I like the idea that Isshu has these Pokémon seem similar to previous generation of Pokémon. The region is so far apart that the Pokémon of the "same" "specie" look different. It's like in the western world the cows look different than those in india etc. It's kinda cool.

With good defenses (which he should have) the ghost could really make use of
Mummy. He's the anti priority pokemon. Switches in on Technician Scizor, takes a bullet punch, does a :naughty: Since the ability of a pokemon can define its very use, this seems useful to me. Its also interesting that it doesn't have a %, it just straight up does it.

It is odd how Game Freak who wanted this Generation to be a totally new one would recycle starter types, probably the best indictator of something new.

I really do not like the fact that Pokabu is turning into a wrestler or the fact that Miju is eventually going to be retarded. *sigh* I've never used a water type starter before and was really looking forward to using one this generation. It kind of pisses me off that Tsu is going to get lost in the mayhem seeing as we have a shit load of grass types already. Hopefully they will have niche roles and Tsu can be important (have there been any grass starters in OU? :|)

Oh well, I like a lot of the other pokemon especially the new grass ones. They all look cute, but at the same time evil. I love the Cat and Dog pokemon as well as Denchura. I am going to have one heck of a fire type weakness. :P

So I guess after gushing over all the shitty looking Gen 5 Pokemon (with exception to Wargle, totally getting the game just for Wargle), now everyone absolutely hates the starters? They look pretty damn good. Smugleaf looks alot like some of the entries in the Smeargle art contest, can't really complain about the others.

I guess Desukaan is another bulky ghost since it has to take hits for Mummy to trigger.
The thing is, so many contact moves are Normal or Fighting which can't make contact on a Ghost.
BTW, Pursuit makes contact and Slaking learns it which means the end of Truant is essentially guaranteed if Slaking switches in on Desukaan.

CompoundEyes is awesome on Denchura since a number of Electric attacks are inaccurate.
I think it is a 30% accuracy boost so doesn't Thunder become 100% accurate and Zap Cannon become 80% accurate?
If so, Zap Cannon, if learned, will have the power and accuracy of STAB Hydro Pump with guaranteed paraysis when it connects.
That is enough to "make" a Pokemon the way Dynamic Punch defines DP Machamp.

Violent Fish Pokemon is pretty cool with Reckless/Adaptability.
However, if the leaked Pokedex is right, it does not evolve unfortunately.
Also Ononokusu appears not to be the Pseudo (though there could be more than one).
Mold breaker is cool but a lot less interesting without a secondary typing.
Eh, I guess KO-ing Shedinja with Dragon Tail isn't too bad.

Wotter being a Samurai was ruined by the fact that a Legendary now has Water/Fighting type.

I know they do sometimes reuse typings, but if I was Game Freak I would try to make my Legendaries as unique as possible. Poor Wotter :(

Rock/Fighting type Legendary seems accident prone... Pure Flying type Legendary is neat... and it appears the speculation on an Ice Dragon Legendary as a counterpart to the two main dragons is definitely possible now seeing as there is one in the game, whether or not it is a third part is unknown.

lol slaking does learn pursuit, really if Desukaan gets popular expect slaking on the rise. Now that's scary, why would anyway wanna bring in a bait pokemon with them? Suppose it won't be used much =(

Slaking Pursuiting a Desukaan is way to situational to make even the slightest of an impact, imo. And besides, Desukaan is nearly guaranteed to learn Will-O-Wisp anyway.

Even if the starter images are confirmed, there types are still up in the air right (although it seems everyone is leaning to fire/fighting, water, grass?).

If it turns out to be plain cheese typings for the startes, I'm goin with smuglord.

I think I want Smuglord anyway. I've never went with a grass starter before, though Torterra was tempting both the other starters were too awesome.

No, from Smogon's Compound Eyes page:

This is a multiplicative increase, not additive, meaning if a move has 50% accuracy before Compoundeyes, it is brought to 65% total accuracy afterward.

