I know doubles are a good thing. They might not be for a guy, who hits his home runs to left field and is also a home run hitter. I don't know, would Pujols want all his production to come from doubles even though he has better potential than all doubles?
So how exactly is that going to harm the offense's production if Gonzalez doesn't like doubles? And you do know that he hit in PETCO PARK, right? And you do know the relevance of this, right?
-They lost a huge chunk of their killer bullpen, especially where it counts (closers)
No. Wrong. Closers are not the most important bullpen pieces. Read this:*

Oh, and, check this out:
Joel Perralta in 2010: 3.64 xFIP
Rafael Soriano in 2010: 3.84 xFIP
So, essentially, the Rays replaced the most expensive reliever this off season with a 950K investment. People really need to understand that relievers are essentially worthless on their own and are the most overrated players in the game. They pitch seventy innings a year for goodness sakes.*
They've restocked their bullpen just fine. I
am going to admit it's gotten worse, but the effects are almost insubstantial.*
-They lost CC, who's gonna replace him?
Damon, who's a reliable regular. It's a big drop off in terms of ability, sure, but losing one player isn't going to cripple you. Five or so wins, at most.*
-They lost a ss, probably not that bad
Bartlett sucked in 2010. Replacing him with Brignac might actually help the team.*
-They lost Pena, an all or nothing hitter who's great on defense
The Rays won 97 games with Pena hitting .196/.325/.407. Ha. Like they'll miss him.*
