Legendary & Mythical Comeback
Metagame Premise: Legendary & Mythical Pokemon get better abilities that match up with their typing.
Potential Bans and Threats: Not really sure just yet. Regigigas might be one for sure.

Ever wanted your favorite mythical and legendary pokemon to have a cool ability? Well, now they do! Legendary & Mythical Pokemon that are OU and below now have better abilities that line up with their typing. It only makes sense considering there supposed to be the titans of their typing, right? So take for instance: Entei would get Drought, Virizion would get Grassy Surge, and Regigigas would get Cloud Nine.

Fire: Drought

Water: Drizzle

Grass: Grassy Surge

Electric: Surge Surfer

Psychic: Analytic

Fairy: Fairy Aura

Dark: Dark Aura

Ghost: Shadow Shield

Flying: Aeriliate

Bug: Chlorophyll

Dragon: Soul-Heart

Normal: Cloud Nine

Ice: Snow Warning

Ground: Sand Rush

Rock: Sand Stream

Steel: Filter

Fighting: Guts

Poison: Corrosion

Questions for Community: Which Pokemon do you think would be broken in this meta? Do you think these abilities make sense?

Does it erase the original Ability the mon has? Like, does Terrakion get Justified, Sand stream AND Guts?

A metagame where stealth rocks' type is the same as the first type of the user(and deal damage based on its super effectivness, not very effectivness and ineffectivness) ,every pokemon gets stealth rocks, questions:
-Is this codable?
-does this sound more like a pet mod then an OM?

Prioritize
Metagame Premise: A format where all attack with 50 power or fewer gains +1 priority, simple as that. Moves that do set damage or doesn't have a set power will not get +1 priority. Multi-strike moves that can hit 2-5 times at random are unaffected as well.

Banlist:
OU Clause
Mud Slap

Potential bans and threats:
  • A potential move that's banworthy is Smack Down. In addition to gaining +1 Priority, Smack Down makes any target that got hit by it vulnerable to Ground-type move. Especially since most Pokemon that do get Smack Down has Ground-type coverage.
  • Another one would be Fell Stinger. If this move KO a Pokemon, the user will have its attack boosted drastically. This can be easily accomplished with +1 priority.
  • Flame Charge and Power-up Punch become priority attacks that always boost Attack and Speed, respectively.
  • While not always, Charge Beam has a high chance of boosting the user's Sp. Attack.
  • Marowak has Bonemerang which has 50 power that hit twice with STAB. And Everyone knows what Thick Club does.
  • Tapu Lele can block priority with Psychic Surge. It doesn't look like something that should be banned but definitely something to beware of.
  • And anything with Technician will be terrifying in this format.
Question for the community:
Should I just straight up ban Cloyster?
Any sets you can come up with?

Also, to response someone's question:

I do recall an OM called Same-type Stealth Rock back in Gen 6. However, it is not a very popular format.

Banlist:
OU Clause
Mega Heracross

Potential bans and threats:
  • Cloyster will be a menace with Skill Link-boosted Icicle Spear plus Shell Smash. Not sure should I just quick ban it first or just see it how Cloyster performs first before taking any action, but it definitely isn't something that will stay for too long

Honestly I think that maybe you should alter multi-hits to not get the +1 priority property - Cloyster's obviously an issue but Breloom's the more dangerous one to me. Bullet Seed has an average equivalent power in the hands of technician Breloom of 118 before STAB, and at the worst is like a 75 BP before STAB. This is, of course, ever so slightly absurd. Adding in the buff to Mach Punch in replacing it with Power-Up Punch and Breloom seems vaguely terrifying to beat, since switching into it leaves you open to Spore.

Toucannon meanwhile has access to functionally equivalent 125 BP Grass and Rock moves at +1 priority. Add in Swords Dance and you've got a rather threatening sweeper.

Godly Reflection

Another homage to the interesting meta last gen called "Type Reflector", but changed the rules a bit, because of Steel's dominance last gen.

Metagame Rules
1.
The first slot of your team is reserved for your "god" and you can choose the mon up to Uber. Of course, you can also put OU mon or below here.
2.
The rest of the mon (slot 2 to 6), you can only choose up to OU
3
. What does the god do? The god transfers their primary typing into teammates' secondary typing.

Example: this is your team

Groudon
Dragonite
Landorus
Entei
suicune
Lucario

in this case

Groudon stays Ground type
Dragonite becomes Dragon/Ground type (if you have 2 typing already one will be replaced)
Landorus becomes pure Ground type
Entei becomes Fire/Ground type
Suicune becomes Water/Ground type
Lucario becomes Fighting/Ground type

Q: There's no limitation for the teammates as long as it's OU right?
A: Yes, this is not gods and followers

Q: Why did you have put Uber and not OU mon like last gen?
A: Last gen, Steel were absolutely unbreakable and the only S tier type, with a few typing lik Dark, Electric and Ghost following them, while types like Psychic, Fire are C/D rank. No, not even Fairy is that good because Steel is everywhere. In Ubers, there's very few good primary Steel mon (Solg and Necro-DM is Psychic btw), probably only Arceus-Steel. Because of this, I think this will give better chance to types like Psychic and Fire.