Thunder does become 91% accurate, though, which is really great.

*sigh*another Fire/Fighting. Whatever, they all look really cool now that I've seen them more. Futachimaru for the win!

I'm hating the pig evos so much (design and typing).
I didn't like the deer as it was so gay, but its evo it's AMAZING, even the flower version looks manly.
Chinfish, Mummy, Axedragon and Eletrantula look amazing too.
Afrobuff looks uninteresting, it's Tauros again. The rock thing is fine for a 1st stage, I hope it evolves. Tabunne its another "look its so cute", I will only let it live if it's useful in battle. The grass things are uninteresting too, the one I prefer is the Pokemushroom. The cat is boring, evil Espeon. The dog has potential, I need to see the evos. Steelmole is Ok.
I hate the monkeys. I like Emonga only because of its typing.

WAIT, do we have to "play" to transfer pokemon? Nonononono!!!

Mummy seems another try to nerf physical moves, I like it.
Compoundeyes STAB Thunder is amazing, but it can be physical...
The signature moves of the mascots look meh. The power increases AFTER being used by the other one? Very very situational (and they resists each other...)
STAB Normal Head Smash from the Reckless Buffalo seems to hurt.

Thanks for that clarification.
The Thunder boost is still pretty good.

Someone hasn't been doing his homework.

Anyways, just 5-6 days left until we get to see all Pokémon bit by bit. Serebii will get his game by Thursday or Friday. If anyone isn't getting the game before him.

So the conspiracy theories go up in smoke. Those typings, though... blehhh.

I wish Corocoro had explained all the new abilities. I'm a little disappointed the first Gym battle isn't a triple battle, it seems really obvious to me.

It doesn't say Ononokusu is Kibago's prevo but it has the same abilities so that pretty much confirms it. Pure Dragon-type, though... blehhh. I wanted to see how we'd react to a Dragon/Steel.

I... I still can't tell what Tabunne is. It looks even stranger now.

I wonder what Bassrao is supposed to be. It seems to be some kind of fish specifically based on the two forms thing but I don't know what it could be.

You know, Buffalon looks like it as an af-- okay, HAS an afro based on the attack Afro Break, LOL.

So much new information I can't keep my thoughts straight.

No, someone just claims to have a ROM of it and keeps leeking the new Pokemon little by little. I'm not believing any of it, though.

oh sorry i thought that black came out just a few days ago (i missread and thought that it came out the 8 and when i went on the serebii news on the 8th it said that just under 1 week until black and white come out and so i got confused and i saw this) and i have black on hold at gamestop

If Melkor is telling the truth, then both Gigaiasu and Ononokusu are the final stage of Dangoro and Kibago respectively. Since he's been right about all these Pokémon shown today, there might be a chance he is.

Sceptile is viable, and I use a Torterra in my TR team.

And guise. Yes, Water/Fighting while there is both a Water/Fighting legendary and a Fire/Fighting starter, is pretty unlikely, it isn't beyond TF, and a Samurai does not necessarily have to be fighting. Fighting, to me, implies brute force - a Samurai that is not. It could, for example be Psychic or Dark. Porky3 isn't even guranteed Fire/Fighting - we only know Porky2's type combo.

Yeah, a samurai, technically, probably wouldn't even be part Fighting, since the Fighting-type is based on hand-to-hand combat (then again, considering they are fixing that this gen with the construction clown Fighting-type, a Fighting-type samurai wouldn't be out the question).

I like Boiling Water. Such a cool flavorful move.

*cough* Dialga is Steel/Dragon *cough*

Isnt Afro Break kind of a racist move? What about Aloe, black woman dressed like a cook looking like an 18th century slave woman.

Call me a Negative Nancy if you'd like but didnt Gamefreak/Nintendo/Pokemon/whatever got sued back years ago just becouse Jinx had black skin?
