Zekrom looks really badass in that gif.

Also, in that massive map on the official site a few paces up from that giant spiraly tower in the middle, I'm pretty sure that's the city that is either electronic or looks like a slum (it's split in half on this map). And there appears to be a black tower with two faces on either side.

Man there is so much stuff going on, on this map... Ingame is gonna be awesome.

Well, there's SOME place called Ryuurasen Tower up there. It could be the one with two dragon heads on it.

I can kinda see the logic behind that place surrounding it being Black City. But I sorta wonder how they're handling that-- are the cities in two different places but one is locked off depending on your game? Or are Black City and White Forest in the same place, with one replacing the other depending the version? For all we know Black City and White Forest may not even be represented on the map.

The place in top left that has a building covered with clouds and a gate in front. The gate looks familiar, is it the one that a guy was standing guard at in one of the demos? If it is, THAT building might be Ryuurasen Tower.

Personally, I think that they should make more types immune to Hail. This would make it a lot more playable, and give it the considerable buff that it needs. Water makes the best contender, but I also believe that Rock would be good as well. This does make Rock immune to all damaging weather effects, but come on...It's Rock type. It already takes SE damage from pretty much every pokemon on Hail and Sandstorm teams.

@Ericcc: Steel doesn't need any more buffs. That's really the only reason why I didn't suggest it.

Steel also fits with being immune to hail imo,
We'll see what GF cooks up for B/W...

I think it's confirmed that they're the same location, but they will have industrial buildings or happy trees depending on the version. Don't ask me which is which, because I have no clue.

It is an interesting point though. What does the map show in the spot where Black City/White Forest should be?

White version will have the White Forest, while Black version will have the Black City.

Black City for Black, White Forest for White.
I personally think Black City looks cooler, and the people look more mysterious.
EDIT: Already said by BBB.

Reshirom and Zekrom. And not guy, but pokemon, there's no black guy. But Reshiram still looks cooler imo.

Black City and White Forest... probably the city that is half white and half black and the forests around it.

You can only access the area of your version while its counterpart is locked.

The really cool and powerful thing about hail is that so many types take damage.
Some non-ice team-mates that can avoid hail damage will be useful for Hail teams though.

Clefable is one but it is unfortunately weak to Fighting like just about everything else on a Hail team.
Now we know there will be Rankurusu who resists Fighting and should have some bulk to take neutral attacks.

My Hail team has a Starmie and Hariyama; and let me tell you, they help a fuckton.

Yeah Magic Guard and one called Dust Proof which prevents damage from weather. It may affect your allied pokemon in 2/3v2/3 battles as well, differentiating it from Magic Guard.

So ,when do you think the English names for all the new pokemon will be revealed? don't tell me it's when the games released in America, England and Australia :(

Woah ohmigawd.
I just saw the map on the website. This game is going to be amazing, and it looks pretty huge too. Even more so if it stretches all the way to the windmills and that thingy in the top left.

Some things I've noticed:

The icy mountain on the west side of the map - There are two entrances to it, one of them seems open while the other has something which looks like spider web blocking it?

Also, the desert above hiun city - The ruins there seem rather modern... also, if just using geographic features, you can pretty much split the region into two halves vertically and it'll be about equal. Perhaps the desert in the middle was place of some epic battle between Reshiram and Zekrom which both ruled half of sinnoh equally? Also, there's a town/building a bit above the tornado thingy or whatever it is, which seems to be half black and half blue, with black structure in the middle. Perhaps one half of the region is highly technological while the other is sort of nature based? (If that's true, it would support theory of black town and white forest being in other places). It seems that west side is technological (well, maybe with the exception of windmills) as it has rather modern looking port, airport, etc. while the east side is more nature based, as the only hints of technology are the 100 year old railway and the abandoned (heh, wonder why it was abandoned)

Also, there are some squares (white and red/orange) behind the clouds on the east ice mountain. Perhaps just a graphical error on the map, but it might be something interesting...

This is totally unrelated, but don't run. Walk. You wont "attract their attention" that way.

Okay, somewhat related. I put together these GIFs of Zekrom and Reshiram:
ReshiramRoastR-1.gif
ZekromZap.gif

Bigger versions are here:
Reshiram
Zekrom

explosive diarrhea never looked so awsome :x Im loving reshiram now.

Speaking of improving Hail, Ice types should really resist Dragon and Grass as well. Ice resisting Dragon immediately takes it from a horrible defensive type to 'situationally manageable', and resisting Grass makes perfect sense with planets not wanting to hit frost/ice.

Fire types, by virtue of melting Hail/Ice/Snow should definitely be another type immune to Hail. It would be more interesting if Hail damage was affected by weaknesses, ala Stealth Rocks. Whereas only Ice is Immune, but a pure Fire type would only take 3% damage per turn, whereas a Pokemon weak to it would take a maximum of 12% per turn (even with double weakness). 25% per turn would be absurd for a weather.
