Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - mark 24 (READ THE OP)

can anyone tell me the action replay codes for action replay dsi for fast egg hatch, iv checker, and walk a step recieve an egg for soul silver.

Rule 7 of this thread:

7. This is already in the Smogon and Stark forum rules, but I will reiterate again do not discuss ROMs or other illegal things. Also, don't ask for AR codes here. Use google for that.

EDIT: lol he got mad

@elroid; seeing as you don't have the boost from Swift Swim, I'm going to suggest a simple 252 Att, 252 Spe, 6 Hp spread here, to get as much speed as possible.

Kingdra @ Life Orb/Leftovers/Razor Claw/Lum Berry
Sniper
Adamant
252 Atk/252 Spd/6Hp
Dragon Dance
Outrage
Waterfall
Return/Bounce

Kingdra's physical moveset isn't too good, so DDance is a viable option. For the items there are several options: Life Orb boosts your damage, Lefties give a bit survivability, Razor Claw boosts crit chance, so you can put the Sniper ability to good use. Lum gives you certainty after Outrage.
There are better movesets out there I think, but this one can work out.

If i am going with razor claw/scope lens, will focus energy be a good idea? it should provide around 33.3% crit rate if I am not wrong.

Totally unrelated note: Thanks mattj for yesterday's giveaway :)

Stuck in a large pickle at the moment.

Me and my friends have just gotten serious about competitive battling, mainly Uber play.
Only problem is, one of my friends insists using his hacked BLAZIKEN from Ruby. We've tried to persuade him to stop but he doesn't. I know a blaziken shouldnt do well in uber, but it is. It has perfect IV's, 252 evs for atk/spe, and look at it's moveset:

Sky Uppercut
Blaze Kick
Sacred Fire
Rock Wrecker

Obviously, the last two are hacked. And it's holding leftovers

He's really a good friend otherwise, but that Blaziken is ruining my team. Is there any Uber that counters this well?

Kyogre, Ho-Oh that outspeeds (as long as you don't switch it into Rock Wrecker), Mence does well (same thing with Rock Wrecker), Latias survives ALL of its moves and OHKOes back with Surf, plenty more.

I'm confused about something. People say evolution has no effect on EV training yet they'll point out differences in evolved forms. For example people say Scizor is slower than Scyther. But if that's true how can the statement about evolution not having an effect on EV training be true? If your Pokemon will end up with the same stats either way, why should it matter when you evolve it or what it evolves into?

scizor has a lower base speed then scyther and evs boost on a fixed number, 4 evs will always boost the stat by 1 point total at level 100(neutral nature), scyther losing speed when evolving into scizor only has to do with they base speed what is not affected by evs.

scyther will still have the same evs after evolving but the speed will be lower because scizor has a lower base speed. it wont affect the ev training in any way, when you evolve it doesnt matter.

Even if the Scyther wasn't EV trained, the Scizor loses sped as it evolved from Scyther because of the lower base speed, but every other stat (i think) goes up a good chunk after evolving, because the base stats are different, otherwise, evolving your Pokemon would be stupid and a waste of time (besides looks. ^_^)

Alright, out of curiosity why isn't the Lv. 1 Endeavor Smeargle set not around anymore? I don't remember the exact moveset but it consisted of Spore, Endeavor, Dragon Rage, Extremespeed, and a Focus Sash. Don't quote me on this, but you get the idea.
I was curious to see if there was something that countered it so i tested it out in a team i've been putting together(it isn't part of the team at all but it was the quickest way to test the set). Out of 10 battles, the smeargle brought 14 pokemon to 13 HP and fainted 4. Is there a glaringly obvious counter I'm missing out on? Sorry, but this has been eating away at me lately. Thanks!

Oh, well there's a new set about a FEAR Smeargle lead that has been approved by C&C and is going to be uploaded whenever the next update to the site will be. ;)

In addition to the abundance of ghost types, that set is also hindered by entry hazards(stealth rock, spikes, toxic spikes to a lesser extent) lum berries, priority moves, and sandstorm/hail. All of these ruin smeargles sash except lum, which makes smeargle use spore again, probably dying in the process

The only thing that Smeargle does for that set other than Spore is a Priority move. Otherwise, a Clefairy-line user vastly outdoes this set because of immunity to entry hazards and harmful weather, which means it can use Endeavor successfully without sacrificing itself, allowing you to see the next switch-in or use as successful death fodder.

Also, SubGengar laughs hard at this. Then wrecks your shit.

Like SatiSuicune mentioned, there's an approved thread about this in the Contributions and Corrections forum. Here is that thread.

Also, let the guy use this Smeargle if he wants to. I'm sure he can come up with/has teammates that help him through those shortcomings. There's no need to belittle it.

May i know what are the legal hacks that were allowed for battles? So far i only know movesets, IV/EV, Rotom forms and some event pokemon. Did i still missed something?
