I have absolutely no idea why my IV Checking code is so screwy on Pearl... I find myself having to scroll through the pokemon's menu multiple times to get a result in my tms and quite often, the IVs shown aren't even of the pokemon I'm viewing... The only way that seems to work is isolating the pokemon with the move option in my PC and checking it again, but for the last two years, this hadn't been a problem... What can I do?

Uhhh...

Back in the day, I used to use this for checking IVs of my Pokémon.

If you want an IV calculator - something to find IVs from stats - Metalkid's is probably the best, http://www.metalkid.info/Pokemon/Calculators/IV.aspx
The neat feature is by using stats taken at multiple levels, along with the characteristic and the Hidden Power type, it can accurately find IVs of Pokemon at quite low levels, provided you have some Rare Candies.
But I think Lovrina was on about AR codes.

Okay, I have been a member of smogon for a long time and I respect the website and think its a great site for the pokemon industry

But what is with the Manaphy switching tier incident?
I mean you moved him from Uber to OU and a couple of days after it goes back to uber

There's nothing pathetic, try not to disrespect the hard work which is behind Smogon's tiering process. It's just that the site staff decided to have another round of testing to test Manaphy into a Garchomp-less metagame. We just decided to have stage 3.3 to make a more accurate valuation of Manaphy's impact on the standard OU metagame.

Look at it this way:

Option 1 - We leave Manaphy in OU, public outcry at how broken it is and more posts in a similar vein to yours spring up and it's a pain for the administrators and moderators.

Option 2 - We test Manaphy more, meaning that we can get a clearer thought of how it performs in OU and then get a definitive vote on its tiering placement.

Unless someone has some fetish for Manaphy in OU I'm pretty sure Option 2 is always the best route to take in this kind of situation.

This is my truly last question, I promise!

What is it with this 2HKO and OHKO business? How is it determined?

Are you wondering what they mean? To 2HKO a pokemon is to kill it in 2 hits, and to OHKO is to KO it in one hit. It is basically just determined by attack and defense, and of course outside factors like entry hazards. Items like Focus sash also change OHKOs into 2HKOs, which are extremely important.

EDIT: >< forgot to refresh page

EDIT 2: I do have a question of my own, though. Why is there no Little Cup ladder? Is the only way to find Little Cup matches to challenge?

I've been having trouble with RNG reporter..or I guess just RNGing in general. Today I've been trying to RNG for a shiny Eevee, and I kept messing up. The natures were all wrong when I used the pc box R/L paddle button glitch thing. now I just thought it was cause I counted wrong. But then a miracle (for me) happened. I got a count of 6 happiness checker double taps and 4 coin toss taps. I KNOW I counted right. When I hatched the egg, it was a normal Eevee (-.-) Is there something goin' on here? I checkked my SID and ID and all checks out.

W00t!! Finally Hatched my shiny eevee! Can anyone clone it a few times for me? I wanna see if I can get an entire shiny Eeveelution team =D

An OHKO is a one-hit knouckout, meaning that a Pokemon knocks another out with only one attack. It's dtermined by the attack (or special attack) of the attacking Pokemon, and HP/defense (or special defense) of the defending Pokemon. There's a formula I would give you a link to, but I'm not on my laptop. For example, if Tyranitar uses Pursuit on Alakazam, that's always going to be a OHKO just because Alakazam is as physically frail as you can get.

A 2HKO is similar; it's when a Pokemon has to use two moves to knock another out. This is important for knocking out walls. You hit them once when they switch in, then again the next turn, and they die before they can status you or heal (it also means you're doing more than 50% damage, so you're doing more than they can Recover off).

does anyone happen to know this "formula" or has a link for it?

Bulbapedia has the damage calculation and stat calculation formulae. You should be able to rearrange them to figure out what you can nHKO with a certain move and attack, or conversely what can nKHO you with certain defenses. Remember to allow for Leftovers, weather damage, and SR.

The Little Cup ladder is located in the CAP Server.

OKAY CAN YOU PUT IN ANY NUMBER FOR RAND THAT'S BETWEEN 0.85 AND 1.00?
