You certainly pay attention to details, I tell you what.Well, I finally found my old R/S custom sprites back from when I had time to do such things. Mind you, I haven't been able to find these for about a year and a half, so there may be a few oddities.
My idea of a Roselia evolution, a Grass/Steel type. I believe the drill-flowers were from Beedrill, the chestpiece was... i forget, and the dress was Bellossom's, augmented with the front leaf of Roselia.
What we have here is a splicing of a Solrock and Lunatone, a joint evolution idea.
An idea from my little brother, a fusion of Nidoking, Venusaur, and maybe Tropius' wings (IIRC). It didn't turn out too bad, IMO.
Something quick and dirty, a Latias/Latios splice, using their combined colors. Not my greatest.
A weird one, to be sure. This is actually a Kangaskhan/Kabuto crossbreed, and... yeah. Yeah. *shrug*
My first sprite, a combination of Typhlosion, Aerodactyl (for the wings), and Absol's headpiece for the jaw-horn-things. The bottom of the serpentine one was completely scratched.
A badass combination of Pinsir and Crobat. One of my favs.
A damn sexy beast, a Charizard/Raikou combination. This came up randomly, though he's another of my favorites.
Oh, this guy. Let's see if I can remember all the parts... Charizard's wings, Bruno's torso and head, Blaziken's legs, Metang's arms, and Victreebel's vine as a tail. Not something you'd like to meet in a dark alley.
Another relatively easy fusion of Blaziken and Mightyena. Doesn't look too bad.
The Roselia evolution sprite is awesome! The fusion of Pinsir and Crobat also came out well, as did the Bruno based sprite.
The fusion of Kidoking and Venusaur is difficult, as Nidoking walks on 2 legs and Venusaur walks on 4, so the features from one aren't going to really work well with the features from the other. I personally would have gone with a Venusaur base, and used a Nidoking head and front legs.
This was actually the first sprite I made. It is a combination of Gengar and the Joker from Batman. It's creepy, no doubt. It was also really easy to make and I didn't put too much work into this.

I've had a spriting slump lately, but I'm working on a few right now. Requests, anyone? My own, erm, creativity, only goes so far.I thought the typhlosion bat was the best one.

Now, some of you may have noticed. I have a general obsession with two evolutionairy lines...and that would be the Torchic line and the Shinx line. General obsessions.
...Yeah, about that.
Meet Torchinx, Combuxio, and Bluxray.
Those are actually quite awesome. Torchinx is the cutest thing I have ever seen :O.First of all, I go by the username KainSword on other forums, which wouldn't be as fitting on this Pokemon based forum.
Basically, the premise here is that I siphon the colors on the official Sugimori art and recolor the currently oversaturated Pokemon sprites for Pokemon Platinum. This results in higher quality colors for the sprites.

Golem, Jynx, Kangaskhan, Machoke, Magmar, Parasect, Pidgeot, Venusaur, Victreebell, and the Eevee line. Some of those links have possibly outdated edits used since I tweaked a quite a few sprites after making those comparisons.
I also edited the sprites in some instances. For example, I edited both Machoke and Machamp's belts, reduced the size of Magmar's leftmost head lump, gave Pidgeot a better beak, removed the red outline on Haunter's hands, and other such minor edits, mostly in the form of detailing the mouth of many Pokemon who seem to be roaring in their sprites.
So anyways, what do you guys think?
Those recolors... all that stands out to me is that you have the time to do this.
Wow, fir stoval, Fuzzberry, you're sprites are redonkulous. I lol'd at the name Bluxray, too.
fiveTrarrowkpoundr, I believe your name says, I am amazed at your work and the motivation it must have taken to actually go through all four of every Kanto pokemon's sprite and recolor them. They're all really consistent with the Sugimori art colors, too. I wouldn't be able to do something like this.

A sprite I did of pkmn-taicho321's concept for CAP8. I love that concept, every should totally vote for it. ;P
Wow, so much new talent this go-round, Taicho's design isn't my favourite, but this sprite puts a whole new spin on it in my opinion. I Look forward to duking it out with you in the spriting competition.Recolors only take a few seconds in Paint.Net, if you know what your doing. But if he did it in MSPaint... And that concept really had mixed results. Venusaur and Pidgeot do look better, but some pokemon like Rhydon, Slowbro, Blastoise and Arcanine look really washed out and dull.

This makes me want to win 10x as bad. With so many talented spriters this CAP is going to turn out grade A no matter which design wins. I've got some big competition!- Status
