Challenge The Scramble Challange

Navel, i'm gonna give you a slightly different challenge:

You get a MEP! But it's not just any old MEP. This one comes with a free Shinx! Here's the deal: You have to catch a Shinx on the first route you encounter one, and must have one by the time you reach Floaroma Town. Call it Fuego. It has no restrictions.

BUT...

...Unfortunately, Dialga does not like this Shinx and kills it during your Battle at the Spear Pillar. Therefore, you must immediately release (or box, if you don't like releasing) Fuego after Spear Pillar. It will be replaced with a MEP, which you will catch under Lv. 15. This MEP may only battle Trainers or you may fight wild pokemon on Iron Island with it. Also, it may not hold Exp. Share under any circumstances. Call it "DamnYouA1!".

Oh, and if you don't know what a MEP is, it's a prize we give to all newcomers to this thread. A Mono Electric Pachirisu, i.e. a Pachirisu that can only use electric attacks in battle.

Team for Platinum Scramble:

Zdrup, take a Buneary and call it Easter. As a Ghost-Killer, this Buneary wins as it must always know foresight. It must always have Return and a fighting move, with one non-attacking move of your choice. It must then solo one of Fantina's pokemon using only the normal and fighting moves in order to evolve.

Therefore:
When you first get Pokeballs, you must immediately purchase another 5, and go and catch as many Bidoofs as you can with these 10 balls in route 201. You must keep the one with the highest stat total (if it is a tie, keep the one you caught first, because it obviously saw you faster and had better reflexes) and name it Atheno if it is male or Athena if it is female.

It must solo a Pokemon in every gym, and after doing so must learn a move of the type of the gym you just defeated before the next gym (this is actually possible). It must also solo Cynthia's Garchomp, after which it may not forget Curse, the ??? move, to show its mastery of all fighting styles. To celebrate defeating it, you must march through route 201, with Athen@ at the front of your party, and stay the night there as celebrations take place.

Finally, you must keep Athen@ after the League, and it begins to hate all of the newcomers, which means that in any double battle, it must only use moves which damage in some way the newcomers until either they are all knocked out or the battle is won. You must also solo an elite four member on the second way through, to demonstrate that it is keeping up its training still, in an unending quest for ultimate fighting skill.

Take a Gastly.

Name it Ghast, as it's quite ghastly.

Recap:
Ghastly Gastly must solo ten Galactic Grunts plus one Galactic Admin (not necessarily the first).
Haunting Haunter must solo one Pokemon from every Gym, plus the entire first Cyrus battle

zdrup: Take an Onix named Puff.

This Onix lives by the sea, so it has to solo one of the water gym leader's Pokemon.
It frolicks in the autumn mist, so you aren't allowed to use Defog on any of the routes.
And it lives in a land called Honah Lee, so it must solo a pokemon whose names begin with H, O, N, A, H, L, E, and E, in order. You can battle Pokemon in between those letters, but again, it must be in order.

Take a Rotom named Loser, it cannot know any moves you had it use during the SPL, and one of its moves must be Thundershock. If you ever find one of the Pokemon I used on my team, you must send in Rotom and LET IT FAINT. Thus, through your game I will get my revenge! Mwahaha! If, while waiting for Rotom to faint, the other Pokemon faints first, then Rotom must go all the way back to Mt. Coronet, and find a Level 13 Geodude, and let it defeat Rotom as Rotom helplessly Thundershock's it :P Thus, I shall be avenged.

A1- You get a Budew called "Cr8ivity". Therefore, its moves must correspond to the colour on its body. As a Budew, that's Green, Red and Blue. So it must learn Grass, Fire and Water attacks. It must know these move types to evolve to Roselia (yes this is possible).

Roselia, however, is more aggressive, so it must solo one pokemon of each type represented by each colour (yet again, red green and blue, Fire Grass and Water) before the 6th gym.

After that, Roselia wilts, and she becomes frail. The Base Power of her moves cannot exceed 90 in total, Hidden Power costs her 50 BP. If she faints, then she knows she won't wake up again, and you must go on without her. Must hold Choice Scarf after the soloing mission.

-Slot for doom

I still need four pokemons to use after the E4 (I can't be able to catch them before the E4). Creativity people!

@lolcat: I can't trade so do you wanna add restrictions to your Haunter? (as some of you may know on my first scramble I ended up with a gastly against the E4 so Haunter is a plus)

@auramaster: please don't give more details about my rotom, ok? The final Round is upon us and I already have to change my team a bit so don't make me change rotom too.

