Yeah it's possible to RNG Zorua in Castelia City. I think it would be consider the same as RNGing the egg from the Daycare man. I'm really not sure, but it's good if someone else can point this out.
 
Thanks. Also, this is the second time I've not gotten within 999 delay of the target. Does the adjacent finder only work on frames 10 and under?

Correct. It only generates the first 10 frames of each seed, so if you advance the frame very much, you won't find it.
 
Is it possible to get shiny pokemon with C-Gear seeds, or is that only possible with Non C-Gear seeds? And if it is possible, is there anything that has to be done differently?

Shininess is determined from the PID RNG. It doesn't get reseeded as far as I understand it. It can be abused for when beta 3 comes out.
 
Oh, I see. And the PID RNG is advanced by a lot when the C-Gear is turned on, so it's to hard to control. Ok, thanks!
 
What if your target frame *is* a 5? Just went yet another round with "No matches found" at 999 delay, 9 seconds above and below. Seed: 260F0C90

So there are no set encounter slots for specific species like in Gen4 anymore? Or is this connected to the dissociation of natures with IVs?
And though natures are no longer connected to the IVs, is the shininess of the wild-caught Pokemon still connected with the IV spread I find?

Sorry again for the noobish questions, just trying to get my bearings with everything by comparing the differences between Gen4 and Gen5. It's been so long since I've RNGed in Gen4 anyways so I'm probably mixing everything up anyways. =w=; Thanks in advance (:

What's your date and time? Are you setting the timer to one minute before target and do you have the timer set to Gen 5 C-Gear mode with a -95 calibration?
 
It's -95? Oh, I thought it was -45 if you had a DSi. Thanks for the heads-up; that was probably what was screwing me up. I'll edit this post if I end up hitting the delay or coming close :)

I don't know if it's different for DSi or not, but you should have still hit SOMETHING if your search was -/+ 999.

And -95 is just the recommended starting point.

Are you setting your time to 1 minute before target and hitting yes on the C-Gear after you enter the game?
 
Use a starting calibrated delay of 0 and from there update with the delay you obtained so you can obtain a real calibrated delay or approximated
 
-95 worked for me :) I was about 54 off of the target, but I'm sure I can compensate tomorrow, in similar ways to Gen IV. Thanks for the help!!
 
What are you guys pressing exactly on the first and second timer? I'm hitting continue and YES on the cgear respectively, but I don't get any matches so far.

Also, how are you guys checking IVs with Reshiram? I can't see the nature and metalkid's calculator sometimes gives me ranges so its quite dubious to me.

Don't start your C-gear from the continue screen. Actually go all the way into the game (past the screen where it shows the season), before you turn on your C-Gear.
