This honestly blew my mind. What else is Game Freak hiding from us?To add on to this, Trainers have 4 moves too; Fight, Switch, Item and Run. :-D

That makes a lot of sense as DNA wouldn't survive over millions of years and the fact that real fossils aren't really the organic matter that were the bones of these ancient creatures.I always had a feeling that it wasn't that Rock Pokemon were the only ancient Pokemon or that we made them rock types (but it did come up at one point). Instead, what if, the only Pokemon that left fossils that we COULD resurrect were Rock types? Most creatures without bones can't really leave a "typical" fossil. We'd find out about them if they get stuck in amber or as imprints in rocks or something. What's not to say the only Pokemon that had enough DNA to clone or something were Rock types? It makes sense when you think of it. Fossils are essentially the bones and stuff being turned into rock. But if the bones and such are ALREADY rock, then the "rock DNA" or something could be preserved compared to other Pokemon.
The main thing Meowth does make me wonder about: the implication is that any Pokemon could, given time and practice, learn how to speak Human language. Could that work in reverse, such that a human, through mannerisms or whatever witchcraft is at work, could communicate just by repeating a single word in Pokemon Speak?
I see what you did there. So the Americans are the ones who push for a harsh Versailles in this analogy? (Yeah, makes sense due to the lack of a Poke-Germany or England.)
Assuming the series lasts long enough, I'm sure they'll probably base a region on Germany, and the large, oversized island nation of England is practically begging for a region based on it, split into a three different parts, based off of England, Scotland, and Ireland.
How they'll base those region's antagonistic history off of them without offending (and still doing justice to) Germany will be interesting.
Maybe not Ireland, but I can see maybe them attaching Wale and possibly Scotland on the very top. Ireland I can see being its own region, and if they don't attach Scotland to England I can maybe see having Scotland being a second island in that region. Now I suppose they could make all 4 into one region, but they could have to stereotype them a bit more so might be best to just do England + Wales and Ireland + Scotland.
Though personally I'm waiting for the Greece or Italy region so we can get some Greek/Roman mythical Pokemon (and also the Scandinavian countries for Norse mythical Pokemon).
As for German villains, well personally I'd call it a missed opportunity if they didn't do some kind of Nazi analogue. As long as they're presented as villains I don't think there will be a problem, especially if they show the region rejecting them and their goals.
Well, have you ever tried to punch a bug? Also, what can a single bug do to a skilled fighter?Okay, hmm, new mystery. Well looking through TV Tropes reminded me of a mystery we haven't talked about and we could probably have a lengthy discussion with: type relations. Specifically ones which you're note quite sure how they relate (or why some don't have a relation). Just to start off, here's a few:
Normal weak to Fighting (why out of all the Pokemon types is only Fighting super effective against Normal? The others I feel are self explanatory why I listed them)
Fighting resist Bug & vice versa
Poison resist Fighting
Ghost resist Bug
Steel resist Dragon & Psychic
Fire resist Fairy
Water & Electric resist Steel
Dark weak to Bug
Fairy immune to Dragon
Of course if there's a type relation you find odd or there are two types you feel should have some form or relation but don't feel free to add in. I'll add in my own theories later.

Fairy immune to Dragon (and supereffective against Dragon) due to fairy tales always slaying the dragon in the end.Okay, hmm, new mystery. I've always thought of the reason Water resists Steel being that if you try to slash a body of water with a sword, it won't exactly do much.
Wasn't there a Greek/Roman/Somehthing myth with an army that was forced by their mad queen to keep attacking the ocean? Might be the reason for Water resisting Steel.
Wouldn't steel be weak to water then?Do you mean the story in the Bible where God drowns the entire Egyptian army in the Red Sea while allowing the Israelites to escape?
Anyway, imo Water resists Steel because Steel will rust if it comes into contact with water and oxygen.
The Roman emporer Caligula once declared war on poseidon and made his soldiers stab the water.Wasn't there a Greek/Roman/Somehthing myth with an army that was forced by their mad queen to keep attacking the ocean? Might be the reason for Water resisting Steel.
And this is also why Horse-type is super effective on Crazy-type.The Roman emporer Caligula once declared war on poseidon and made his soldiers stab the water.
It could be because not all metals rust or corrode easily. While Iron and Steel (which contains iron) rust easily, Aluminum does not. Plus even for metals that oxidize, you can give them coatings to resist rust (like Galvanized Steel, which has a layer of Zinc protecting it).Wouldn't steel be weak to water then?

Is it Metal-Type in Japan? It could be because not all metals rust or corrode easily. While Iron and Steel (which contains iron) rust easily, Aluminum does not. While this would carry more weight if it wasn't explicitly called "Steel-type," I doubt every metal pokemon is made of the same metal. Or else Empoleon would really have a bad time swimming.
No, it is still Steel-type. It is Metal in the TCG, though. Is it Metal-Type in Japan?
