So just as member Oberon did last year, I thought it would be a good idea to remake the thread again.

We got as good as we are because of hard work, sweat, crying, destroyed Pokemon, and our awesome friends of the vgc community to tweak and increase are ability to be the very best pokemon pro's. 2) Some of us are going to be having a hiatus until next season. Or for some of us, our activity will be lowered.

*I would like to thank all of the online community for making my summer the most exciting summer yet! Between ducks, skarmblissers, and chodes you all made regionals+nationals+worlds so much FUN.
*I'd like to thank fellow roommates TTS, TDS, BLUECOOKIES, SKARM, DUBS, and RYUZAKI. You guys are great roommates!!! Between stadium 2 mini games+quizes it was all fun and laughs (and also great nats+worlds training lol). We also learned that no matter the question, the answer was always Magmar haha.
*Big congrats to team senior members for all their hard training and being the best that they could be. I know we didn't get to hang out at nats but we made up for it at worlds. You guys are a great group of people and I can't wait to hang out with you all next year!
*Even bigger congrats to Cybertron for repping and going from 17th last year to 1st and 1st (and then back to 17 lolol)!!!. We may have had our ups and downs but in the end we got that all behind us. ily :)
*Congrats to Jeremy. With all of our hard training (consisting of mostly hax lol), you were able to dominate lcq and rep team u.s.a at worlds (sorry drake lol)!
*Thanks to TTS for the drive down to DC regionals (you were a great driver and an even greater driver when we got lost and had to do figure 8s with your iphone lol)
*Thank you to Andrea+Jeremy+CO for helping me with mons. I'm always last minute with my team so I appreciate you guys making my mons :)
*Thanks to Huy+Paul. I had fun hanging out with you at nats and worlds (lol @ retail line) and can't wait to hang out next year! Also IN N OUT+Taco Smackdown were the best. I hope they come east side some day :)

*Thanks to Bluecookies!!! Between out multiple fail meetups for winter (that never happened, stupid blizzard+sick hax) we finally achieved the meetup (in the summer lol). And now the CONGRATS ON THE 2 TIME ACHIEVEMENT MSANKEY!! I think gec+paul+I rocked our socks off with our chants during the finals lol. Can't wait for the winter meetup!

*Last but not least thank you bonta-kun. You didn't get a chance to play the entire season but you still offered practice battles whenever you were free.

I'm sure there are MANY MORE people I'm forgetting but you all know I thank you for making this season the best and can't wait to see you all next year (or maybe in November when this whole regional vg thing shapes up lolol)

This year was awesome. It was my first year on the VGC scene, and I'm excited that I got as far as I did.

People I'd like to thank:
• Charzaro: we've known each other since we were three and have played pokemon almost as long! Thanks for eving everything and thank you for predicting the future! See you soon xd

• Muffinhead: Great dude, great practice partner, great sc2 player (CARRIER HAS ARRIVED), great friend :D Thanks for rnging half of my vgc team! bs vanilluxe hax but i am so super sure I will see you next year :D

• Cassie: Thank you for rnging a lot of my top secret super jawesome pokemon x3! Also thank you for rnging my sister's team. She wouldn't have gotten to the next day without you! I'm triple sad the plans for worlds fell through but I know that you're doing your best to go to Hawaii next year.

• Solace: We train in the mountains and we didn't really train in the mountains again and we really should have but bs london hax! Congrats on mods :O We also had super fun texting parties and we defeated lance and gary oak and won the heart of the kid with the pikachu gameboy! (pretty sure hes sexist)

• Cybertron: You are my pokepal :D :D :D :D We are both named aaron and this year, the name "aaron" struck fear in the hearts of seniors everywhere. Pretty sure it was because of the fearsome power of Aaron Cotton, but whatever. Hanging with you was probably the best moments of my vgc experience. p.s Your brother is super duper cutie xd p.p.s worlds sucks lets just hang out in hawaii. bs matchup hax x(

• Babbytron: is the cutest. My biggest fan :D I'm his biggest fan too :D hes winning juniors next year so WATCH OUT COMPETITION.

• Snake: also super cute but he is a senior D: D: D: oh noooooo. It was really fun hanging out with him at nats and then worlds. I know he is making it back so why even bother worrying! We had a super good time getting patrats to bring to brendan for good luck.

