5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

I think this is the most difficult thing I've tried to RNG. Even worse than when I did my roamer.

Came out female on so many different seeds. On the seed that wound up being successful there wound up being like sixteen Timid PIDs in a row. Finding the initial was a chore in a half. I'm quite happy now, though.

You were doing an Entree Forest RNG?

In RNG Reporter, when I click the "White Encounter Slots" option in the menu, it automatically opens Internet Explorer on my computer, which has been blacklisted by my operating system due to security flaws and such. Is there a link to those encounter slot options somewhere on the website instead of directly from the program?

Do the MTIVRNG and PIDRNG follow the same formula and therefore begin at the same frame? And do synchronzers affect the outcome of the target pokemon when it already has a given nature listed in RNG reporter?

MTIVRNG starts at 1 for all captures except Gifts/eggs which start at 8. Some frames are syncable and will change to your synchronizer's nature

But with Terrakion the PIDRNG would start at 1, meaning I'd need to switch between Chatots 96 times to get to PID frame 97, where it's supposed to be shiny, right?

The PIDRNG never starts at once. It starts somewhere before 40-60 typically. You need to capture with frame advancements to determine your starting PID frame. Watch the bearsfan videos if you haven't already. He shows how it is done rather well.

Ok, I am attempting to RNG for a Timid Thundurus, but I do not know how different
non C-gear abuse for roamers is different than regular Pokemon. Can someone guide me through it?
My seed is 9D670E3495CDDB25, I start at 21:07:19 (need to subtract 1 second) while pressing Start+R+L, and my Timer0 is C7F.
And also, would using a Timid Synchroniser make it easier or harder to RNG?

Synchronizers won't work with roaming Pokemon.
You generated that seed in the Time Finder using Encounter Type: Roaming Pokemon, right? It's best to save inside the house after talking to the old lady, do your IV frame advancements inside with the right number of Pokemon in your party, and then step out to encounter it. Have you manipulated PIDs for the natures you've wanted before?

I have been getting ready to RNG Thundurus and in doing so have read pretty much half of the posts in this thread. I think I have most of it down including the PID%6 technique which I am going to find VERY useful.

The only question I have left is about how the weather advances the PID and the timing on when the advancement stops. I know what rain and snow do. However in my game, the date that my seed comes on has hail. Is hail treated as rain, snow, or is it entirely different from both?
I didn't see anything related to PID advancement as it relates to hail when I was browsing the this thread. Does anyone know the answer to this?

Also, does the PID advancement stop when the roamer swoops down in front of you and does its cry or does it stop after the roamer flies away and the storm that it creates stops? I just need to get the timing down in order to have a better chance at success here.

Mash the whole event, and do your chatot calls inside. Then confirm what frame you hit.

The rain is the only thing that advances it significantly (I think NPCs are frozen so you don't have to worry about them). There's a light rain that does less advancement to to RNG, but mashing is preferable.

Answer's painfully obvious. How do you adjust for seconds with a timer?

Well, I did, my target is 35, and I hit 36 the first time. So I set my timer target seconds to 34, and then I didn't even hit an adjacent, but I'll try again, thanks :)

So I can IV rng breed and capture consistently now but I want to add some shiny to my collection. However even using just 3x 31 rng with flawless parents I can only find two shiny framesin the 2000 or 5000 range.

Even with 2 chatots I'm not going to chatter into the thousands. Am I missing a trick here as I'd like to get my own bred.

Alright, I'm thinkin' 'bout goin' with the same seed I used for Vicitini with Zoroark (seein' how HP Ice is best for it), is the process the exact same with Vicitini? I'm sure I have to have Repel in linger, correct?

When the character automatically walks (when the event activates), do those count towards my 128 steps? Also, the patch of tall grasses won't advance the frame and mess up my steps, correct?

I have one question, and it might be repeated, as since the wi-fi purging accident, I'm completely lost on this thread and have no idea of the page where I stopped reading:

Is it already possible to find your DS Parameters if you use an Acekard 2? My cousin and his girlfriend both use this flashcard, and I've wanted to teach them, but couldn't find their parameters even after a few tries and widening the ranges. I'm able to Standard abuse on my retail game, and on my wife's game, is there a trick to find the DS Parameters on Acekard 2 (using latest AKAIO and clean Pokemon Roms)?

Try changing your default browser? I just opened it and it opened in Firefox. That or you can try opening firefox and then clicking that link.
