I just picked up a copy of Pokemon LeafGreen today, but then found out that nobody has been able to RNG either FR or LG. How would it then be possible to get good IV's on the legendaries of the game (the reason I bought it)?

Plain old soft-resetting until you get something decent. But you probably won't even be able to match Emerald RNG quality, let alone the near-flawless that DPPt offer.
There has been research into RNGing FRLG. I think there's a thread about it. Someone managed to hit the same spread twice on a cartridge, but it's still not really known how the RNG is seeded and advanced. You could join in on that research program.

RNG manipulation is possible, though difficult, in HGSS. And I think all the legendaries you find in LG you can also get in HG and SS. So you may be better off to just wait until those games come out in your country.

Also, a tangentially-related tip - if possible, trade your legendaries from LG to Emerald, where you can clone them, rather than pal parking them directly from LG. Though if you know how to clone in Diamond or Pearl (it's NOT possible in Platinum!) that doesn't matter.

EDIT: My question: Can Golbat and/or Crobat learn Fly in Leaf Green. Bulbapedia conflicts itself, saying yes for Crobat on the Fly page but no on Crobat's moveset. Serebii says yes for Crobat. Both say no for Golbat. If Cro can learn it, I'll probably not bother with a Normal/Flying type on my team.

Crobat can in LG, I remember Agatha use Fly with her Crobat. Also, it learned it during the GSC Era, why would it lose it now?

The roaming dogs in FR/LG cannot have good IVs (they're programmed to have at least four 0s, in fact) but it is possible to get good IVs on the rest of them through sheer grit and determination (lots of SRing and battling).

Does anyone know where I can find the original pokemon art for red/blue version? The ones drawn by ken sugimori. A link would be helpful, thanks.
Yep, here you go. All the original artwork by Ken Sugimori should be archived there on Bulbapedia.

And as for my question: whenever I think of a move in RBY, I wonder if it has STAB, like... Psywave. Let's say that move, for example. Does it get STAB? Or how about this: what moves in RBY don't get STAB? I think that's an easier/better question. I ask this because some moves have set number amounts, but I don't mean moves like Seismic Toss/Night Shade/Counter, etc, I mean moves that I would be confused about and wonder if they get STAB.

Psywave for example is a great move to wonder about if it obtains STAB, so I wonder about all the other moves that do, too. Clearly moves like Surf, Thunderbolt, etc, get STAB, but what about the other rare moves never talked about, such as Psywave and moves like those. But basically put, what moves don't obtain STAB (moves like Seismic Toss/Night Shade/Counter and non-damaging moves don't need to be put into the list).

This is just one of those question I always wonder about when I'm having an RBY battle. So, to end that, might as well ask now before I forget about it later. Thanks in advance to whoever can answer it. If you don't know a reasonable answer to the question, don't reply then; it'd be a waste of both our time.

No STAB on Psywave, since it's a strange sort of set damage move. I honestly can't think of any other moves that fit your criteria of "moves you would be confused about".

Guys, I asked a while back when Latias's nature is set in pokémon sapphire, and I was told that it was at the beggining of the game. However through some research of my own, I have found that it changes if you save before watching TV and then catch it, and then turn it off again. So to confirm, the nature of latias is NOT set at the beginning of the game. Not sure about IVs though.

Ivs are set at the same time, when you watch the TV. its just like the 4th gen unleasishing mesprit or the birds.

If it's a move with a base power, it gets STAB. Normal moves included.

Moves that do damage but do NOT get STAB are thus moves that do their damage by means other than the usual calculation.

Seismic Toss, Night Shade, Counter, Psywave, Bide, Dragon Rage, Sonicboom, Horn Drill, Guillotine, Fissure come to mind. The list may not be complete.

First one I can think of not in the list, is Super Fang. (Does 50% of remaining opponent's HP worth of damage, rounded down to the nearest whole number)

how much do the EV berries reduce EVs? does it first make the EVs equal 100 (if over 110) or does it just remove 10 EVs per berry?

in 3rd gen every berry reduces by 10. In 4th gen first berry reduces to 100 (if you have over 100 EVs) and then 10 per berry.

Its just common sense. when toxic spikes are in 2 layers, it badly poisons pokemon switching it.
When you use toxic and spikes, the target pokemon will be poisoned and the switching pokemon will be hurt by spikes.

EDIT: this is for 4th gen questions and request, not 3rd gen.
3rd gen don't have toxic spikes.

there' a dude in the house on the far right of the Battle Frontier who will bet Battle Points with you for winning a certain facility. the place he talks about changes every day. so he might say "Battle Tower Singles" today and "Battle Factory Doubles" tommorrow