• Kingofkongs: Sorry to hax you out every step of the way x((( we had good times at nats and worlds... when i didnt have to kick you every five minutes. You're gonna take the socal regional this year, i know it :O :O :O

• AlphaOmega: BS HAX :( you are a GREAT mario kart player!!! ! We did have fun and I'm so glad I didnt have to play you again at worlds because you would have wiped the floor with me. norcal winner next year!

• Human: jew friend :D Thanks for helping me with my team in the early stages and thank you for the funky Landorus ev spread even though I didnt use it ever ever !!! You did really well and you are definitely a captain of the industry. You were a great pal all weekend nats and worlds. You finally got that three dee es! :D

• Huy: Thanks for training me! I couldn't have done it without you. sorry I couldnt make it to the beach or taco smackdown with you guys but i will TRY NEXT YEAR !!! Thank you also for chaperoning our group and reminding us to keep our hands above the waist at all times.

I'm not going to do individual thank yous because I'm sure I would forget someone, but I would like to thank every person that I met/hung out with at the VGCs this year. I had an awesome time at Nats and Worlds and I can't wait for next year! These events are some of the best times of my life and it's all thanks to the people who make it possible (which includes both players and staff) =)

Except mingot. He's the best ever.
 
Okay guess I'll try this.

EnFuego: Don't know what to say, an awesome guy overall. At every event he kept on motivating me. Has a great attitude, was great chilling with you at Worlds man. As a player he is also great, sucks how he never had any luck at regionals because he is one of the best, without him I know I couldn't have done nearly as well as I ended up doing.

BlueCookies: Awesome person, great chilling with you a bit at Regionals and Worlds. You're amazing in Pokestadium 2, thanks for the advice that its always Magmar. As a player amazing you got a repeat at Worlds, on Pokemon Online I didn't get to play against you much but a few days before Worlds you helped me change my team a bit so thanks a lot for that, it definitely payed off for me.

Cybertron: Chilled with you at Regionals, Nationals and Worlds. Great guy, too bad he lost worlds and the girl, but what can you do. As a player, he won Regionals and Nats and we had a game that shows exactly what VGC 2011 was all about R1 at Nats.

Hitmonrocker: One of the nicest people I've met. Mad at how we played T16 at Nationals, one of the low points for me when I knew we were playing against each other again. Congrats on getting 2nd at DC though and looking forward to seeing you next time my brother has a soccer game somewhat close to you.

Solace: Guy, girl, same difference. Was funny how you deceived us for so long but nice meeting you, no matter how briefly it was, at the Newark regional. Sucks how you didn't get to go to Nats or Worlds, but what can you do. Great talking to you online for the most part, looking forward to seeing you next year maybe before.

Supewolfe/Wolfey/Wolfe: A great guy, first year at VGC for him and he won Regionals and Nationals and got T8 at Worlds. Glad I got to help him and he's a great guy. You should probably thank your nutritionist friend because without him this VGC season could have went down differently for you. Still you're an amazing guy, looking forward to seeing you soon.

Unreality: Awesome guy, chilled at Nats and Worlds a lot with him. Don't know what I can really say about him, just get to know him. Glad to have helped you a bit with your team even if you didn't take all of my advice you nob.

Maski: The girl of team seniors, I feel bad for you sometimes because of kingofkongs, but you handle that creep so well. Was great to meet you at Nationals and Worlds, sorry you got haxed out at Nationals T16 and at Worlds LCQ, you deserved to make it, but what can you do.

WaterPokemonTrainer and HagridTwin: David Arnold and Glenn Arnold, also some of the nicest people. Didn't get to hang out with you much other than at DC, great meeting you there though. Your family is so nice and it was great seeing all of you.

Kinderpimp: I don't know whether or not you are on Smogon but awesome meeting you. He is just an awesome guy, KINDERGANG OR DIE. Sorry for the kinder looking horrible, but I told you I'm getting you some at Worlds, glad it still tasted good though. You helped Ray win Worlds, just look at the nickname, just amazing man. Really looking forward to seeing you again, hopefully your XC coach isn't going to be an asshole anymore after stealing a world championship from you.

Tyleryere: The man of the yere. Great meeting you. Don't have much to say but why would you hurt animals in our battle in the VGC 2011 Smogon Tournament Finals.

