Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I"m about to reset my Japanese Heart Gold Cartridge in order to RNG the ID/SID. If I recall correctly, the point at which the ID/SID is created in DPPt is the moment you Press A at the TV screen and the camera zooms out to your room. Does anybody know what point it is in HG/SS?

yes, im trying to get a certain seed on a certain date to IV abuse, on nov.1 2010... there is a spread which is B/0/30/31/A/A in a frame of 4 which is my frame for some seeds, i have verified it. the time is 14:06:23 in which i need to do it, the delay is 600,
the seed is supose to be 280E0262... i cant get passed that, can someone help? :D

When you RNG for giratina, is the extra 11 added in just when you pause (like if I clicked X, B, X, B would that be 22 advances, plus to original, so I'd be on frame 34?) or when you leave the bag?

I was wondering how you advance the RNG in HGSS. I know that the bottom left radio button advances it by 3, and the bottom right by 1, but only at 9:00. However, the time I need to enter the game at to RNG what I want is 11:58. I was wondering if anyone knows of any other ways to advance the RNG in HGSS.

The "trick" is to learn to hit high delays to get seeds with super low frames. For example, that Hex Flawless Naive Mew I just got was at a delay of 2383 and a frame of 24. I just walked 768 steps with 4 pokes in my party to get it (after only 7 SRs I got the nature I wanted too!)

If you can figure out how the radio advances your frame on your particular seedthen I guess it's worth your time, but actually, (after trying pretty much everything) I've found it easier to just walk 128 steps with X pokes in your party to get the frame you want.

Okay well could you help me out a bit perhaps? This is what I am trying to do:
(I am RNG abusing for Latios in HG)
SEED: 990b020a
FRAME: 28, 33, 37, 41, or 47
SPREAD: 29/4/28/31/31/31 (Shiny :naughty:)
ID: 39519
SID: 26361

The problem is I can't walk however many steps with X amount of pokémon in my party because Pewter city has the same amount of wandering NPC's tantamount to the amount of STD's within hooker's vagina (a lot). So I kind of either need to find out which button advances by when, otherwise monitor each separate moving NPC, which I definitely cannot do...suggestions?

Hi guys. I'm having trouble RNGing my darkrai. I've got a good spread, but my delay is 597 and I constantly get even delays. Is there anyway I can get odd delays?

I'm assuming that you've done all the initial calibration stuff? Try increasing/decreasing the year you need to enter the game on, for every year you increase it by, the delay decreases by 1, while every year you decrease it by, the delay increases by 1. Try and tailor the delay you need to hit to your delay you hit during calibration.

Or, you could try using PikaTimer. There is a link to it on the first page of this thread. Good luck!

but wouldnt increasing and decresing the years give you a new IV spread?

You could also did what I did and add a few seconds to your timer, say 4 to start, enter the game when it hits 4 seconds instead of zero and when it hits zero, talk to the Lati, see what frame you hit and add more or less to your timer. Let the NPCs do the work for you.

EDIT: @Greed: Nope. It just changes the delay from odd to even.

Ok I need some help

1. Ok, I need help determining my target delays

Platinum
delay592-608
target delays 600 & 602
(this is what I primary game which I RNG from)

Pearl

627
634
619
627
625
621
625
619
619

I guessing around 619

Diamond
626
623
624
630

620
620
628

I guess this from 620-628

all seconds are 14

I asking because for opnions because I been trying to calibrate these 2 games for some hours yesterday and my delay keep jumping(ex. diamond its goes from 624 to 631 to 619 and I tapping consistently)

2. Using JavaRNG, is the seed I plug intoRNGReporter in column A?
If so, sometimes when I find seeds for method 1 and j and plug it into RNGReport it doesnt show?

Ah! I see! One of the very few situations where walking X steps with X pokes will not work (Mewtwo as well because of the wild pokes around).

I don't know if this will help at all, but here are my notes on how I got each of my Latios from 2 separate runthroughs (before the event was over). Basically, it all boiled down to:
1)Saving in front of Latios
2)Trying to hit my seed
3)Pausing for a set amount of time before encountering him
4)Catching him, checking to see how far off I was, and adjusting from there

Neither one took that long really. The trick is to hit your seed alot, because if you wait exactly X amount of time ON YOUR SEED it will ALWAYS advance the same amount of frames.

