Oh christ I have no idea why I picked Qwilfish over Kabutops. It's just so much better... the only thing Qwilfish has on Kabutops is explosion, which is risky anyway. I'd best get to work breeding then. Thank god I IV bred some Kabutos last year... I'd have hell on getting a useable Kabutops in 3 days otherwise.

Thanks for reminding me btw. My lead's sorted though- it's actually brilliant and has great synergy with Kingdra and Toxicroak while remaining somewhat unknown and unexpected. My alternative lead is also brilliant and I'm surprised you didn't suggest it- my team's been completely overhauled since I posted it on RMT about a month ago.

I was able to record like 3 or 4 of zerowing's matches, so I'll have a few up by tomorrow. They are quite fun to watch. I also hope the dancing pokemon video makes it's way onto youtube; it was epic to say the least.

Lol, we both get to be miserably watching from the sidelines...hopefully Imawario and FiveK will get in and make us proud lol.

European tournaments are Diamond/Pearl carts only, so you're free to compete if you have one of those and the time to throw a team together before Saturday :)
 
Phew, just managed to get my Kabutops finished within a day. My team's already so much better.

She's adamant, shiny, swift swim 31/31/31/19/6/31. That old IV bred Kabutops certainly came in handy. And by god those 1278 taps were worth it. Oh and I gave her a cool name: "SlimOnia". Both a reference to the ancient sea scorpion Slimonia, and the mythical Japanese Oni demons. So pretty nice.

It's amazing how smogon is coming on top at all of the tornuments so far!

Man this is really getting me pumped for phili. cant wait to meet all the smogers for the first time and play in this (even if i might not get picked) just being there would be amazing.

Yeah me too, I hope I can get picked just to have a shot at playing, since I live a couple hours away, hopefully the trip will be worth it!
 
I'd really love to compete and meet everyone, but I live in Orlando, FL, and thus the closest tourney to me is the one in Nashville :/. Oh well... since there were no qualifiers anywhere near my area this year, I'm pretty sure that there will be next year, so I look forward to seeing you all then!

Congratulations to Diesel, batpig, and zerowing!

Did you happen to see someone with a Red Sox hat? If so, that was me. omni or zerowing had a picture taken of all the smogon members there, so he'll probably post it in his thread.


@ap13095 = The only one that is involved in doubles is micuat, and he occasionally posted in this thread back when Japan's tournaments were happening. Now he's probably just watching how the US and European qualifiers go.

I can't wait for the pictures. I want to see how PBB and omni look like. (Though I do remember seeing the red-sox hat, I'm not sure I'm too familiar w/ PBB's face.)