^zdrup, i will give you teh exact same thing Navel gets. Enjoy.

I'm pretty sure I'm not a newcomer... I'm more of a veteran here.
And I was expecting some creativity from you - not the most seen challenge - or I wouldn't save you a slot. Kind of a disappointment coming from you...

So, now I have

- A Surf Garchomp which has to solo the 7th gym
- A Shinx without restrictions, but it has to die at Spear Pillar. Then it's replaced with a MEP which can only battle trainers or Pokés at Iron Island. Does mono electric also mean I can't use Normal support moves (Attract, for example)?

Okay fine. I'll think of something else and edit this post later.

EDIT: You get a Budew called "Cr8ivity". This Budew aspires to become an artist (or however those French people pronounce it), and is inspired by colour. Therefore, its moves must correspond to the colour on its body. As a Budew, that's Green, Red and Blue. So it must learn Grass, Fire and Water attacks. It must know these move types to evolve to Roselia (yes this is possible).

If she faints, then she knows she won't wake up again, and you must go on without her. She will be equipped with her beloved Choice Scarf, which after she dies must be put on another of your pokemon.

So, now I have

- A Shinx without restrictions, but it has to die at Spear Pillar. Then it's replaced with a MEP which can only battle trainers or Pokés at Iron Island. Does mono electric also mean I can't use Normal support moves (Attract, for example)?

It can learn whateer moves you want it to, but in battle, it may only use Electric type moves. No other type moves of any sort are to be used in battle.

I give you KrowMasta the Murkrow. This guy is just cocky. He really thinks he's the best murkrow ever and therefore he thinks he doesn't need to evolve. You're his trainer so you'll accept his choice. He also thinks he doesn't even need to fly to be the best and he won't even flap his wings so no flying-type moves. However, on the battle against Byron, KrowMasta realizes he couldn't even scratch his opponents and therefore he needs to rest and rethink his lifestyle. After you win the 7th badge he realizes he's ready to battle again and he'll do the best he can to help his trainer except changing who he is.

Recap:

Catch a Murkrow and call it KrowMasta
It can NEVER evolve
Untill Byron it can't have flying-type moves
It has to battle Byron and faint
You have to deposit it after Byron and only use it after Candice without any restrictions except the evolution one

zdrup, I give you Bruce, the disabled Hitmonlee. After a horrible fight, Bruce got paralyzed (even though he has Limber, but that shouldn't matter), and lost the ability to use his arms and legs. Therefor he can only use Special attacks, or other support moves.
Bruce can only be cured in one way, and that way is to solo Lucian of the Elite Four. Being the psychic she is, Lucian will then cure the paralysis, after which Hitmonlee is free to move again.

Summary:
- Get a Hitmonlee, and call it Bruce.
- Only use Special attacks, for he can't use his arms and legs.
- He can only move again after soloing Lucian.

Btw, I just realized I can also play Platinum. Maybe that opens up things for a bit.

Navel, take Turtwig as your starter. Its shell is really goddamn heavy, so SR for a Relaxed nature. It can't learn any moves with a BP of 100 or higher because of how chillin' it is.

Yo zdrup, I'm in class now as soon as I get out I'll edit my pokemon into this post. I need to Check this thread more often, I've missed so many scrambles, it's kinda sad. :( I'll also give navel a pokemon if his party isn't full by the time I get done (long classes are long).
Also, MEP is the best inside joke ever.

Edit: ok zdrup, lets do this (since i have never played a gen 4 game, tell me if any of this is imposible and i'll change it around). Your pokemon will be a houndour, named "Hunter". All its life, all its wanted to is hunt for stuff like a true hunting dog. The object of its desires seems to, for some reason, be Star pieces. well, one of the places one you can find star pieces is Turnback Cave. As its mind is focused only on star pieces, it will only be able to level up in turn back cave. it has no time for silly stuff like tms and hms, so it can only learn level up moves. Also, its wary of other pokemon trying to steal its star pieces, so it will only let you go to tunrback cave if it is the only pokemon in your party. After finding 8 star pieces, it will finally think it has found enough, and you can use him outside of tunrnback cave. However, this obsession for star pieces combined with the haunting Turnback Cave has twisted poor Hunter's soul. After finding the 8th star piece it may never learn another move again, with one exception. The exception is after finding the 8th star piece, you must trade in all 8 of them for yellow shards at valley windworks. Then you must use all eight yellow shards to teach Hunter spite from the move tutor. The move you replace with spite is your choice, but after doing this, this is Hunter's final moveset. Hunter, the twisted pychopathic dog, now wants revenge on the world. It is determined that in the elite 4, through the sheer force of its hate, it must kill another pokemon (it must make an E4 pokemon struggle to death, using spite).

