On a serious note, the minezumi's evo looks awful. The deer looks decent (just hoping it's not Stantlers prevo), and the swan is ok. I'm just really excited for the seasons and the areas you can walk around in (I mean, the bridge at sunset and the subway blows everything else out of the water).
Also about 3v3, am I just reading it wrong or does serebii say that you can only control the middle?
@King of Harts: I think they were just going for Guard or Tackle stance and just botched it up (I mean really, right arm too close to feet and left arm looks like he is already holding the ball).

I really hope other people immediately thought of Oath to Order when they saw those attacks. Maybe they grant a temporary (1-2 turns) boost to all your stats. You know, like you're calling upon the Gods and they grant you power.
Maybe. It just bugs me as someone who played football. I mean, it's so easy to google "Fullback Stance" and get a decent picture of one without having to do it based on stereotypes.
From what I understand, there are two 3v3 styles: One that's more akin to Doubles as we know it, and a "spin" version. The first style, you'd control all three at once, and the second, you control only the middle, so it's more like singles. The difference being that you can apparently switch between either of your two other 'out' Pokemon and attack without wasting a turn.
Ah, ok, guess I just skipped over that part. I'm hoping this is only going to be a cup style function (such as Baby/Little Cup on the 2nd floor of Poke Centres), and if not, it is going to be irritating to have trainer battles like this in-game. It just sounds stupid/unnecessary.
@King of Harts: yea I used to play also. Irritates me just as much.
I actually like the idea of the rotating battle since it'll really test your ability to predict. However, it does seem like it'll take longer than a normal battle since people could constantly rotate to resist attacks, but one every now and then seems fun (hopefully, though, it won't be on the VGC since that would take forever). If they ever made an Orange Islands area, this would make a great battle theme.

Idunno, Miruhoggu doesn't look bad IMO. I mean he's obviously supposed to be a meerkat (Meerhog? C'mon) and those things are so ridiculously lanky :/

Seriously guys, there are the new pokemon, and we can't do anything about them anymore, just get used to them and stop bitching about them. I'm actually liking them
Actually, I'm pretty sure "meer" would be pronounced differently in kana. Something like "miaa" or "miiru" (with the elongated "i" sound). I'm pretty sure it's a groundhog, or atleast a meerkat/groundhog hybrid, but considering "miru" in and of itself has a meaning that fits perfectly with Minezumi and Miruhog's theme, I don't think it's supposed to be "meer".
I'm loving the new Pokemon. The deer is incredibly cute (step aside Bambi), Miruhoggu looks interesting to say the least, and the swan (looks more like a stork to me but w/e) looks cool too. Team Plasma has the best designs of any Team so far (sorry Team Aqua). The cut scene looks a lot better than anything we've seen before, and the graphics overall are a huge step up (specifically how the camera moves in the overworld). I cannot wait til September when we find out everything. :)
Actually, I don't feel the graphics are a "huge" step up (well, except for the 3D cutscene(s), that/those looked amazing), but using the camera to emphasize the 3D more than Gen IV did is nice.
I'm really growing attached to the idea of playing in other people's worlds. So cool. You can pop out of nowhere like the rivals do in the games and battle... but I guess you can technically avoid another player, unlike scripted rival battles.
Pokemon has a very specific artstyle, specifically for the over-world. They've done as much as they could have with the DS imo, given the aforementioned point. I don't think people understand how much code is involved with things like the dynamic camera alone, and I know people have said Golden Sun or whatever has amazing graphics but I've never seen what they're talking about. Most DS games are built in levels, which you travel to and have to leave through a specific exit. Pokemon is very much a free roam game, which takes a lot more processing power.
Miruhoggu isn't my favorite, but hey, we got Wargle and Meguroko out of the deal. Check out Reshiram and Zekrom at the end of the trailer...
Music Shows: Extra fluff (no I'm not referring to Reshiram, get your minds out of the gutter,) added to appease preteen girls is extra fluff added to appease preteen girls. We will ignore these unless it turns out Game Freak is secretly in cahoots with Activision and you can play Guitar Hero Pokemon with said feature.
The rest of the game looks awesome, including seasonal effects. I think Game Freak is working to give the DS one last run for its money...
Meerhog would be an interesting English name nonetheless.
Miruhoggu is hurting my eyes ._. So. Ugly. And why is it so tall? Either it's the skyscraper Pokemon or Pokemon like Gyarados and Steelix are going to have HUGE sprites in B/W.
Evil teams just get weirder and weirder each generation.. And I see no connection between Team Plasma's outfits and the word plasma. Galactic dressed in space-y attire, Aqua as sailors/pirates and Magma dressed as devils. Team Rocket just had a red R on their black uniform, no rocket, but they were badass enough that it can be excused. When you see a trainer with a whip who is also a member of an evil organisation, you know they mean business. You see team Plasma and you start laughing.

The deer is very cute, but Miruhoggu is easily my favourite of teh new reveals.
On another note, the Pokemon musical is there for people who'll like it and will most likely be optional like the Pokemon contests.
I just get the feeling some people are desperate for attention with some of the comments they post at these times.

Likely large sprites for those two, yes. I'd rather have a more intimidating look to them anyway.
I think it's more likely that they resemble terrorists that wish to undo mankind's control over the world of Pokemon, and will therefore use Pokemon slaves to do it. Hey, I don't see it making much sense either, but at least we can snicker a bit before smashing some knight's Zubat-esque Pokemon into the ground.
