To those frequenting the anarchy server: You may have noticed I moved our entrance down one square and to the right so the hole is covered in a square of grass. This will help to make sure grass grows over the dirt as quick as possible (although even then it takes some time).

<jamster1297> cause I hear
<jamster1297> that you have all the glowstone on this server

I would like to formally debunk this rumor. It is true that I have a lot of glowstone, but I do not have all of it. The Nether is huge, there's still plenty out there.

It's about time to post pictures of the project that I have been working on for the past month.

On the original smogcraft server, I lived in a manmade forest that I referred to as the Forest of Funk, which amazingly did not get griefed. The goal was to make an "epic" treehouse, basically. I eventually stopped playing for a while and didn't get back into creative minecraft playing until recently, so I thought that my first major project on the new server would be another treehouse. This time though, I wanted it to be even grander, and making the forest entirely out of large jungle trees was how I chose to go about that, along with jack o' lantern lamps on walkways.

Anyway, there is still plenty more for me to do with this, but here are some pictures of what I have done so far (note: They were shrunk to 20% of their original size):

woah, what texture pack is that bass? It's really cool! And so is that awesome treefort. I like the jacko lantern lamps that you have on the outside!

Also, Shawn, could you pm me the coords to the place I had claimed I was hiding? I accidentally reset my home somewhere else, and now I'm lost.

-_-

Is this the ace-craft thing? I thought we quit that. Or is there a new anarchy server? If so, I'm in.

Is there a list of things that don't exist in Xbox Minecraft? For instance, I've never seen a thunderstorm but I'm not sure if they don't exist or if I've just never seen one

The 360 version is based on the 1.6.6 version which was released almost a year ago (yeesh)

So yeah a years worth of features that PC's have are not in the xbox game.

Anyways I can't remember when rain was added but if it has rained it will thunder eventually.

New Snapshot :o Get it here

Time for a new snapshot! One big difference this time is that you don’t need the server jar to play single-player. Also,
  • Villagers will trade items (they are cheap bastards, though!)
  • Added a “currency item”
  • A few minor terrain changes
  • A new useful block/item (requires obsidian)
  • Added a /seed command for showing the map seed
  • Added sandstone stairs
  • A lot of smaller changes and fixes

Used to move items between worlds somehow..

I'm just copy pasting stuff from reddit because i'm at work and can't test them myself!

perhaps the enderchest is a little like the magic backpack thing?

ie stuff in that enderchest is in all your other enderchests, meaning its an investment of high-end resources for the convenience of not havin to lug stuff around and risk losing it when going somewhere new

although i guess you'd need obsidian still...

maybe it doesn't even do that!!

The Enderchests are cool but unlike the mod version it doesn't look like we can make different versions to use, at least at the moment. I'd like the idea of placing one at the enderfarm for people to stick in enderpearls while they are leveling up, and if people need to they can use it as a quick trading system when they aren't close together by just removing the pearls.

God I'll love how logblock tries to deal with this one.

EDIT: OH MY GOD VILLAGER TRADING

It's amazing, I think it's linked to "profession" or some sort of thing because there is certainly a variety. Most buy but some do sell, thinks like dimaond sword for 13 emeralds, 2 glowstone for 1 em, 4 glass for 1. I'm probably going to go crazy now and turn the villager hotel into a villager market where we trap all the good ones in order for them to do our bidding. It will be called the Block Market of course.

Some have the potion 'drunk' effect and offer two things which you can switch. (It looks like the more you trade the more options they get, with a max of 5, not always getting better, god I hope this isn't random).

It's so wonderful. I love it.

In other news I have seen one offering 3 glowstone per emerald

Say goodbye to your monopoly Veed...

Dan that is amazing. You can do so much with dispensable water

hnggg dispensers now pick up and dispense water and lava

I recently went to the nether and acquired 4 stacks of glowstone, there's still plenty out there.

I haven't uploaded anything to my Youtube account in ages and I want to rectify that with more Smogcraft goodness.

Anyone have any communities they feel are ready to be recorded? If not, I'll just do Lotus Village.

I'll probably do the recording tomorrow afternoon.

(Stafy, if you want to do co-commentary, let me know)

Let me tell you my tale of horror and bugs.

So i downloaded the newest snapshot (Magic Launcher is really cool by the way) and started a new world. I found myself in the middle of an alpine biome and a jungle biome. I quickly went to work getting cocoa beans, chopping down the alpine trees (some jungle trees too but i made the alpine ones priority) and finding caves. Eventually i got a bit bored just wandering through a jungle and decided to set out for a village because that's where all the cool, new stuff comes from. After a very long trek around what i perceived to be an island that i spawned on, i found a desert, and then one simple little sandstone house. I saw a chest inside it, so i went towards the house, and my game started getting jolty and i couldn't move towards the house. So i logged out and then back in. When i did so, i was falling down through the void! Eventually it got to y=-2000 and i was still going down, so i exited minecraft entirely. But when i tried to enter my world again, it didn't even load. So i got very sad, and deleted my world to start over again. Of course, in my entire time i never took any pictures of the world breaking bug, so i'm sure it would be really hard to replicate again...

Tl;dr, don't look directly at the bugs. :(