Recap time:
-catch a houndour named Hunter
-it can only learn level up moves
-it may only be leveled up by soloing turnback cave
-upon finding 8 star pieces from turnback cave it my learn no more moves....
-except for spite, which you will teach it using the move tutor
-after finding the 8th star piece level up restrictions are gone
-it must SOLO an e4 pokemon by making it struggle to death

I hope this is all doable, because i put a lot of thought into this one. If need be make this one of your post league pokemon, i dont know when turnback cave becomes accessable in platinum.

Navel, catch a Ponyta. This Ponyta is not an admirer of the fast lifestyle, so SR until you get one with a minus Speed nature. It can also never learn Agility. It can only evolve after it solos 5 gym leader pokemon.

Navel, if you still have a spot, you get the Riolu you receive from Riley. It must be Lucario before your battle with Dialga. Once it evolves, it becomes an Odd/Even Lucario! If it's an Odd level, it can only fight wild Pokemon (unless you have no other choice). If it's an Even level, it can only fight in a trainer battle (if it is your only Pokemon and you fight a wild Pokemon, you must run away). If it levels up during a trainer battle, you must immediately withdraw it from combat if possible. You cannot use an Exp.Share on it.

Bumping this

Recap:
Ghastly Gastly must solo ten Galactic Grunts plus one Galactic Admin (not necessarily the first).
Haunting Haunter must solo one Pokemon from every Gym, plus the entire first Cyrus battle
Gengar the Gengar must not have the BPs of its moves exceed 200. Hidden Power counts as 50.

zdrup: Take an Onix named Puff.

This Onix lives by the sea, so it has to solo one of the water gym leader's Pokemon.
It frolicks in the autumn mist, so you aren't allowed to use Defog on any of the routes.

Post E4:

- He can only move again after soloing Lucian.

I still need 3 pokes POST E4 for a Platinum Scramble. I want creativity above toughness.

bulbapedia lists the levels for turnback cave as not nearly as high in platinum.

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Turnback_Cave

I also know you can catch houndour at lv 28 at Valor Lakefront. Additonaly, houndour has a type advantage over almost all of turnback cave (i put a lot of thought into the choice of pokemon). However, having not played platinum, if it is indeed impossible, you may level it up using exp share until it you think soloing turnback cave is possible

EDIT: if you want to talk about this more directly i am on pokelab atm and will be on until around 2 PM EST.

Listed levels are for Pokémon encountered before the first pillar. Levels of Pokémon encountered increase by 10 for every pillar that has been passed.

So that would mean lv 45 bronzongs would pop up on the second pillar.

Yeah, I think with exp. share this is doable. I will also assume Hunter can evolve at any time.

It can. Have fun! I really put a lot of thought into that one

@zdrup: Take a Mime Jr. This particular Mime Jr. has grown up with no identity! As such, in its quest to find a role model, it must learn Skill Swap and use it on every Pokemon in your party in order to evolve. (You may not switch your party while completing this requirement.) Once it evolves, it realizes that emulating others is fun! Mr. Mime now decides that it wants to be like all your other Pokemon, meaning it can only learn moves that at least one of your other Pokemon knows. However, it must still keep Skill Swap. It may only forget Skill Swap if it soloes a Pokemon of a higher level than it (only as a Mr. Mime). You may then replace Skill Swap with a move that another of your Pokemon knows. Name it Mr. Mime if male and Mrs. Mime if female.

When I asked for post E4 pokemons I was thinking about non-Sinnoh pokedex pokes.

@zdrup15: Sorry. In that case, take a Paras. It must be female. This Paras is spoiled rotten and feels that it needs extra attention. As such, every time it faints, you must revive it ASAP, either via Revive or PC. It must learn and keep both Spore and Attract forever to help it get out of prison after DUIs. There are no evolution requirements, but upon evolving she inherits a hotel chain and bucketloads of money. At that point, every item you buy must have the potential to be used on her. Name her ParasHiltn. If you are fortunate enough to get a Modest Paras, she has no superiority complex and no requirements whatsoever.

New Scramble

Seeing as I never really got to start my first Scramble Challenge, I figured I should do another one :)

Pokemon Diamond Scramble.
No Nature Restrictions please. Anything else is fine. I think I'm going to regret this...
