As we already said, the next slate will be a slate where you make fakemon based on prompts.

The prompts of the slate are:

Read the prompt: Offensive Fire-type that isn't crippled by tar terrain (we got tang but eh)

Good defogger: yeah

Why is the meta so slow?: Offensive wallbreaker with over 100 speed and setup (powercreep)

In addition, gonna give you 24 hours for the discussion phase. Have fun and congrats to guttrainer and Regic Boat !

Pokémon: Quitofae
Prompt: Fast Offensive Pokémon w/ Set Up
Stats: 88 / 94 / 85 / 96 / 83 / 107 [BST: 553]
Typing:
Bug.png
Fairy.png

Abilities: Triage | HA: Amber Case*
Amber Case - Doubles the Attacking stat of the user whenever it uses a Grass type move. Halves damage from Poison type moves. Immune to the Poison type status. Pollen Puff is boosted by 1.3 if the user had this ability.
Movepool: Draining Kiss, Dazzling Gleam, Calm Mind, Leech Life, Giga Drain, Strength Sap, Bug Buzz, U-turn, Dream Eater, Stun Spore, Pollen Puff, Hypnosis, Swords Dance, Venom Drain, Leech Seed, Ingrain, Play Rough, Seed Bomb, Aromatherapy, Skill Swap, Venoshock, Horn Leech, Dive, Water Pulse, Water Gun

Weight: 0.09 kg

Based on the mosquito trapped in Amver that started Jurassic Park, Quitofay arrives in a metagame swarmed with Poison types and a metagame with multiple defining Steel types, and says no. It will not yield. Quitofay is defined by it's usage of draining moves, but has to contend with the fact that none of it's moves hit 100 BP and that it is limited to exclusively Bug, Fairy, Poison and Grass coverage. That being said, Quitofay is a threatening sweeper and revengekiller, with Triage making it's STABs of choice have high amounts of priority. As I said, it is not without fault, and struggles to handle Pokémon like Bastiodon, Mamoswine and Archeops. But if these threats are handled, prepared for a dangerous set up sweeper.

Pokémon: Moabound (Moa bird + Earthbound)
Prompt: Good Defogger
Stats: 127 / 87 / 79 / 76 / 68 / 61 [BST: 498]
Typing:
Ground.png
Flying.png

Abilities: Mountaineer | HA: Early Bird
Movepool: Earthquake, Stomping Tantrum, Morning Sun, Peck, Pluck, Stealth Rock, Defog, Stone Edge, Earthquake, Agility, Bulldoze, High Horsepower, Wood Hammer, Drill Peck, Amnesia, Toxic, Heat Crash, Scorching Sands, Hurricane, Air Slash, Heavy Slam, All Universal TMs

Weight: 340 kg

Moabound is a heavy bird like Pokémon that has a great ability in Mountaineer, which grants it a complete immunity to hazards. Mountaineer also grants it an immunity to Rock type moves upon switch in, giving it a one time clap against the dangerous Rampardos that like to lock into Head Smash.

Pokémon: Malevodon (Malevolent + Smilodon)
Prompt: Fire type unhindered by Tar Pit (just nerf it ya losers)
Stats: 73 / 121 / 89 / 54 / 76 / 81 [BST: 506]
Typing:
Dark.png
Fire.png

Abilities: Tar Diver / Intimidate | HA: Strong Jaw
Tar Diver - When in Tar Pits, user ignores the effects of them and instead boosts Dark type moves by x1.2. (Announces itself upon switchin)
Movepool: Fire Fang, Jaw Lock, Crunch, Sucker Punch, Poison Fang, Flare Blitz, Bite, Bounce, Dive, Earthquake, Throat Chop, Quash, Torment, Fire Blast, Lava Plume, Will O Wisp, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Sludge Bomb, Scorching Sands, Thunder Fang, All Universal TMs, Asphang*

Asphang - 70 BP. Fire type. If Tar Pit is active, removes it before doing damage and gains a 20% chance to Poison target. Biting move.

Weight: 79 kg

Can't beat them? Join them. Malevodon is a Fire typed Sabertooth tiger which specializes in ambushing the creatures that fall in Tar Spits. Malevodon steps out with a formidable Flare Blitz and STAB Throat Chop ( no Knock Off:( ) backed by colorful coverage. It is not perfect though, as it hates most bulky Water types and non Tar Spit sets are suspected to being crippled by Stealth Rock like everything else.

Pokémon: Pupapool
Stats: 38 / 74 / 45 / 46 / 73 / 57 [BST: 333]
Typing:

Movepool: Rock Blast, Flame Wheel, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Iron Tail, Dragon Tail, Rock Polish, Coil, Flame Charge, Flare Blitz, Earthquake, Bullet Punch, Stealth Rock, Dual Chop, Smack Down, Rock Polish, Rapid Spin, Fire Fang, Quick Attack, Will O Wisp

Vulca Claw - Fire type. 55 BP. 20% chance to burn foe. Does 1.5 damage versus burnt targets. 15 PP. 90% Accuracy.

