Did you really have to come here and say that? If you've got nothing constructive to add to this thread, keep those thoughts to yourself next time.

I was only giving my opinion... i cant?
I know this is a pluralistic forum, open to opinions of others.

It's not too bad actually.
It's not as broken as it may seem.
Flash said me the same, but i cant think how this may be competitive.
I will think more about them... :nerd:

Every mode is viable in competitive play, the point that people like you tend to miss is that you need to be able to adapt to different competitive environment. Furthermore, I cannot see any reasoning in your argument which nullifies your argument for any serious debate.

What is true though is that this mode is almost entirely based on team matchups if you want to circumvent 50/50 guessing situations.

It's 2 Ubers per sheet. Since the national events will probably be held with single elimination tournaments, you don't really need more than four, just come up with a good squad. Also, flash, I was under the impression that scouting other players is not allowed.

You dont know me, ok?

Says "that people like you tend to miss is that you need to be able to adapt to different competitive environment" I see it as an argument quite weak, because if so then I could propose you any rules and if you refuse, you might say "people like you bla bla bla"
Nothing else I think those rules do not have a solid foundation. I will not further discuss about this issue because I will not get anything (hard to see a user cmo I can change the rules of a tournament which will not go because they have no resources)

Thanks for reading, I'm leaving the issue to avoid future warnings: P

Good night all (i want to sleep)

I would try and argue that, but I can't understand a word you're saying.

I do not know if what you say is true, or a simple irony. I have some problems with English (grammar), so every time I finish writing a post I correct it with a translator. That's why you do not want to discuss.

PS: now i see my post, and yes, i made some mistakes, sorry :nerd:

Azelf doesnt have useful STABs and the 75 base elementary punches are just way too weak for coverage. The only thing it has on its side is Explosion but that's even more predictable than what happens between a boy and a girl if they are horny.

i am clueless as as to what happens between a horny boy and a girl :D
As for the Azelf, I did see some but not too much so i can't really tell. :/

In my experience, they whip out their Yu-Gi-Oh decks and have a duel... (I've actually known this happen on multiple occasions in the last month)

But as for Azelf, I think the trick lies in forcing your opponent to take the hit. To any half-decent VGC battler, an enemy Azelf immediately means "Taunt and explosion", so the Azelf user really has to make use of moves like feint and imprison or they won't work well. Imprison Dusknoir in particular has huuge synergy with exploding life orb Azelf. The only real counter to that pair I can think of is Giratina, which destroys them both while taking minimal damage.

Yeah, true, Azelf's much too predictable. I've still seen a little bit of usage though, but that'll probably change, especially with more frequent Auto-weather than weather-inducing moves. Or maybe I just haven't seen enough. :/

What's everyone's opinion on Machamp?

Machamp was rather decent on TR teams in '09, but for 2010, there are generally much better options.

Oh no BlueCookies, he's stalking you while you're sleeping!

Machamp is really good IMO. Using trick room is always the obvious battle environment to set him up in. The only partners I see Machamp in are the ones with bronzong, smeargle or Dusknoir. The item that is becoming popular with machamp is the dangerous Iron Ball. It seems as though its become a hot commodity for trick room offensive Pkmn and with that, it gets to go first as well as having the option to Fling it. Besides that, dynamic punch hurts most pkmn. With fling, it can even oppose Giratina well.

And he's very smexy.

one of the best tr abusers is dialga in 2010.
personally, i've pretty much seen dialga on almost all tr teams (wlel majority)

Yeah, Dialga and Machamp could make great babies together. Sounds like a good couple for a doubles trick room strategy.

Honest i perfer Hariyama to Machamp, Fake Out + Thick Fat just seem to be more useful

Fake Out + Guts + Flame Orb is more like it. ;) Gonna go whip a brave one of these up right now...*dooot dee dooooo...*

Ummm...is Hariyama going to be switching in so that flame orb will kick before the fake out can be used?
Hariyama will most likely be starting out to help trick room get set up with fake out. Then flame orb will activate after and start to sweep. I haven't seen many Smeargle's this year. Is it just me or are there less? And does the auto-level go upwards as well, so a level one Smeargle would auto-level'd to 50?

From what I understood, it will only auto-level down, not up.

Yes, only auto-level down is right.
And if I remember correctly, I've just seen 1 Smeargle in the Finals of the Japanese Qualifiers (Tiba Final).
