If i sent out a serene grace Blissey and Dunsparce, and they both use rock slide with a flinch chance of 60% what would the total chance of each opposing pokemon flinching.

1-(1-0.6)^2=84% on each individually. 70.56% chance of flinching both, 97.44% chance of flinching at least one.

That's disregarding Rock Slide's accuracy, I'm too tired to figure out how that factors in right now.

Oh wow, this will be a great help.

Anywho, is a Trick Room/Rain Dance team a viable option? If so, could I please have some insight on how it could be pulled off? I already have a few ideas. Thanks in advance

You mean TR+Drizzle, right? Using the move Rain Dance is more of a backup.
Yea it is a quite viable, though somewhat uncommon strategy. Politoed can hold Iron Ball so he will practically always get rain up over what weather set-up your opponent might have. For TR setters, Jellicent and Slowking work well with rain. Gastrodon is just a good, slow-mon who likes rain. So maybe Politoed/Jellicent as primary lead, Politoed can heal Jelli with Surf

I've got a question regarding tournament legality of BW2 Moveset changes and items. BW2 is due out in early June and US Nationals are in early July. It's unknown if there will be a US release before the US Nationals. Will Pokemon that learn new moves from BW2 (like a Fake Out or Wide Guard tutor) be allowed at the US Nationals? A similar issue with unreleased items like the Custap Berry. Japanese only event Pokemon like Speed Boost Blaziken are currently allowed so it seems to me that BW2 changes will be legal as soon as the game comes out. However a month is a pretty short time frame to prepare things and it's not reasonable to expect people to inport a game to have access to the new moves. I believe the TCG has a policy that card that are too new aren't legal but I'm not too sure on this. I've tried the official contact form for this question but I've only gotten a generic "we can't talk about unreleased BW2 info" as a response so far.

I got an official update to this:

"As all VGC events are operated directly out of the TPCi US offices, only Pokemon, moves and items from the Black Version and White Version games will be allowed at Nationals and Worlds in 2012."

At least for now it seems BW2 won't affect VGC this year. I'll probably double check when we get closer to the Nationals and Worlds.

It's also good on Swellow, which is uncommon but a huge pain in the ass if you aren't prepared for it.

Basically any Flying-type that doesn't have Acrobatics.

It has a 19% chance of freezing at least one of the opposing pokemon in hail considering it never misses, but there's no additional chance outside of that

Is hail any good in vgc, because I like the 120 bp perfectly accurate spread move called blizzard?

The move or Hail in general? Hail the actual move isn't as effective as using Abomasnow to set up Hail with Snow Warning. Hail in general is really good. Many Pokemon that are viable in VGC 2012 can work wonders under Hail such as Frosslass, Glaceon, etc. Hail is definitely an option with so many options.

You can also construct a team that isn't a "dedicated" Hail team which just utilizes Abomasnow spamming Blizzard.

The weather, my team right now pretty much revolves around a scarfed blizzard spamming glaceon.

I'm testing a hail team that is doing pretty well in random Wi-Fi, and Cybertron won his fall regional with a hail/TR team as you can see here. So yes, it can be very good.

So with the new Swiss method for matches, if I loose the first match of the 7 am I already kicked out or not?

I heard someone saying in another thread that he lost first round and he had to go.
No, you can stay for all 7 matches even if you go 0-7, and it's even possible to make T4 with one loss depending on how your opponents do. You may have been looking at the UK thread - the European events are still using single elimination this year.