Ryuazki: One of the VGC GIRLS. Made the Skarmbliss VGC Server. Too bad she'll never be great at Pokemon unless she gets a sex change.

TTS: With no play testing he got 2nd at nationals, he RNGd his team at work. Really nice, but he bought my hat off of Ray for $20 though and I don't get any of the money or the hat back.

Amarillo Caballero: Thought you were messing with me when you said I was against Cybertron first round at Nats. Freaked out a bit then was convinced you were just joking, seemed too unlikely, but it happened. You're an honest nice guy and unlike drcossack you were able to go to Nats.

ABC: Sorry for not getting you a Stunfisk with Earth Power for nats, but you made the best of it with Fissure on the TV! That was ballsy and it paid off. Great job and nice meeting you at Nats.

AlphaOmega: Played against him at Worlds beat him in two games. I'm better than him get over it you noobs. Well jokes aside, he's a great guy wish him luck next year, didn't hang out with him enough.

Kingofkongs: You creep stop finding pictures of fat people, hitting on girls only online, stalking Maski and lying to me. Got me to read some messed up fanfic he found and said he buys a meal if I do that, lied to me didn't get me a meal. Cheated me out of that.

Huy Duy Makiri OmegaDonut: All great ballers. Huy is the greatest chaperon ever. Duy taught me how to talk to people in norcal. Makiri is a cool dude, would have gotten my dad the same team you used in LCQ, it was so powerful man. OmegaDonut, made the RNG reporter, thanks for that caring about all of us and you did pretty good at Worlds.

PBB: Cool dude, only met you at worlds and wasn't around you too much.

DukeTheDevil Imperfectspider: kindergang ice was strong, so were the csmugs. Nice meeting both of you guys at DC Nats and Worlds. Looking forward to seeing all of you again.

Muffinhead: Thanks for letting me join you guys on IRC. Great channel. You're as tall as dtrain somehow which is amazing, glad to have met you at DC regional and wish you luck next year.

cosmicexplorer: Man nice talking to you before, you left half way through the season, but was great talking to you when I was able to. Awesome dude and absolutely spectacular 1k.

Alaka: Didn't have the greatest VGC season, failed at winning Atlanta and his plan of getting as much as possible out of TPCi. But he hosted a great Smogon VGC tournament, is a cool dude with a lot of money from selling stuff and beating Deagle in the LCQ.

Kid Kadabra: I kicked his ass when we wrestled at Nats, he only went for cheap shots and won round 2 like that. Didn't wrestle at worlds because we couldn't find the time but we know I would have won anyways. But really, he's an awesome dude, sucks he didn't qualify to worlds from the LCQ he deserved to get through because I helped him.

TheCalmSnivy: Barely hanged out with him because I only saw him at worlds, and I was busy hanging out with everyone else, glad that he qualified from the LCQ though and got FREE STUFF. Nice meeting you at worlds though.

Mosquitox216: Nice meeting you at Nationals Newark and Worlds. You're nice, annoys me how you haxed kingofkongs to end up getting top 8 at Nats, but that's basically most of the metagame. You're a good guy though.

Codios: Pretty nice, and is a good guy, didn't hang out with you much to tell you the truth so can't say too much. Congrats on doing as well as you did.

CRITICO!: Glad you did well with the help I gave you. Really nice guy, keeps on asking JRank for pokemon though. Good luck next year and still really nice to meet you man.

JRank: This just wasn't your year. But you're an awesome guy. Great meeting you at Nats too bad they ditched you.

Snake: Amazing little kid. Sucks you got haxed out of T8 at Worlds you had it boy. One of my favorite people and glad that he is just awesome and did so well at Regionals and Nationals. Don't know why he's so short though.

gec: Only person to pronounce my last name somewhat correctly. Shachar not Shachal, but I'm pretty sure everyone did a better job at that than TPCi. An awesome british guy.

Dozz: Has the greatest british accent I've heard. Done with this guy he's too cool already.

Zog: At least you didn't lose to a choice item team. You're not british though I don't know what you are exactly. But you're still an awesome guy and it was nice to meet you at Worlds.

