Nintendo have announced that the Winner's Path Pokéwalker course is to be given over WiFi for Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver from tomorrow, May 6th until June 25th 2010. This event will be available for America, Canada, Europe and Australasia. It has numerous Pokémon in it with moves they may not normally know such as a Zen Headbutt Beldum and a Self Destructing Munchlax.

I've been waiting for this event for the longest time. I'm so ready to get my Beldum on.

Sweet, I was just looking this up earlier today to see when it would be available. And now that the Pokéwalker RNG has been cracked, we can expect IV perfect Self Destruct Snorlaxes at the VGC...
 
Can you breed the Selfdestruct on another Munchlax? I can't RNG, so it would be hard to get a good one if I can't be bred.

Since it's not an egg move, it can't be bred. Sorry. :[

On another similar note, all the Munchlax will be holding Leftovers, for those who struggled to find multiples of that item.

RNGing the Pokéwalker is about 30 times as easy as doing the game, since you always hit the same delay. On the other hand, it can be a lot more tedious and time consuming, since to get higher frames you have to catch Pokémon.

a most tedious task indeeed, finding the pokemon, catching it while making sure it doesn't run doesn't help either. Then theres the problem of did I get the right nature, it seems that any little thing can screw up an attempt to manipulate the nature of the pokemon in question. So its nice if you have a self destruct munchlax with iVs 31/31/31/x/31/x but its not gonna do much good if it comes with a timid nature or something of the like. Anyway, its just nice to see that we can now attempt to do this in the other versions.
 
I've been looking forward to this, wish they would have kept it as champ path though, that name sounded better. same with notched ear pichu becoming spiky ear.

Anyway, beside self destruct munchlax you can get choice specs from the path, which without cloning or hacks could only be obtained once per play through. Not to mention some other items that would normally be pricey at the battle frontier.
 
Is there news on what level the Munchlax and Pokemon will be received at? Selfdestruct Munchlax sounds pretty good, especially in Little Cup.
 
Is that Horsea anything special? It seems as if those are moves it learns naturally, except Muddy Water which isn't useful in Singles.
 
Sucks I don't work tomorrow. I get an estimated 25,000 steps a work-day. I'll have to find other ways to get the steps tomorrow.. any cheap ideas that work for you guys?