Yes, I ported over a Fakemon I made from a previous Pet Mod with some adjustments to it's movepool, but come on! It is way too good to leave hanging over there, so I decided to make a few adjustments (Bonemerang is probably too strong, added sexy priority, a brand new signature and the required set up move).

i dont think its actually time to sub yet

anyways,

:yanmega:-ancient is cool.

:gastrodon:-entity is cool and :gastrodon-east:-entity is cool.

i made :tangrowth:-ancient so lol.

new mons look super cool, my two favorites are probably gastrodon-east and the tangrowth, but they all look interesting and I am excited to use them. I'm definitely going to build a team around Gastro-East and Tangrowth later, they look like a really good pair!

Yeah its in 22 hours. Nice idea tho lol.

:gastrodon: yo hice esto

:yanmega: i like this pkmn. it can hit hard but it got its drawbacks. very nice overall

:tangrowth: fuck tar pit. i like this :)

:gastrodon: i like both of these, i really like tar pit and i love having something that can use tar pit while destroying other abusers, and idk how i feel ab the west gastro but mf can drop a mean draco and the meta needed that, just for funsies.

:yanmega: this is great i wish it was faster, agility sets feel underwhelming to me:/ can we give it DD /hj nvm its perfect

:tangrowth: booo mine was better /j i like this, its cool, but i wish we had a defogger or something to add to terrain wars, like a new terrain, not a remover, but that may be just me.

:gastrodon: Proof the playerbase was traumatized by Omastar. East would be epic if not for the fact that it's our 109347298th Tar Terrain Abuser and doesn't really bring much else to the table (besides being a Poison that breaks the other Poisons, I guess?) West has an amazing defensive typing, good bulk, and reliable recovery, meaning we have yet another bulky Poison. Whoopee. Should probably dial it back on Poisons for future slates.

:yanmega: Y'all be mad underrating this ability. Reverse Analytic as a concept is insanely strong, and iirc this works like Fishious/Bolt Beak, meaning it activates on switches as well, giving this the best of both worlds as an offensive ability. Against bulkier mons, you essentially always have a free LO boost, which is just absolutely wild, not to mention you can run Scarf and essentially have Scarf and LO in the same set. This will be a major offensive threat for sure, but at least it struggles to hit the tier's Fairi- Wait nope nvm this gets Poison Fang. Run while you still can.

:tangrowth: Council's gotta suck it up and nerf Tar Terrain before we get more dedicated counters like this one. Would be cool except for the fact that it straight up loses to not only every abuser, but also the setter for Tar Pit, meaning it'll struggle to do its job with Absorption. As a standalone mon, its only other viable ability is Mold Breaker, which affects the zero (0) Flash Fire mons we have rn, making it essentially useless. Otherwise, pretty alright mixed wall with a fairly awful defensive typing, meaning it'll usually be overlooked in favor of other mons.

Slate was all over the place in terms of balance. It's clear the playerbase understands the key meta threats, but not why they're threatening or how to answer them, seeing as every winner either overlaps heavily with/is outclassed by existing mons, or is funny haha reverse Analytic. Don't get me wrong, I like the winners, but I think there's definitely more of a competitive lens that could be placed on submissions in the future. Good thing the prompts for next slate are competitive-focused :)

If it is truly reverse Analytic, it wont trigger on switch, since Switching "moves" before anything can execute a move, unless this Pokémon uses Pursuit (WHICH IT GETS!). The ability code exists in other metagames and works as such.

yeah uh, we asked the submitter and they said it was meant to activate on switches, so look forward to that (I suppose we can change it if there's enough support for a change, the only issue being that the mon was balanced around the ability activating on switches)

hello world

Slate 6 has now commenced!

On this slate, we will feature the prompts i announced one day ago, and here we will have some guidelines to make the mons.

Read the Prompt: An offensive Fire-type that isn't crippled by Tar Terrain is a cool idea, this one is pretty simple though. Just keep in mind that Tar Terrain is getting nerfed and it will be either just the 25% recoil or halved damage on fire moves (like sun) and keeping the recoil.

Offensive Pokémon with 100+ speed and some form of setup: NGL this one is the probably hardest because you really need to focus on the setup move you give to it and how to balance it statwise. Just go to the sacred #submission-feedback channel to see if it's fine.