RUBEN: HOLA MI AMIGO. He is an awesome person, a bit crazy but he's very exciting to be around. Just has an infectious personality that makes you happy when you're around him.

Albert: The sane guy from Spain. Helped me understand what Ruben was saying, both are great people and I'm really looking forward to meeting them again.

All the Europeans: I think I only didn't mention Alexis and Matteo, both are great people. All of you are awesome, I couldn't understand what you were saying some of the time but after that it was really fun to be around you guys. Oh yeah also forgot bharmalm, he has a fun name to say like Min Datooooooooo, and 7014gree, you're really nice just got a bit mad after he lost but that is 100% acceptable so was I.

Picklesword: You guys might not remember him but he was on in the beginning of the VGC season on PO. Was a nice and helpful guy. Can't say too much about him he left really early in the VGC season.

Ninahaza: So awesome of a guy. Loved how he came to Nats with a suit. But he really is just great and glad to have met him.

Destinybond: Cool guy, founder of team shalom. Glad I got to meet him at Nats sucks how he didn't qualify. his friend is also nice. Didn't get to chill around you two much so I can't say much about either of you.

DeagleBeagle: You have no idea how much you helped me this year with VGC. I did so much better than I ever could have without your help. You gave me some ideas for Worlds that worked really well. Sucks how you didn't qualify through the lcq but what can you do. Thank you so much for the help, I really appreciate it. No clue why you get a lot of hate, I don't think you deserve it, but what can you do, you're a pretty good guy in my opinion.

Metabou: Thanks for getting me a braviary for the side events when you thought it was for my actual team for Nats. But you helped a lot when it mattered with Thundurus right before Worlds actually started for example. You are also a really nice guy.

Dubs: Nice seeing you again, never really hanged out with you though.

Andrea and Chad: Really wasn't your year when it came down to it competitively, but you two were able to go to DC Newark Nats and Worlds so I got to see you two every step of the way. Nice people, and wish them luck. Looking forward to seeing them again next year.

Jibaku: Nice seeing you, sucks how you didn't get to go to Nationals even though you got the T4 money from DC regionals.

dtrain: Super tall and I heard you sell plushies for a better deal than Ray. Nice to see you again, hopefully I can go to a Smogon meetup at New York and see you there along with everyone else in that area.

TDS: So nice talking to you this VGC season, glad you were able to make it to Nats by being papazheng to get your own trip to San Diego haha. Congrats man.

CO: Somehow didn't see you at DC, sucks that you missed out on seniors division by less than a month, would have liked to meet you. Your dad is awesome too bad he didn't come to worlds and bring you along. Thanks for helping everyone other than me, I wanted to RNG my own pokemon anyways so didn't ask for help. You did provide entertainment on IRC with /me slap kingofkongs and a lot of other things so I guess thanks for that.

This is the give thanks thread, not the "whine about how you weren't listed" thread. If you seriously think you should've been considered, send the person a VM or PM. It's hard to remember every single person you've met and a reason why, so cut everyone some slack.

I had an awesome time hanging out with Human, Unreality, Mosquitox, Maski, Solace., Kid Kadabra, iss, Kok, Hitmonrocker, Lucian Lachance and the rest of team seniors at nats! Half of you don't even remember me, but I had a great time, and I can't wait for next year!

I'm not going to go into specifics and risk missing someone out as the usual worry is. But with my deepest gratitude, I'd like to thank everyone I met for the first time irl at Worlds. I've spoken to all of you online for a good 1-2 years and you graciously accepted me into your ranks (especially the Ducks). I was nervous about meeting everyone altogether but I was made to feel right at home, so thank you for that.

