You know it's an epic thread when you can say "Back a couple hundred pages I was speculating..."

I lol'd at your thought process about Claydol. But I agree that actual "relic" Pokemon are a great idea, Claydol was really unique. And there is literally tons of material here for a Pokemon to be based on. But even a standard "fossil" Pokemon would work nicely, I hope we get at least two of them.

I'm interested in the Electula most, now that all the "OMG ARIADOS EVO" has died down. I hope we find out a lot of juicy new info about it (and the mole too).
 
Bug/Electric is actually quite good typing. Electric STAB without being weak to Ground. It is weak to Rock and Fire, but STAB Thunderbolt (or possibly Wild Bolt) is great, and Signal Beam (I don't think it'll get Bug Buzz) to hit Grassers, especially Celebi. Not to mention, it walls Scizor except Superpower Also, with the amount of Psychic types GF has revealed already, could we expect to see a more Psychic meta? Bug boy might also get some of Ariados' cool tricks like Baton Pass and Agility, better yet, Spider Web. I've been hoping we get a good trap Passer not named Umbreon.

Hm, relics would be a cool change. I agree, I would like a Fossil Trio, or heck, even just 2 normal ones and Aero v2. I hope you don't just get given the relics again... I want to be able to get them repeatedly, like mining.

Also, what gyms can we expect to see. Some people think a bug Gym has been revealed so far and its about time for a Dark gym IMO, especially with a few Darks revealed so far.

Plus, I'm willing to bet that theres more to the map than the image we've see so far. We could be expecting a Battle Frontier, possibly on those 2 islands, but it could be on the other side of the mountians.

Also, since the method of Travel, i.e. Boat or Plane required to reach Isshu was mentioned, instead of just saying, its very far away, can we expect to see travel to sinnoh, or Hoenn (honestly, I can't see Johto/Kanto being revisted so soon after HGSS, and personally, I'm leaning towards Hoenn for this reason). Perhaps some lonely fisherman with a wingull will take us there?

A Magic Lamp. Genie Pokemon. Psychic/Ghost, maybe? Fire/Ghost could also easily work with the Genie concept, as they have been associated with fire on some occasions.

Desukan and the mole are what I want to know about. mainly Desukan, because it seems to have to most potential for a unique typing (Ground/Ghost is my bet) and ability. the Mole is just bad ass, like you said. I'm expecting part steel typing, and since it's a mole I'm going to guess Ground/Steel.
 
I thought Desukan was confirmed to ge Ghost/Rock. I like this typing since it could represent a great asset for Sandstall. Gets the Boost of T-Tar, with Ghost giving a much needed Fighting Immunity, as well as providing a bug resist to protect T-Tar and Cradilly. Furthermore, Will-O-Wisp will make it a great mixed wall, and unlike Rotom, it doesn't have to worry about Heatran switching in and getting Flash Fire, since it resists fire. Give it half decent SpD, nice D and HP, possibly Earth Power and we have the makings of s Great mixed Sandstream Wall. I don't think it'll get a lot of speed sadly, Coffins aren't exactly fast
 
I don't know why, but i really like koromori's design. I don't know what it is, but it's awesome. It's just a shame about the heart nose.

I hope our 3rd legendary dragon(more than likely will be dragon) is half ice type. I have been wanting that typing for ages, then when i saw Reshiram i thought we had it until it was shown to be a fire type =/ that was the biggest wrist slap ever for me.

Bug resists Fighting so actually, Bug/Electric walls Scizor completely. Lol.


Not that I believe the tarantula will actually be bulky enough to wall Scizor but whatever.

I could swear for a moment Electric resisted Bug but yeah, you're right.

Ancient relics would be kinda cool for fossils. Speaking of fossils, I fail to see why every single fossil poke is part Rock. I mean I know it's a fossil but was the thing REALLY a Rock when it was alive? And I miss the whole third fossil thing they had in pokemon blue.
 
I've always loved fossils to death, but there aren't many types that go well with rock. Grass/rock is prooobably the best, maybe ghost/rock though.
 
Am I the only one, who wants a Skill Swap Slaking? Truant is such an annoying ability and even in double battles, you would have to weaken one of your other pokemon first, in order to use Slaking.

I'm almost sure TheMaskedNitpicker had reported in this very same thread a few dozen pages ago Skill Swap does not work on Slaking.


And lol "Truant is annoying", the whole point of Slaking is its ability. Had it, say, kept Vital Spirit instead, not only would it be a completely different pokémon concept-wise, but also stat-wise. Actually, it would not even be something close to Slaking. A Vigoroth evo with Vital Spirit would be like, huh, Tauros. But better.
 
I don't know if it's been said, but for an ancient relic duo, a Baghdad Battery would be EPIC. Rock/Electric, with Levitate.

Other options. . . none. Now demanding a Baghdad battery.

Flareon already has Fake Tears...

Flareon also cries real tears at probably being left behind for yet another generation as its siblings get more new tricks and cool toys while it still doesn't have a decent physical STAB.
