I've just gotten mIRC and have registered Dejatoons. How do I connect to #smogon and #stark? I'm not recieving the confirmation e-mail. The only user I see when I try to connect to #smogon is a bot called @Satoshi|Vacation.

We are no longer on dejatoons, but rather synirc.

I am trying to think of a decent Sweeper basis for a team utilizing Lunar Dance Cresselia. I don't want to use Lucario/ Tyranitar because it'd basically be the same team as the one featured in The Smog. Any ideas?

I'm looking to get a good Timid Kyogre. Here are the spreads I'm looking at:

6478 (1:47.96), Timid, 26/4/22/28/24/31, HP Flying 38
76713 (21:18:55), Timid, 30/20/29/30/19/31, HP Grass 66
114914 (31:55.23), Timid, 21/9/31/31/26/31, HP Steel 68

Obviously, the spreads get progressively better (although the second is arguably similar to the third) but more tedious to SR for. What would you all recommend I aim for? I know it's a matter of personal preference as to whether the longer wait is worth it, but I guess I'm looking for some input on what you all would recommend my mindset be for this. I'd like to be able to use this Kyogre in competitive uber battles, possibly in a Nintendo tournament if ubers are ever allowed again. Hidden Power is not an issue to me here.

I did ask this in the Emerald PRNG topic where it seems more appropriate, but that topic seems somewhat dead, and I haven't received any input. Thanks!

I'd personally go for the third one because of the perfect Speed and SpA, and better defenses. Attack obviously isn't an issue for Kyogre. (Assuming you're using a Scarf set?) I'm not good with HP related stuff (balancing defenses and the like) but it's your decision overall, if you desire more HP use the second spread. Hope I helped.

Does Trick activate Unburden in-game like it does on Shoddy? It seems like a cool way to use Drifblim, but I want to make sure it works in-game first and I know some things work differently on shoddy.

Alright on the strategy page for Linoone it says he learns extremespeed. I have checked other sites but they do not mention it as a move he learns. I know he learns seed bomb from platinum, but where does he learn ExtremeSpeed?

You can teach it in the game "Pokemon box." that game is a couple years old though.

It doesn't actually "learn" Extremespeed, but Pokemon Box will give you a Zigzagoon egg that knows Extremespeed if you store some number of Pokemon in the box. (It also gave you Pay Day Skitty, False Swipe Swablu, and Surf Pichu.)

Okay, now i need to know what Pokemon Box is and where to get it. Thanks for answering the 1st question though.

Could anyone list a list a pokemon used commonly in the Nintendo Tournaments? I know stuff like Garchomp/Zapdos, Dusknoir/Smeargle, Togekiss follow me, and stuff, but could anyone just give me on top of their head, any pokemon that they've experienced when they were there? I'm trying to formulate a team for a future tourney. Thank you

Quick question, is it possible for hacks from the old GBA games that are transferred onto Platinum (via pal park) to damage the cartridge or save file (or do any kind of damage in-game)?

Can Diamond/Pearl/Platinum hacks damage the save file (or do any in-game damage) on Platinum?

Does THIS help?

How do stages work

There are quite a few moves that lowers attack 1 stage or defense 1 stage.

What percentage is a stage of the stat total.

For example feather dance lowers attack stat by 2, does it lower 10 percent, 15 percent.

Ant help would be great

Thanks

I was at the VGC Nationals in St. Louis.

There were lots of Metagross, Bronzong, Dusknoir, and Snorlax.

Hope that helps

stat stages go like this
+6 8/2=4x
+5 7/2
+4 6/2
+3 5/2
+2 4/2
+1 3/2
+0 2/2
-1 2/3
-2 2/4
-3 2/5
-4 2/6
-5 2/7
-6 2/8=1/4x

it cannot go beyond +6 or -6

I've got a Trick Room team I'm trying to re-set up for double battles (my previous one didn't have the right IV's), and I'm looking for some input.

I'm a bit hung one of my leads. I want to use a Relaxed Donphan with the moveset:
Rapid Spin
Earthquake
Ice Shard
Stealth Rock

Or a Relaxed Forretress with:
Stealth Rock
Spikes
Gyro Ball
Rapid Spin

My problem here is that I have two questions that need answering before I make my choice:

Is Gyro Ball's damage still calculated normally in Trick Room, or does it all of a sudden become calculated as if Forretress were the faster pokemon?

and

Do Stealth Rock and Spikes both do damage simultaneously on the switch-in, or is it just one or the other?

Forrestress would normally clearly be the better choice for me except for these two questions.

I have other questions about my team, but I don't want to bog this post down with more than necessary, so I'll just leave it with these two questions. Thanks in advance!

I want to build my first team and I am not sure of how to go about it. I was thinking a electric team but then i saw how little multi type and earthquake would destroy it probably.

My real question how should i go about creating a new team. What ways should I base my team around a Pokemon type and weather effecting. What are ways to start and think about a team. What should I take into account when building a team.

I am sorry if i misspelled any words or worded it Strangely. Feel free to tell me something that i did wrong or ask a question about my question.

I have an old Miltank build from back in '07 that uses a Jolly nature. It's worked well for me in the past, but I wanna update it. Unfortunately, the builds on the analysis on Miltank don't have a Jolly one anymore.

I know its stats were spread over 4-or-so stats, but that's about all I really remember about it. Does anyone know the old Jolly Miltank spread?

...I'd solve it myself, but this was well before I was paying attention to IVs...