Ducks - Honestly, each and every one of you are amazing. Talking and hanging out with you guys made me feel like I knew all of you for a really long time and it felt very natural. Thank you for making my Worlds experience so grand!
Seniors - So I'm not going to lie, I went into Worlds kind of bitter with the seniors division for reasons people probably know but between people like Zheng, Unreality, Jewman, Maski, Gree, and most of the others I love all of you. They're just like the masters, great fun and really good to hang out with.
TPCI - Thanks for giving me twash's room!!!!! But really it must be one heck of a logistical nightmare to organise a Pokemon competition of this scale and size, so mad props to you. Also, seeing Nick McCord MCing irl is just too good for words.
Team UK - Halfway through worlds I decided to make Team UK encompass all of the Europeans too to share their glory as you do but Dozz/Porkloin are too funny and cool and Zog is just scottish and likes ruining peoples teeth with his stupid wham bars.
In-n-Out crew - Tyler who was a great driver (thanks for all the free lifts!!), Zheng and Simon Yip along with me formed the best car crew ever. Certainly great fun to hang with.
Snake & Babbytron - There was a time when I thought I was the cutest but then I met these two and I was crushed at how much cuter than me they were.
RAY RIZZO - If you met this guy you wouldn't be able to tell he's a 2 time world champ. No, he doesn't suck but he is incredibly humble, friendly and nice to everyone. This is definitely the kind of guy we want to be our world champion and seriously, well done on doing it...twice.
People who never got to come - CO, Jesus, Jibaku, Skarm etc etc I was really looking forward to meeting you all too but unfortunately, that's life. Hopefully we can all chill next year :)
Bharmalm - If someone asked me to sum up Worlds 11 in one word it would be BHARMLAMLMRLMALMMRLMLMAMLMRMLAMMLRMMAMLRMLRMLMAMRLRMLRMALMRALMRALMARMRALMRLR

As my first year attending the VGC, I couldn't have had a fun experience without the help of a couple of people. In no particular order:

ABC: For EV training everything in my team (Except for Tornadus), and being an awesome guy in general. Shame that you're considering on not showing up at all next year ;_;

muffinhead: Supplying me with a Jellicent. Also for conveniently appearing in the line after I looked all over. And for being awesome. Except for the fact that you're too tall. >:(.

cosmicexplorer: Tutoring me for 4 hours straight on the day before the regional, and also for appearing in person!

CO: You left early ;__;. Thanks for the icebreaker though - I was too scared to approach people AND MOOF/DANNY WERE TOO TALL.

evan: For helping me out on the team on the day before and for being the first guy I met. And for encouraging me to beat Synre.

IPS: For helping me feel comfortable during the nervewrecking registration line-and then stealing what would've been my 3DS. Jk, congrats!

Cocy/Elmo: See above, minus the 3ds part.

Unreality / Synre / twash / JRank (who kindly nicknamed his entire team after me) / A few others: For added support on the day before. Appreciate it :D

Unreality - The better part of Team Aaron and an amazing person.
Human - An amazing player who can down a glass of lemonade in 15 seconds. Then gets stuck waiting for a napkin for five minutes.
Hitmonrocker - An awesome person who made Sunday night that much better.
JRank - Dallas represent! Everyone is sorry you couldn't do well this year but next year will definately be your year and we will dominate Dallas!
Superwolfe - I still regret not being able to get much of a chance to talk to you but you were still a super chill guy.
Maski - The only female Team Seniors member at Nationals and a super awesome person!
Amarillo - Without a doubt the nicest and most supportive person at Nationals and I didn't even know him! I really look forward to talking to you again.
ABC - Trolololololololololololololololololololololol. You champ, you deserved to win Nationals.
Kingofkongs - The humorous part of Team Seniors no doubt about it. The ultimate troll and the ultimate friend of Unreality.
Kid Kadabra - Amazing. Coolest and chillest person at Nationals so glad we could hang out.
Mosquitox - A very cool guy and I'm glad you had a great year! Hope to see you next year!

I wish I could have met more of you. :( I'm glad my RNGs helped, it was fun doing projects for everyone :D I hope I get to see more of you next year! Okay so now on to the specifics.

Huy: Without you I'd have never gotten to know the Ducks. Thanks for helping me become less noob in VGC. ^_^

Unreality: Haha I can't believe we were ever on bad terms. x.x Without you I'd have never gotten into VGC. Team building with you + battling you helped me so much <3

muffinhead: Even though I didn't practice as much as I should have, you helped me out a lot with that by getting me to battle. xD Also it was great meeting you in DC :D Even though I left way too early :/

My first year in competitive Pokemon was a year to remeber, and I can't wait 'till next year, my thanks to are as follows (no particular order);

Bharmalm: Part of UK Team Seniors, an amazing friend who taught me so much in Pokemon, helped me make my teams, test my teams, and trololol people who deserved to be trolololed :D This guy cheered me on all the way, couldn't have done it without you dude :)

7014gree: Part of UK Team Seniors, Gree taught me VGC, what a team needs, what a team shud be able to deal with, a truely nice guy who mentored me and even gave me his team (sorry for nagging you to hell and then failing :D ) Gree taught me how to battle. (My crappy skills do not reflect the awesomness of gree fyi).

