Media Yu-Gi-Oh discussion

Purgatory Dragon looks pretty awesome. It might give Infernities the boost they need to jump a tier. As for Slifer, fuck Slifer. http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/55773984/

The Creator God of Light, Horakhty. Summon it and you win. Period. End of story. Only downside is that you need to tribute Slifer, Obelisk, and Ra to summon it, and it looks like Phantom of Chaos will work in summoning it.

I'm still waiting for Dark Tour Bus. I really, really want to know what it does.

P.S: Chain Burn is awesome and, if it wasn't so easy to Side against (just use Royal Decree), I'd bet it would be more popular in tournaments.
Phantom won't work, Horakhty needs the printed name, Phantom's printed name is Phantom of Chaos, no matter what it removes. It's like Zombie World and Solidarity, if zombie world is on the field and you have, say, a warrior and a thunder type, solidarity will not work.

Gravity Warrior is actually deceptively good. Summon it by itself and it's a six star synchro with 2600 attack. If the enemy has even one monster, it suddenly has 3100 attack and can get over Judgment Dragon, Grapha, Hyperion, etc. It counters plant swarming, field control, Hero Beat, and lots of others. While not as good as Goyo Guardian, it comes pretty close.

Yeah, I fucked up my post and meant to put "won't work".

Laugh at my idiocy.

Lol inzector , how do you side against it ? they don't give a damn about debunk or fissure , actually some inzector decks main fissure ..

the only side deck options i can see working is the shadow mirror , and skill drain to a degree (sure it'll most likely hurt you) .

well the meta have a lot of broken decks , but at least it's much better than the last format "six sam player go first you lose" , dark world are nice and powerful , agents have that power to do explosive play just at the right time to win , plants are .. yeah they need the banhammer , i agree .

Prohibition would be your best bet. Calling Hornet hurts a majority of their plays.

Other than that, not much you can side against Inzektors other than the casual Dark Monster hate (Mirror, Consecrated). The Standard Veilers and Warnings would also work.

I think it's just Tengu and Tour Guide. Once those get limited (or semi-limited), then that will fix some issues right now.

Edit: Finally broke into the mid 5000s with my Chain Burn deck. My quest for #1 continues.

Holy hell I have not played this in like 7 years can someone give me a quick summary on what has changed?

Are blue eyes and exodia still bawse?

I'm looking forward to the two new Masked HEROs coming out: Daian and Acid. They seem really good and it might be worth running masked change in my HERO deck so I can utilize them

After bitching constantly about Inzektor decks and how they practically play Solitare until a good chunk of your field is wiped out, I decided to go and make one.

Monsters: 21
3 Armageddon Knight
1 Dark Armed Dragon
2 Genex Ally Birdman
3 Inzektor Centipede
3 Inzektor Dragonfly
3 Inzektor Giga-Mantis
3 Inzektor Hornet
1 Mystic Tomato
1 Sangan

Spells: 9
1 Allure of Darkness
1 Dark Hole
1 Foolish Burial
1 Heavy Storm
1 Monster Reborn
2 Mystical Space Typhoon
2 Pot of Duality

Traps: 10
2 Bottomless Trap Hole
2 Lair Wire
1 Mirror Force
1 Solemn Judgment
2 Solemn Warning
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Trap Dustshoot

Extra Deck
1 Ally of Justice Catastor
1 Black Rose Dragon
1 Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
1 Gaia Knight, the Force of Earth
1 Locomotion R-Genex
1 Orient Dragon
1 Red Dragon Archfiend
1 Scrap Dragon
1 Stardust Dragon
1 Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
1 Inzektor Exa-Beetle
1 Leviair the Sea Dragon
1 Leviathan Dragon
2 Wind-Up Zenmaines

Armageddon Knight can be crucial in a multitude of ways. Armageddon Knight tosses Inzektor Hornet into the Graveyard, making it easier for Dragonfly and Centipede to grab it and destroy a card my opponent controls, which will then activate their effects. Second, Armageddon Knight helps to thin out my deck, which helps when I need that one card just to turn around the duel or buy myself another turn. Third, Armageddon Knight creates, and is, fuel for Dark Armed Dragon later on in the duel. Genex Ally Birdman can help me snap into a Level 6 or Level 9 Synchro Monster, and return Dragonfly to my hand for re-use later on (even better if Dragonfly has Giga-Mantis Equipped to it). Speaking of Giga-Mantis, I run 3, which some people might find strange. However, looking at its two effects, I don't really think it's that odd. You can Equip Giga-Mantis to any Inzektor on the field and the Equipped Monster's attack immediately jumps to 2400. Then, if Giga-Mantis goes to the Graveyard, Special Summon any Inzektor in the Graveyard. That's a pretty damn good effect. I feel that I should add a second Mystic Tomato to my deck, to speed up the process of getting out my Inzektors.

On the Spell and Trap Card front, everything seems pretty standard. Spell Cards are your standard staples, with Foolish Burial in there to (once again) throw Hornet into the Graveyard for Centipede/Dragonfly/Dark Armed Dragon fuel. Lair Wire can be pretty useful at times, when I've exhausted all other ways to retrieve Dragonfly/Hornet/Centipede, or when I need to cut down on the DARK Monsters in my Graveyard to summon Dark Armed Dragon. It also combos well with Leviair the Sea Dragon.

Wow I haven't even touched my YGO cards in...forever lol.

Was randomly browsing around the other day, saw BLS:EotE was off the Forbidden list, had to do a couple of double takes lol. I mean wow...I remember when that tore shit up, and it's out for play again...kinda amusing to me.

Anyone here a collector at all? I still have 3 very rare (and sealed) promo cards from the YGO DDS game way way back before the TCG even hit the shelves in the USA, good old Blue Eyes White Dragon, Dark Magician, and Exodia; any ideal on how much they're worth possibly?

150 easy, maybe 200-250 though depending on how serious the collector is. kinda hard to gauge considering how rare it is to find that stuff still sealed

I agree with Glen, the Blue-Eyes itself is 150 so I'm guessing around close to 200 as the rest of the cards don't break through the 30 mark (Dark Magician is around 25 and Exodia is around 20). Those are near mint, but yours are in their original packaging so i would go estimate 225 to 275 for those.

Cool, thanks for the replies guys. Don't suppose there are any more rare cards from a collector's standpoint? Still got good ol' Raigeki lying around somewhere lol...

For what it's worth I ran Gadgets a long while back, they still any good?

It really depends on the type of Gadgets. They're no longer top tier, if I recall correctly, but Ultimate Gadgets (swarming the field with Ultimate Offering, Gadgets, and then going on a final zerg rush with Limiter Removal) is still hanging around. Machina Gadget decks are a bit more prevalent though.

Personally, I prefer Ultimate Gadget Monarchs. Tributing Gadget after Gadget to remove my opponent's field piece by piece if pretty satisfying.

this just happened so i had to share it.

i run a variant of gadgets, i'll share my list later.

Looks pretty good, but I would probably cut down the monster count a little bit. With your Gadgets, you seldom need another monster since they pretty much ensure you will always have one.

Maybe run a little bit more monster hate for when you don't draw Ultimate Offering? This seems a little more critical because you don't have access to Duality. 3:
