You know whos taking it next year? The Vikings, as long as Tavaris Jackson repeats his stats from the month of December, we got this on lock

something's wrong if you think jackson will be all that consistent :D

at least AD is there to take it off his shoulders

No.... just no. There is no hope for the Vikings if they keep T-Joke as their QB. They desperately need to sign a solid quarterback (read: not Gus Frerotte) if they want to have any chance at making a run in the playoffs. They could also use a boost in their pass defense, as the Eagles were able to pass all over them with a bunch of no-name receivers.

If ATL can get a better Pass Defense they can make it deep into the Playoffs this coming season. I'm a little iffy about Norwood. I think they need a faster running back for a Smash n Dash combo.

Same here. Ever since the Steelers won in that fluke of a Super Bowl a couple of years ago against my Seahawks I hate them.

Get a new fucking argument already. This fluke shit has been going on for years, and it's so tired it's not even funny. I just watched the game again recently, and there was nothing fluke about it. The Steelers would have won in the end even if the dubious referee calls had gone the other way, as they simply PLAYED BETTER from the second quarter onward. Why do people always resort to the "fluke" tactic when their team loses? You don't see me calling every Steelers loss a "fluke" do you?

ANYWAY now that I'm off my soapbox, I get to watch the SB on a HUEG projector screen with a Dogfish head in one hand and a 12 foot sub. Life is good.

Also, please discuss:

What is the Steelers' backup QB situation going to look like next season? With Charlie Batch healthy again, will he return or retire? If he returns, who will stay in Pittsburgh and who will go elsewhere? Do either Batch or Leftwich have a chance to be a starting QB elsewhere?

My two cents: Batch will return, and Leftwich will get a starting job elsewhere. I think he would be good addition to several teams, like the Vikings, Jets, or Chafes. I doubt he would go to the Lions or Raiders because they suck too bad lol.

i could see leftwich starting for a few teams. the chiefs seem to be the most likely on that list, but they will probably draft one to go with their new coach. the raiders young qb (forgot his name) has actually not totally sucked this year, he's got potential. lions will probably draft a qb. idk about the jets. vikings could maybe use leftwich as a starter/mentor while jackson matures (if he ever does). somehow frerotte = starter/mentor doesn't mesh with me all too well.

whatever team takes leftwich, they need to have a good o-line. leftwich is useless if he has people in his face all the time.

I've said it once; I'll say it again:
I won't accept Arizona winning simply because they are not champions
Which is why I'm pulling for the Steelers

Would you prefer the absolute bullocks of the BCS? Should we just hand the trophy to the team with the best record at the end of the regular season? The team that wins the super bowl deserves it, not the team with the strongest schedual that win a popularity contest, or any other random qualifiers.

Go Cardinals!

While I would normally like the Steelers, this is the feel good story I would like to see happen with the Cardinals winning, just like the Boston Red Sox in 2004.

As a Jaguars fan, I know Leftwich has potential. If he has a good O-Line and Recievers he could be great. Those were the 2 problems the Jaguars had with him, and still do have.

Now, I think if the Jags are willing to spend some money on Recievers, or draft for some potential recievers, i think they have a chance at making the playoffs again, within the next 2 years, but with the Titans and the Colts in our division, the Jags need to get a lot better.

I also think the Steelers will win the Super Bowl by around 14 points.

Well, my predictions I guess:

Even though I'll be rooting for the Cardinals tomorrow, I still can't see them getting pass the Steelers. So yeah, likely Steelers are gonna win.

I'll be pushing for the Cardinals. The Steelers have won like a bazillion superbowls and the Cardinals have zero, so somehow I feel like they "deserve it" or something.

Also the Steelers beat the Chargers. ARgh

I'm calling the Steelers to win, although my heart goes to the ultimate underdog in the Cardinals.

By the way, 3 1/2 hours to go! Time to start making that homemade taco dip!

WaterBomb, it is not a fluke - it was an outright false outcome. The Seahawks won every facet of that game. Here is hoping Big Ben puts up as terrible a performance today.

rooting for the redzone. larry is going to light it up, james is gonna get kurt some pass protection. itll be tough, but thats usually what to expect when you play the steelers.
go cards.

I'm rooting for the Cardinals as well, because I usually root for the underdog. Not to mention the Steelers knocked the Bills out of playoff contention in 2005 with their backups (lol) and I still haven't gotten over that.

Well, all you cards rooters will be crying when arizona loses tonight ;)
also, what happened to those superbowl ads that were on top of this thread?
also(again), if the cards miraculously win, i'll get a cards avatar... but dont expect that

17-7 in case anyone is wondering. 100 run touchdown was indeed awesome.

Come on Cardinals, prove me wrong again. Win this game.

The half-time show was decent. I couldn't really tell which parts were singing and which ones where screaming though :/

That 10-second touchdown was awesome.

And rofl at the "LMAO Syndrome" commercial
