How do you know when a pokemon is hacked when they have legal IVs(all 31) legal Evs, correct place, date, time, legal moves, pokeball, everything. Is it possible to tell?
If by everything, you mean (edit:) possible moveset and nature, ID, PID, SID, and Hex values, no, unless you have some sort of hack detector straight from Nintendo I would assume.

If I Taunt a pokemon, and they use a support move which fails due to Taunt, then next turn I Encore that pokemon (my pokemon is faster), what happens?

Does Encore fail?
Is the taunted pokemon locked into struggle?
Other?

You can use PokeSav to run a hack check... although, to be honest, most people on this forum are trustworthy. It's also not worth the trouble, if you ask me.

It locks them into Struggle.
Realistic enough scenario:
Alakazam used Taunt. Jumpluff fell for the Taunt.
Jumpluff used Sleep Powder. Jumpluff can't use Sleep Powder after the Taunt.
Alakazam used Encore. Jumpluff got an Encore.
At this point Jumpluff would be locked into using Struggle, because it could only use Sleep Powder, but since Taunt rules out Sleep Powder, it can't use anything. But they would almost always switch out at this point

That is what I wanted to hear! Thank you very much! Alakazam was actually my intended recipient for the combo, though if no one else Primeape gets both moves as well.

Is it possible to tell if someone has hacked legal egg moves on a pokemon they bred?

if you know a combo of egg moves is ilegal and he use in a battle then of course its ilegal, there is no way to know before the person use (in PBR there is a anti-hack sistem for this but besides that i dont know)

Let's make this quick
Need a bit of team help: Style = Stall
Team
Lead Pert with Roar
Spikes Skarmory with Roar
Celebi with Heal Bell
TormentTran
Wish passing Latias with Roar
AgiliGross with T-Punch

Been condiering placing Rotom-H over Heatran so I have a spin blocker and Forretress over Skarm. Concerns about that are the loss of Roar and the lack of a Toxic Spikes absorber. Swampert no likey.

Opinions and Suggestions.

With concerns to Forry I could fit Spikes and T-Spikes on the same set since Rapid Spin is not really necessary for this team.
I'm thinking with Payback and Explosion.

How do you use spoiler tags on the forum?
Actually spoiler tags don't work here.
We use an alternative tag called "hide".
Instead of spoiler use "hide"

If you go advanced there's a automatic option for hide which looks like

Can you battle with alternate form Pokemon over WiFi and local wireless? Like would one be able to use Skymin, Origin Giratina, or the Rotom appliances in a WiFi battle?

for rotom forms on wifi you need a action replay and cheats since its ilegal, i dont know about skymin and giratina though(i think skymin is the same thing has rotom)

Just out of curiosity, what happens if you encore and then taunt? Do you still get the "X failed due to taunt!" and then start struggling, or just start struggling right off the bat?

If I get an male extremespeed Dratini from the Dragon's den, can I use him to continually breed extremespeed onto offspring Dratinis, or would I need both male and female extremespeed Dratinis?

It's an Egg Move, so you can use Ditto+the male Dratini just fine, yes.

If I gave my Rotom the Power Weight and Ditto an Everstone, will I get the HP IV passed down from Rotom and a 50% chance of inheriting Ditto's nature? Or do they not work together?

I'm 90% sure they work together just fine. I know I've used both at once before, and I don't ever remember having problems.

Rotom and alternate forms *do* work on local Wi-Fi, IIRC.

What makes for an effective lure? Also, what is a defensive core on a team? Is that when you have 2 main bulky Pokemon to take hits for the rest of the team?

Thanks

What is a "shoddy username"?
A person's username on the online Pokémon simulator Shoddy Battle; it helps simplify things if it's the same as your Smogon username, although it doesn't have to be. There are multiple Shoddy Battle servers, but people here are most likely to be referring to Smogon's server (which is the most popular amongst Smogonites for pretty obvious reasons, and which happens to be the most popular anywhere anyway, so many people from outside Smogon play on it too in order to find matches easily). For information on Shoddy generally, see http://www.shoddybattle.com/; for information on Smogon's Shoddy Battle server, see http://www.smogon.com/shoddybattle/. (Using a simulator is normally the easiest way to find a battle, because it's much quicker to enter a team into the simulator and start playing than it is to spend hours building up a flawless in-game team. Not to mention, the battles themselves are faster due to having no arbitrary delays in the battle code.)

For RNG purposes, what is the difference between Method J and Method 1? I'm trying to learn how to RNG, and I'm reading conflicting information - most guides say that all pokemon, wild or not, in D/P/HG/SS are created through Method 1 (whereas 2-4 are for RSEFRLG), but then the RNG Mechanics Guide says that legendaries like Dialga and Palkia are created through Method J?

Additionally, is there a reason Method J is not just called Method 5? Is it perhaps a subcategory of Method 1?
