting in was a product of last years' playoffs combined with an 11-3 record. This year however, Eli is not performing up to expectations(though, drops don't help either). I think Pennington should have gotten in as well, over Eli or Favre. He's doing a great job with less than spectacular talent around him.
Pro Bowl is too boring for me though, I won't be watching.

Great offensive line play, and a great rushing attack can make even an average QB look great (he's incredibly clutch but still inconsistent as fuck - notice they started losing once jacobs went down, similar to how campbell started sucking once portis realized he can''t be an MVP back with like one arm and half a leg and the washington offensive line forgot how to block)

AFC has Reed and Polamalu. There's a tandem that should be interesting to throw against.

Fucking Moorman didn't even make it this year. Jason Peters is the Bills only representative (and a fucking JOKE of a pick at that).
Obviously if Trent Edwards hadn't shit the bed Lee Evans would be in the Pro Bowl.
So two of my three most hated teams are playing each other tonight. I'm so torn, I don't know who I want to lose more, the Ravens or the Cowboys. I think I should want the Ravens to lose more because if they make the playoffs we'd probably end up playing them again, and I'd rather that not happen (they scare me :(). If the Cowboys go playoffs then at least we wouldn't see them again til the Super Bowl. And I'm pretty sure we could beat them :-D

Also, do you really think that any team cannot beat another easily out of the top class, Waterbomb? The Cowboys are 8-2 with Romo and beat the Giants pretty handily. The least threatening teams in the NFC playoff race are probably the Bucaneers (still a fine team though) and the Cardinals (can still beat any team if Boldin gets mad enough about his face).

I believed when Kasay's kick went wide left. Atlanta was inconsistent enough during the season that I was having my doubts, but it's the perfect storm now - Carolina plays at New Orleans, and all NFC South division games have been won by the home team. They lose, and Atlanta wins, they're the champs.
As I am a Saints fan, I am rooting for the Falcons, since we're finishing in last place this season.
So, I'm sort of curious here...
Basically, if the Chargers score a win over the Broncos next week, they'll then be in the playoffs because of the better division and conference record, right? Of course, should the Broncos win, the Chargers are pretty much sunk then, right?