Take Enigma Crystal to Pewter City Museum (Top Left Town, Building right above the Gym). Will Meet Steven Stone (again :P). Give crystal to attendant. They tell you it's really a Soul Dew. "Once you receive the item and leave the Museum, Steven will stop you and tell you Lati@s has arrived angrily. They will sit in Pewter City and you can challenge them" (Serebii).

Looks to be method K, cuz they just sit there. Probably lots of NPCs T_T.

With a syncher the spread is all over the place!!!

Good Clumps of frames

74, 76, 77, 78 114, 115, 116 120, 122, 124, 125, 126, 128, 130

Already "activated" Latios. Saved standing DIRECTLY in front of him with my syncher NOT IN FRONT and 4 pokes in my party. I'll check my seed just south of town on Rt 21.

Just Getting a "general idea" of how long to wait... Shoot for 74-78 1st...

1:10=F 26, D 489
1:20=F 44, D 491!!
1:35=F 84, D 489
1:32=F 61/71/ __81__/97, D 491
1:31(hair early?)=F76 , D 489

Switch Syncher to Front and "encounter" at AROUND 1:31 (hoping for 74-78)

On my seed...
Right on it= Spread just above or below >.<
1/2 sec early = F68???

Hair LATE = F72
just BEFORE 32 = F72

Yes, the seed is in column A. Some method 1 spreads don't show in method J, and some only show if you have a synchronizer. If you want to avoid the confusion, though, you can just select "Method J" to search for in JavaRNG :).

Will the new edition of JavaRNG have an option for D/P/Pt (and possibly HG/SS once it gets cracked) breeding?

EDIT: Also, what about "alternate mode" for Emerald breeding?

Hope it's not off topic, but HG/SS egg IV abuse is pretty much cracked. It's just that there seem to be a few "extra inheritences" here and there, but pretty much you can get it to work.

sorry,
i have another question about emerald ivs,
if the iv man says that only one stat is flawless (after 100 so times),
but a calculator says that the other stats are flawless,
is it because they are A's and B's on the frames?
Or is it because they aren't actually flawless (which I am 100% sure they are.)

I have a couple questions:
1. If the RNG is advanced do the coinflips still produce correct results?
2. Do the coinflips produce accurate results in the Distortion world?
3. Would it be easier to RNG Giratina in Turnback Cave?

Thanks, I've been trying to hit my seed for an hour and can't.

Yes (pretty sure), yes, and imo yes.

If you're not hitting your seed, check and see if your results are at least close. If you can't find any, catch a wild pokemon, check it's IVs, and enter the date, time, and IVs into the DPPt Seed Finder to see what you're hitting.

I have a question... does the guide here apply to Pokemon Pearl? If I follow those steps exactly on my Pokemon Pearl game should it work, or will I have to get Platinum? I've been confused because I'm sure I've been following them exactly but I can't quite get it.

Yes it works for Pearl
Well there is a few things that can go wrong when getting a shiny
Are there 6 Pokemon in your party when you are doing the Taps/Flips?
Are you making sure to flip to the Happiness checker only once?
Are you making sure that the Happiness checker is not the first app on once you enter the game?
Are you doing the taps in any kind of weather condition? i.e Sandstorm? If so that will mess it up too.
EDIT: And obviously do you have the correct ID/SID in?

Yeah, I did all that. I guess it must be I had a wrong SID or something. I'll try getting my SID again. Thanks. :D

My sincere apologies if this has already been brought up - I love your software, but I've noticed a bug in the chain to SID function. There is no option for 87.5% male and 12.5% female. Since I have a bunch of shiny Eevee I want to use to try to find my SID, this creates a bit of an issue...

Again, I don't want to be one of those people who posts about something that's already been brought up 10,000 times, but I can't seem to find any corroborations of this issue yet. So I just wanted to bring it up. Guess I'll try using my Pichu now.

Thanks again for your neat software!
