You mean odd delay? Delays are usually only odd or only even. In HGSS, on the Continue screen you can scroll down and up really fast to change them from even->odd or vice versa. This only works if you're using emloop for your timing.

If it says frame 8, you have to reject 7 eggs and the 8th will be your desired one.

Yeah... I mean that hum didnt know that trick of scrolling that very fast.. gonna try it later. And yeah I only use emloop seems to be a lot more precise then the other ways
 
Guys... is there any safe other way to advance frames on HGSS? I pretty much only use calling Joey for 2 frame and Elm for 1 frame.. but hit a frame like 200 is a really pain on the ass... any faster way? Don't know... I saw in other post about the radio being sometimes incosistent so I never used it... anyone know other methods of frame advance?
 
Are there any versions of an RNG Calc (or whatever it's called) that does not require a download?

I have Windows98, with no hope of upgrading anytime soon, and every RNG Calc I have found requires a DL, and at least Windows2000 to use.

If there is something that would either be Windows98 compatable, or requires no downloads to use, can someone link me, please?

Sorry buddy. Mingot doesn't have the time to make a thing such as what you have asked. Win98 is really old and unsupported by just about everything these days. You might as well download RNG reporter to a flash drive and then take the flash drive to a computer that can run it.

Are you sure about that? It's just, I've found that changing the year not only changes the target delay, but also the delay you end up hitting. I say this because when I tried changing the year on my Diamond cart so I could make my target delay even, I found that all my delays turned odd. Then when I turned the year back, I found they all went even again.

Concerning taking 128 steps to advance the RNG by the number of Pokemon in your party: Does this only count full steps? Or does it also count turns as it does with walking in grass?

counts full steps turning won't affect the 128 steps advancements

If I have to advance the frame a high number of times, I usually use the bottom-left corner of the radio for a while (advances at least 3 for each use, but is inconsistent), then stop well before I reach my target and use Elm calls and Seed Verifier to figure out where I actually am. Once I'm close, I use Elm and Joey exclusively to get to the target.
 
So like, I'm new around these parts, and just starting to get into RNGing. I got my SID from multiple Shiny Gyarados so I figured I'd abuse it to its greatest potential. Having some trouble though.

Right now I'm saved in front of Mewtwo, with a fainted Timid Synch Natu in the lead. Using Time Finder, I found one I want to catch on frame 14 with the seed 62030391 and spread 31/3/31/31/30/31. I need to hit a delay of 903, which I've done semi-consistently.

I use Elm calling to verify my seed is correct, and I call him a total of 13 times, and talk to Mewtwo for the last frame advancement. Except when I catch it, it turns out to be this one:

Timid 18/16/22/25/23/4

I've killed all roamers. I haven't moved and all I do to advance is use the phone. Anybody have any idea what I'm doing wrong?


ID is 28327, SID is 27480.
 
Im guessing that you need to advance the frames in ur case. Not exactly sure though cuz Im new myself and Im still stuck on catching some shinies to get my SID :(
 
What do I do to open the RNG Reporter when it says: "The Application failed to initialize (0xc0000135)."? This comes up whenever I click RNGReporter.exe. I realize something is wrong and that it can't start up, but does anyone know what I need to do to fix the problem?

I haven't had to download anything like this before.....

I just realized: Do I need a WinRAR license for it to stop saying that?

Does talking to Mewtwo count as a frame? That might be the problem.
 
Ok I understand how to rng abuse to catch pokemon in HGSS. The th¡ng I don`t understand is how to obtain a shiny egg in HGSS. Because if the frame of the egg is 14 shouldn`t I just call elm 14 times and receive the egg instead of receiving and rejecting 14 eggs? or this is completely different from catching a pokemon?. Also if I receive and reject 14 eggs while I get them I would walk more than 128 steps meaning that I would advance the frame or it doesn`t affect? also would calling elm affect my frame for a shiny egg?

no calling elm does not affect the IRNG which determines the shininess,nature, ability of the egg. So all you can do is take out 13 eggs and your 14th should be shiny with the nature, ability you want

EDIT: according to a previous post rejecting eggs works as well so you can reject 13 eggs

Ok does walking 128 steps affect the IRNG? or it doesn`t?
 
I have now started trying to use the Elm method to confirm my seed.... now just to clarify... it advances one frame each time correct? also... do E, P, and K stand for Evolution, Kanto, and what else? and how do I get said message (it seems when I call him he only talks about Kanto and Evolution....)
 
E = Evolution
P = Pokérus
K = Kanto

Note he talks about evolution in his Kanto message, but if the message says Kanto, it's the Kanto one. The evolution one talks exclusively about evolution. Haha, redundant.

Anyone have any leads on my problem? (below)

hey guys... I seem to have a bit of a problem.... I am using Emloop to try and hit a delay of 3451.... so I reset it when it told me to... caught a poke... leveled it up (big pain) and then I tried to check the seed... I entered all the correct info but for some reason it just said (no reasonable seed found) what did I do wrong?

That 31/3/31/31/30/31 spread isn't even on seed 62030391. You probably mistook it for seed 6303039A, which is so close, and yet so far.

RNGReporter.exe.config needs to be in the same directory as well. And you need to install the .NET framework.
 
@OmegaDonut: oh, poop. I used the Time Finder's generate additional times to get that seed...I'm not supposed to do that, then? I was following the guide and rereading it over and over again to see where I was going wrong. I lurked around this topic for a while too, trying to find out what was going on. >_>
