5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

Thank you, I was wondering what the second part of his statement meant. What would be a good level to find it at? I figure if level 38-42 Pokemon from Victory Road always give only one result, the broader IV range of a level ~20 ish Pokemon shouldn't be too bad, shouldn't give too many results to be troublesome, right? Or will I need to capture at closer to 30 ish to find my seed? (I can't access Pokecheck after trying many times, yet I don't want to play all the way up to say level 30)

I've used Chargestone Cave to find my parameters so 25+ should be good. You could just trade the Pokemon to someone and have them check the IVs for you.

Is there anywhere where I can make a suggestion for something to be included in the next version of RNG Reporter? I'd like to suggest a feature that operates like the 5th Gen Shiny Egg tab, but is not exclusive to shinies. It would make it MUCH easier to find spreads when you don't have two flawless parents (the "genetic method" in Tesseraction's guide), since as it is, you have to generate the list of gift Pokémon on frame 8 with 3 of the IVs set to 31, then examine each resulting seed one-by-one looking for a spread (hopefully on a low frame) that has inheritance in the 3 other stats AND that the inheritance is suitable given the IVs of the parents (plus nature, ability, and gender).

I'd gladly write such a program myself, but I don't know how RNG Reporter gets the spreads it does when "Generate" is clicked.

Actually, what you can do is just use the Shiny egg finder, but don't put in your normal SID and ID. You may have to restart RNGreporter for it to work though.

Thanks, Biosci and UpsideDownHitmontop. The only problem with Biosci's method is that it basically limits you to 1/8192 of the possible results (if a result is non-shiny for the inputted ID/SID combo but is otherwise perfect, it won't be listed), so you may have to input a high max frame and/or try various ID/SID combos before you can get a single result.

One other thing I'd like to suggest is the ability to select multiple encounter slots as search parameters, since many Pokémon appear in more than 1 slot in a particular area.

I also see that there is an area in the development notes for subjects to research; I'd love to see the researching of PID generation of WonderCard Pokémon in 4th gen and the PID generation of Entralink Pokémon, but I realize those aren't pressing matters.

It doesn't take long to find a "shiny" egg seed (assuming decent parents). Usually takes me a few minutes at most and I use 3 keypresses, min=60, max=200 which I don't consider high. I've never had to try multiple ID/SID combos.

Ah, okay. I had keypresses set to 0. Generally one of my parents has all flawless IVs (or at least all that matter) and the other has none (just a random capture).

I'm probably blind, but I can't find list of strating frames for pokemon (eggs, gifts, roamers and so on). Could anyone help me with that? Thanks in advance

Using RNG Reporter right now 4/5th Gen Shiny Egg Tab. Put in my ID and SID along with checking the box for ditto parent and "show inheritence" along with the IV spread I want. I also have the min frame at 60 and the max at 300. The ditto is japanese so I am using the B/W International option. I don't know if the gender ratio box also needs to be modified as well so I left it default.

So far I have done this over several times and nothing is being generated. Any help? Thanks in advance!

How many keypresses do you have set?
What method is it set to?
What are your parent's IVs?
What's your desired baby's IVs?
Is Ditto the only international Pokemon? If so, it isn't international I believe. Both parents have to be different languages than the game that you're on.

Father: 31/31/31/31/31/31
Wanted IVs: 31/31/31/x/31/31

0 but I'll change it if it helps out.
B/W
31/31/31/31/31/31 (Ditto IV's)
31/31/31/31/31/31 (What i want the baby to have)
Ditto is the only international

Are you sure about that? I haven't had a problem with international breeding by using a japanese ditto and an italian poke on my italian cart :o

Really? :o I thought only one parent had to be from a different language game.

Ok, so I found a new roamer seed in the winter (Because for some odd reason, it rains in all the seasons for me even though it shouldn't in Summer or Autumn...).

88B15A9DC4BBA580
30/6/30/31/31/31 Frame 12
8/8/2015 17:57:27 B-Left-Down
Target PID: 1099

I'm trying to figure out my SSF atm. I hit my seed 3 times, and all 3 times I got a Rash, Mischievous Thundurus. So I looked at researcher and found 3 possibilities:

Frame 782
Frame 968
Frame 1102

I'm pretty sure it's not 1102, but which one of those is it most likely to be in the winter weather? I'll try doing 1 PID advancement and see what I get. But if anyone knows which one is more likely, please let me know :)

Edit: I got a Hardy Alert To Sounds this time... and the closest frame to 782 is 812 (Is it possible that one advancement lands you 30 frames after your SSF?). So my SSF is either 782 or 1102 or maybe even higher than 1102... I'm not sure how it's higher than 1102, since this is snow >.<

Well it never hurts to try so I put up to 3 keypresses. Though if I do need to press keys, when would i have to press them?

As soon as the game starts. Meaning, when you're at the main DS screen, and you click the game to start, you press them RIGHT THEN. Let go after the star crashes.

Since you haven't tried them yet.
Try 1 or 2 keypresses for a start. Get used to them, and try for 3 later.

According to the official BW RNG Guide on Smogon you can let them go here

I'm still attempting to RNG my Black TID/SID; I've played through and gotten my parameters, and now I'm trying to actually get it. I'm not sure I understand the function of Initial and Target frames in the context of getting the right TID/SID. I've been getting the same ID, and I've put it in and found my seed and what frames I *am* hitting (Initial 0, and then 32), but finding a time/TID/SID that do have frame 32 doesn't seem to give me the target TID. I'm quite confused; I don't even know if what I'm saying here makes sense. Can anyone help me with the frames part of this process? I think I've gotten everything else down.

ID seeds are kind of like hitting a PID frame, because you have a starting frame / initial frame and a target frame. The initial frame is your starting frame (And luckily with ID/SID abuse, there are no NPCs or anything to advance your initial frame) and the target frame is the frame that will get you your ID/SID.

You advance the "ID" frame by saying no to Juniper when she asks you about your name, not your gender. Each time you say no about your name, you advance the ID frame by 1. So basically, Target - Initial = ID frame advancements. Are you sure your initial frame is 0? That's a bit low.

I'm thinking about writing an ID/SID abuse guide for G5 since the guide on Smogon doesn't really go into detail (Did you read that guide?). I'm just not finding time :P

Anyways, I hope I helped!

Thanks! I don't remember how exactly I got the numbers 0 and 32; I think it was from putting the results in the Seed Finder part of Pandora's Box. Now, however, I can't even get any results when I do that, for some reason (Or the results are completely wrong, at the wrong second or with the wrong keypress for instance). Is that ordinarily how a person finds the initial frame?

So I took a break for a few hours and opened up RNG reporter again and still after doing everything Winter Zombie suggested, I am still not finding any seeds for Breeding RNG.
