I don't think anyone can help much, haha, but I'll try asking anyway. So, I was trying to pokewalker RNG...
I was trying for this (just an experiment, ultimately I'm aiming for something better):
Seed: 190a0056
Frame: 13
IV: 31 / 30 / 30 / 5 / 31 / 0
I was experimenting with how pokemon joining and returning from stroll affects RNG and IRNG... From what I figured / read, pokemon joining had no "additional" effect. I.e. it is the same as capturing, except with joining, you can "catch" 4 pokemon in one go instead of 3, thus advancing frames faster. However, obviously, I'd have to return from stroll in order to have the joined pokemon to advance the RNG, and ... I thought that returning from stroll advances IRNG by an additional 40 frames (so 192 + 40 = 232 in total including the 192 for walker-ds connection).
So I got a Bronzor to join, caught 3 pokemon, returned from stroll.
Then I got another Bronzor to join. 5 empty gift walker-to-ds connections, caught 3 pokemon (3rd being munchlax), and then send via gift. i.e. the bronzor that joined never returned yet, so I should only have 4 + 3 = 7 pokemon returned to DS, which means the munchlax is at frame 1 + (7-1)*2 = 13.
1 return from stroll + 5 empty gift connections + 1 gift connection + 7 pokemon = 232 + 5*192 + 192 + 7 = 1391. That's the IRNG frame I expected my munchlax to be on. 1391 corresponds to Brave nature.
However, my Munchlax ended up being Calm (nature#20), with the correct IVs. The pokemon before Munchlax was Rash (19), and the one before that was Careful (23). I looked at the IRNG list and saw that 23, 19, 20 corresponded to frames 1393, 1394, 1395 (I don't see the same pattern anywhere else near that).
So it seemed like... somehow the IRNG advanced an extra 4 frames (expected 1391 for munchlax, got 1395). Does returning from stroll advance IRNG an extra frame per pokemon returned? (That would explain it for this scenario, but of course can't be sure with just one experiment) Or... is there something else I might have missed? (Or simply) what went wrong? lol.
... I know, I can "easily" get the right spread and nature with just "receive via gift", but I just want to test out whether a combination of returning from stroll + receive via gift might make advancing frames (& getting the wanted nature) faster.
EDIT: I just tried this with another seed and frame. Seems like it's a consistent 4 IRNG frames of shifting. Let's see if I can use that to my advantage.