Alphability
Metagame premise: All abilities get replaced by the next one alphabetically.
So for example, All Fire starters get Bulletproof instead of Blaze, Grass starters get Own Tempo instead of Overgrow, and Water starters get Tough Claws instead of Torrent

Potential bans and threats: OU clauses.
So far, I am not sure what the potential bans might be, but Tapu Lele is an obvious one :P

Questions for the community: So... what do you guys think?

That sounds pretty interesting to me. Wonder Guard wimpod sounds fun :]

Some potential threats after just looking at random mons:
-Kyurem-Black gets Thick Fat.
-Archeops gets Defiant
-Florges gets Fluffy
-Malamar gets innards out (maybe ban)
-Kecleon gets Comatose
-Darmanitan gets Adaptability assuming Z goes to A
-Greninja can get beast boost
-Tornadus can have 0 weaknesses with delta stream
-Snorlax gets Imposter (ban)
-Klinklang gets Misty Surge to avoid burn
-Salamence can become Dragonite but faster with Multiscale
-Lots of things have Parental Bond now (ban)
-Necrozma gets Protean
-Muk-Alola gets Prankster
-Blissey can have Shadow Shield (kill me)
-Kommo-o gets Speed Boost

Also, I just learned this has already been a meta called Ability Shift.

Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance / Curse
- Metal Claw
- Roost

Scizor isn't exactly the same. It has slightly better Steel STAB! Other than that, its only other new option is using Struggle Bug to mess with Special attackers.

excadrill.gif

Excadrill @ Groundium Z
Ability: Sand Rush / Sanf Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 8 SpD / 248 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Metal Claw
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide

Here's someone who benefits a bit more from Metal Claw. Sand Force is now an option because of priority.

garchomp-mega.gif

Garchomp-Mega @ Garchompite
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dual Chop

Here's a partner to pair with Excadrill and a sand setter.

manaphy.gif

Manaphy @ Sea Incense
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

EVs: 128 HP / 252 SpA / 128 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

Here are three strong Pokemon who have weak STABs to supplement their main STABs. Standard stuff.

xurkitree.gif

Xurkitree @ Focus Sash
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tail Glow

*Boosting intensifies.*

buzzwole.gif

Buzzwole @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost

BOOOOOOOOST

amoonguss.gif

Amoonguss @ Assault Vest
Ability: Effect Spore
EVs: 252 HP / 96 Def / 160 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Clear Smog
- Giga Drain
- Stomping Tantrum
- Hidden Power [Fire]

With all these boosters running rampant, something to stop them is necessary.

Already submited this before and it git rejected

Those are certainly weird picks. If it was me, I would have given bug Tinited Lens and dragon Mold Breaker, but you do what you want.
So, tinted lens didn't seem to strong of an ability for Bug types. So, I gave Chlorophyll as bugs are found in forests (most of the time) and it does give bug types a good boost for the meta. Mold Breaker works. I just went with soul heart because, that was the only ability I could think of that was good for Dragon Types without being too OP.

Does it erase the original Ability the mon has? Like, does Terrakion get Justified, Sand stream AND Guts?
I was thinking about this, and I'm thinking about just leaving it like that. But, pokemon like Terrakion would get the additional options of Sand Stream or Guts. Not both in battle.

Tinted Lens is a super good ability what
Think about the meta, and think about the mons that will get the ability. Bug-Silvally and Buzzwole. Now look at the other abilities the other mons get. I'm not saying Tinted Lens would be bad, I just tried to come up with an ability that would allow these bug types to be viable, at the same time corresponding with their typing, in that meta. If you think tinted lens can compete in that meta, then by all means provide examples. Chlorophyll just seemed like the best idea to me. If plenty of people want tinted lens over chlorophyll, then I don't mind changing it.

I think that dual chop could be scary or any double hitting move with technician how would it work with technician?

Since technician alters the base power, I'd assume it doesn't have priority. However depending on how it's coded, it may still give the +1 priority. That is, if you really want to use a Dual Chop Ambipom...

They’d still have priority after technician because base power checks from abilities come in after moves are modified

im more worried about haxorus with duel chop basicly a priority 80 bp move set up sd and smack something with it also xurkitree with priority charge beam+specs hp investment modest I know its stupid proirty karaty chop?

bone marange would be interesting with mariowak having a strong priority move really helps and oculd even make him viable

also walls got a huge buff in clear smog also poison fang?

also beat up work in priority? also proirty rapid spin also mud slap ;)

yes im very bad

Dual Chop is certainly scary, seeing as how it's the second strongest new priority move behind Bonemerang and Gear Grind (please don't use Klinklang).

Karate Chop is likely going to overshadowed by Power-Up Punch.

Priority Clear Smog and Poison Fang is pretty sweet, though their distribution leaves something to be desired.

Beat Up won't work because it doesn't have a set base power.