Plulse: Part of UK Team Seniors, the first Smogonite I met irl ( sorry for confusing you with DL13). Plulse and Bharmalm were the killer duo with me as the dimbwitted noob dragging behind, yet he never once was neegative or ignored me due to my top32 precision skills :) This guy is a friend, and I owe alot to him :D

Cassie (CO): RNGed me Pokemon for the VGC, ty again so much for helping me out :)

JRank: RNGed and Eved my team for the UK, ty so much dude, and I can see why you were pissed off for me not making worlds, as you hand eved my whole team last minute :)

Muffinhead: RNGed me Pokemon for thr VGC, ty again so much for helping mr out :)

DeagleBeagle: This guy took the time to sit down with a noob and explain about and put together a team with me, thanks dude :)

Havak: I somehow got your Terrakion, so um thanks I guess.

The US Seniors; Human, Cybertron, Unreality: Human was always on PO and it was always a pleasure to battle you :) Plus you taught me my first Hebrew word; Shalom :) Cybertron; an immensly safe guy who always was nice to me, and I hope to see you in the USA one day dude lol , If I ever get there :)
Lastly Unreality, again a pleasure to battle on PO, and I am truly sorry for thr damage caused to your Byciclr dude :( That car driver deserved worse :)

BlueCookies (aka, nm if you don't know who he is just gtfo); It only took him to reply "I'm sure you will" to my question of " Do you think I'm good enouggh for worlds" for me to just go full on at thr challlangr of getting there, that little bit of encourgement helped me alot, ty :)

The RNG developers; no rng= no pokempn, no pokemon = no vgc chance for me, so ty for all your hard work :)

Everyone who contributed to the VGC part of the community in any way shape or form; Wheter it was testing, writng guides, stratergies, updating forums/irc with VGC results and resources, or even streeming live video, nothingg is possible without thr community, and I am so glad that I joined Smogon now :)

Nyan Cat; If it wasn't for nyan cat i don't know how I woukd have survived the days spent just practicing on PO, your music helped me through some rough times dude :)

Edit; the people on PO who made me laugh when creating my US and UK list off different words used, we will never know what the American equaivalent on a British French Frie is, will we?

I was thinking about listing everyone individually, but it'd take me too long, and I'm really kinda lazy. Thanks to people who have mentioned me though, means a lot to know I actually had an impact, no matter how small on peoples Worlds '11.

In general I'd say thanks to everyone, from every community I met. I don't know which community I'd count as part of before or after Worlds, but noone seemed bothered, and was willing to chat and get along, even though I'd barely used the forum apart from the run in to Worlds. Everyone who helped me with my team, laughed at my jokes, or supported me in the slightest made my first proper season what is was for me. I'm already itching for next year.

Mad props to the staff though, I bet they have to deal with some real pains in the ass, and they're always looking pretty happy about it. They're also friendly about it, which makes a nice change.
 
Even though I didn't meet many people or talk to many of you, hopefully I will next year. I regret not being a part of team seniors at regionals , nats, and worlds. Also thanks to all the people who gave free pokemon and used their time to help the vgcers!

I LOVE EVERYONE. I have only been playing competitive for 6 months now. I was welcomed with open arms to the competitive community, and you all really are the best people I've ever met.

Thanks to everyone who used my mons at VGC. It makes me so happy to see my mons on the big screens. ^_^ All my time was not in vain! Un-thanks to everyone who does not mention me for taking time to RNG or trade for you. ;_;

Thanks to Chad for letting us go to DC, Newark, Indy, and San Diego. I loved travelling with you to so many memorable places and can't wait to travel next year. <3 <3

Special thanks to Tyler, skarm, and TTS for helping out with housing arrangements. Definitely would not have been able to go without your help. <3

Everyone else... well, if I wrote out what was special about each and every one of you, it would probably end up spoiling my warstory. Wait and see! Just know that you are all equally awesome and the best part about each event is being able to meet up with everyone and have a good time.
