Would these wannabe-Salamences work?

My diamond Pokemon modifier code for my AR doesn't seem to be working. I get the 493 masterballs and drop 20 of them to run into mamos, but i run into arceus over and over until i start running into the regular Pokemon that can be caught in the location i am in.

so why isnt my code working?

and what happens when you catch a trainers Pokemon?

I hope this is the right place for this question, I couldn't find the answer on google and I coundn't think of anywhere better.

Where can I battle a Cherubim and a Riolu in game (Pearl) for pokedex data?
I'd appreciate knowing where to find a Cleffa as well, since I really don't want to have to breed one now.

Thanks in advance,
Ascalon

Rioulu you have to hatch the egg riley gives you on iron island. Cherubim is with an ace trainer near pal park.

As for my own question, will there ever be a stage three for UU? like letting raikou, staraptor, gallade etc. back in for testing?

And one more thing, my DS has stopped charging. I am planning on ordering a new battery from nintendo for $15. Is this the right choice. I have looked at nintendo's website but it is a little confusing and I would like the opinion of the smogon community.

Ditch Fire Blast and go for another Physical move of another type and then choose between the Orb or Choice Band.

Overheat = Noo. Get another Special Move of another type or a support move if there isn't any (then you'd have to get rid of the Specs).

Again, Fire Blast = No.

Actually, prepare to faint soon with Stealth Rock, Flare Blitz recoil, and Life Orb. I recommend using Lefties or Shell Bell (definitely Lefties on the DD set).

I don't know if I gave good advice, so I would like someone to confirm.

You can get DS batteries at most electronics stores. If your DS is a DS Lite you'll have an easier time finding a battery, because the DS Lite is the more common one. Old DS batteries are different from the DS Lite batteries, and somewhat harder to find. Make sure you don't buy the wrong battery by mistake!

Quick question. I know this has been before asked, but I just want to confirm before I do anything rash.

If I defeat Giratina the first time I encounter it in Platinum, will it reappear later? If it does, does the level/IV's/Shiny Status/etc. change?

If I have a synchronizer that's say, bold. What is the probability of a wild pokemon being adamant?

1/24, or 1/25.

Neither. The Pokemon would have a 50% chance of being bold, then equal chances of everything else, so 1/48 for the rest of them.

Yes it will, and yes it does. It reappears at the Turnabout Cave.

Well, This is more of an opinion question, I'm making a Sunny Day team, And I was wondering, what is the best/your favorite Sunny Day starter.

According to MetalKid, my traded Metagross will get 23 experience points for defeating a Level 2 Poochyena in R/S/E (I need Attack EVs while gaining as little exp as possible). If I were to have 5 other Pokémon in my OT holding Exp. Shares, how would that affect my Meta's exp? I assume it wouldn't just be a clean "divide 23 by 6" since it would be a mix of traded Pokémon and my own Pokémon. What if these 5 Pokémon were traded, or mixed?

Two questions:

1) Can Skill Swap work more than once in a battle (example: Alakazam uses Skill Swap on a Huge Power Azumarill in a double battle, then uses Skill Swap on a Slaking to give it Huge Power?)

2) This has been answered before, but I still don't understand it. Choice Specs Jolteon in the analysis includes Baton Pass as a move. What is the point of "dry baton-passing." Wouldn't it be the same as switching out?

Can somebody name a single situation where dry baton passing off Jolteon would be beneficial to simply switching out?

You would actually find the amount of EXP. the Poochyena gives normally, on a non-traded Pokemon. Divide that by 6, and each Pokemon will gain that much EXP. The trade boost multiplies that amount by 1.5, so if all 6 were traded Pokemon, you'd be gaining a whole lot more experience than the Poochyena normally carries.

1) Yes.

2) No, it's not the same. When you switch out, the choice of what to go to is a guess, because the action is made the same time as the opponent. However, when you dry Baton Pass, the opponent switches out first, and then you use your move. In this case, you see what the opponent brought out and can choose a Pokemon that is advantageous over it. When switching, both you and your opponent send out your Pokemon at the same time, and you don't know what they will use.

If you mean switch out after they bring the next Pokemon in, they could Pursuit you as you switch or your incoming Pokemon could take a hit. If you pass on the turn they switch, both your Pokemon will be on equal footing the next turn.

I don't know the answer to the first one but...

A Dry Baton Pass is used for scouting. Lets say you have your Specs Jolteon out against a Gyarados. The Gyarados is probably going to switch, but you don't know what he's going to switch to. So, you use Baton Pass. The opponent's switch will happen before you use Baton Pass, so you get to see what he's bringing out. Like lets say they switch in Blissey while you use Baton Pass. This lets you bring out your Blissey counter right away.

Okay. According to this, if one Pokémon fights it and 5 others are holding EXP Shares, a traded Pokémon will gain 3.75 exp points (15 from MetalKid / 6 Pokémon * 1.5 for boosted exp)... I assume that rounds up to 4, not down to 3?

Crobat is awesome as a SD starter. He's crazy-fast and can't be flinched, so he can either put it up for sure or Taunt an opposing RD, SS, Hail setter-upper. Also, he can learn Heatwave to benefit from SD himself!

Groudon.

Actually, a Chlorophyll Pokemon that can do all the setting up you need (Stealth Rocks, etc.) would work well, I think.

Question! Is it possible to breed more than 1 move onto a pokemon? I don't mean 2 moves from one pokemon onto another, but 2 moves from 2 pokemon onto one. For example, is it possible to breed both Yawn and Aqua Jet onto a Squirtle?

To get just Yawn you can breed a Male Slowpoke with a Female Squirtle.
To get just Aqua Jet you can breed a Male Piplup with a Female Squirtle.

How would you get both? (If it is possible).

I have a newbie question.

I'm just beginning to try out RNG abuse for Platinum and am on the calibration phase. Step 3 of Mingot's Guide says:

3. Start your game and keep Start + Select + L held then press R (these are the buttons hit to soft reset the game) exactly when the clock reaches the next minute. Hit A as fast as possible until you enter the game world. You will want to note the exact time that you soft reset the game.
What is the exact time when you soft reset? Is this the time when you pressed Select+Start+L+R? Is this when you first enter the game world? Or is this the time when you press "A" in the selection menu with options such as "New Game", "Mystery Gift", etc. before the game has actually fully loaded?

If you can get the father with both egg moves, they will both be passed down. While you can breed two (or more) moves onto a pokemon, that particular combination is illegal.

The moment you release any of Select, Start, L, or R.

Er... of course it would be possible if the father has both moves because that's the whole objective... to get the 2 moves onto one pokemon. The problem is HOW. How would I breed separate moves onto the same pokemon? Nevermind legal or illegal (this is just for fun).

thanks
