Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I've not really looked in to much more than Elm tbh and I saw the Radio Seed in the first post, so went with that. It's worked for me, so I am OK with it :)

How does Irwin work though?

And say if I wanna abuse for Raikou in the champion room when I get there (which should be shortly/tomorrow) the radio seed is the best thing for this, yeah, better than the original roamer method?

Imo, Radio Seed is better than the Roamer method (But I was never taught the roamer method so Idk). I've always had problems with Roamers for some reason, but Radio Seed works great! I used it to RNG my Latios and it worked nicely ;)

Yeah I think I am gonna do that for both Raikou & Latios (although not sure why for her, I already have a Timid HP Fire one hmmm) me thinks :) While I'm at it, I might reset my SS so I can get me a Latias. Decisions!!
 
Sorry for the double post but can anyone answer me as to why the radio isn't working for me in the champions room? Like I am stood one step away from encountering Lance, and nothing.
 
But it's the most consistent way to RNG the roamers, apparently (see first post about Radio Seed). I think I may have found the problem though, it's not upgraded to work in the Kanto region...
 
Oh, that could be it. I was thinking of the Phone anyway. That's what doesn't work in the Champion's room. I guess they don't want you calling Elm for battling tips.

Yeah, upgrade it for Kanto and try again. Iirc you have to get the upgrade from the radio tower in Lavender Town.

Does the Trainer Profiles radio show consistently advance the frame by 3? I recall that one of the shows which advances the frame by 3 is inconsistent, and want to make sure I don't use that one.
 
According to the second post on the first page, both radio shows that advance by 3 are inconsistent. The only consistent show only advance by 1 (Pokemon Search Party and Serial Radio Drama). :<

Slow, but sure. Just stick to the consistent ones :]
And also avoid times with 2/5/8/11 am/pm, because they show only Buena's Password...and it never advances frames
 
What is known about cart abuse in RS? From original research I found when it's seeded and that it's affected by keypresses at startup, and I have found a good range of timer0 (timer1?) values to try and hit. I think I have enough, but seeing as I'm only going by my own research I want to know what other people have found.
 
I'm working on the Latios roamer at the Elite 4. I can't get the bottom right of the radio to do anything. At 14:58 it was blank. At 15:00 it was still blank. I made sure I got the card from bueno or whatever her name is, and then checked to see if it worked outside of the elite 4, and it did. I'm getting really annoyed with this, when I tried doing it in the house it hit right above and below the target frame. Now that's the only radio station that's not working and I have no idea why... Please tell me there's something I can do to fix this -.-

Hmmm...did you upgrade your radio?
I mean you have to complete that Power Plant Machine Part sidequest to use the radio back for RNGing.

Yeah, what Emily said. You might need to get the upgrade for the Kanto part. But, referring to the bold, did you get the one from the Radio Tower in Johto, or from the one in Kanto? You need to do the Power Plant thingy and then go to the Lavender Radio Tower.

But since you said it worked outside of the Elite 4... doesn't that mean you already got the upgrade? That's weird. .-.

If you did already get the upgrade, then I have no clue why it isn't working. If you didn't, go get the upgrade and try again.

Hello everyone at Smogon =) Ever wanted to download emloop so you can use it offline? An easy method can be found at http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-download-embedded-flash-swf-files-using-your-browser/ Hope this helps everyone =) Might I suggest this be added to the OP or the guide on using Emloop (post 7)? The emloop file was saved as 'emtimer[1].swf' for me. Note that you need to have the emloop page open to retrieve it.

P.S. .swf files can be opened with any browser; there's no need to install any additional software.

Why use Emloop when you can use the amazing EonTimer? :)

It works perfectly for me in HGSS and I imagine it would do the same for me in Pt (I'm planning to abuse my ID/SID in my Pt soon :P). I think it's easier to use than ZOMGtimer. ;)