Good Defogger: Just make a mon that will run defog and is viable lol. A list of the Stealth Rock setters (main hazard) will be here below for your sanity. :torkoal: :kabuto: :cradily: :bastiodon: | all mons that learn rocks lol ( | is to differ mons that usually 100% run it from mons that will probably run it but it's not the best option)

that's literally it

edit: ALSO PLEASE TELL WHAT PROMPT UR MON IS FROM LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PLS

Pokemon: Phorusteel (mixture of the phorus in phorusrhacidae and Hagana, japanese for steel.)
Creature based on: Phorusrhacidae (aka Terror Bird)
Type: Dark / Steel (no flying because Terror Birds cannot fly)
Abilities: Early Bird
Stats: 80/85/70/60/90/85

Moves: Agility / Brave Bird / Drill Peck / High Jump Kick / Quick Attack / Rest / Roost / Steel Wing / Stomping Tantrum / Substitute / Taunt / Toxic / Whirlwind / Crunch / Knock Off / Smart Strike / Blaze Kick / Swagger / Sleep Talk / Giga Impact / Tailwind / Acrobatics / Double Team / Parting Shot / Stomp / Flash Cannon / Air Slash / Hurricane / Iron Defense / Defog

Flavor: This flightless bird can reach speeds of 48 mph. It stomps or bludgeons prey with its metal feet and beak.

Role: Offensive Defogger.

Pokemon: Daeling (mixture of the Dae in phorusrhacidae and hatchling)
Creature Based on: Phorusrhacidae (aka terror bird)
Typing: Dark / Steel
Abilities: Early Bird / Hustle
Stats: 55/85/45/65/75

Moves: All of Phorusteels moves except brave bird / high jump kick / acrobatics / hurricane

Flavor: Daeling live in packs until they grow up into Phorusteel. They hunt smaller pokemon with their metal beaks.

Role: Phorusteel LC
Pokemon: Titanferno (mixture of titanosaur/inferno)
Typing: Fire / Ground
Abilities: Sturdy / Rough Skin
Stats: 90/120/100/70/50/50

Moves: Brutal Swing / Dig / Dragon Tail / Earthquake / Endure / Head Smash / Giga Impact / Hyper Beam / Iron Defense / Outrage / Rest / Rock Slide / Rock Smash / Rock Tomb / Sandstorm / Stomping Tantrum / Substitute / Swagger / Tail Whip / Thrash / Toxic / Facade / Protect / Heat Wave / Fire Blast / Flamethrower / Flame Charge / Will o Wisp / Sunny Day / Stealth Rock / Flare Blitz / Fire Lash / Flattening* (Flattening is a 110 bp steel roller clone that is ground type)

Flavor: This massive beast roams whatever the setting of paleomons is, eating leaves from trees. When it walks, it flattens the ground under it. If angered it can cause earthquakes and spew flames.

Role: Offensive Fire type not crippled by tar terrain, a bit on the slower side, could probably run assault vest sets due to its lacking special bulk and high attack. Its high attack is balanced by its low speed and the fact that it gets nuked by water types.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pokemon: Cindacus (Cinder + Titanosaurus Dacus, a smaller species of titanosaurus)
Typing: Fire / Ground
Abilities: Sturdy / Rough Skin
Stats: 56 / 88 / 66 / 44 / 45 / 73

Moves: Titanfernos moves except Earthquake, head smash, hyper beam, giga impact, outrage, flare blitz.

Flavor: Cindacus are not nearly as large as Titanferno, so it eats from bushes and smaller trees its neck can barely reach. They are faster than Titanferno because of its size.

Role: LC Titanferno
Pokemon: Vamyrma (Ypresiomyrma [extinct bug] plus vampire)
Typing: Bug / Ghost
Abilities: Swarm / Levitate / Bloodsuck
Stats: 80/55/90/105/90/105

Moves: Giga Drain / Leech Life / Life Steal* (ghost type 80 BP draining move. Special. 50% drain.) / Confuse Ray / Dark Pulse / Dream Eater / Hypnosis / Calm Mind / Endure / Shadow Ball / Night Shade / Giga Impact / Hyper Beam / Rest / Sleep talk / Hex / Memento / Poltergeist / Protect / Psychic / Substitute / Swagger / Toxic / Trick / Will - o - Wisp / Bug Bite / Double Team / Return / Bug Buzz / Struggle Bug / Signal Beam / Aerial Ace / X Scissor / Swift / U turn / Skitter Smack

Flavor: This bug eats by draining the life force of prey it has slain. They mainly cannibalize, as other Vamyrma have more life stored within them, since its what they eat.

Role: Fast mon with set up

Other terrain's effects are ignored in this Pokémon. ex: Your Electric-type moves get boosted while you are in Tar Terrain, while the opponent's Poison-type moves are boosted, and not their Electric-type moves.)

before i knew it i'd written an entire essay for bakunult lol

Pokémon: Bohowl (Bohaiornithid + Howl)
Type:
Electric.png
Ghost.png

Stats: 65 / 55 / 100 / 95 / 110 / 85 (510 BST)
Abilities: Levitate
Prompt: Defogger
Moves: Defog, Discharge, Heat Wave, Hex, Roost, Shadow Ball (flavor moves are average learnsets for Electric and Ghost +Air Slash, Aerial Ace, Brave Bird)

Role & Desc: Based on Enantiornithes. Solid defogger that bullies common rockers thanks to a combination of Electric STAB to bully the common Waters and Levitate to dodge EQ from the Grounds. Also funni ancient bird.

Pokémon: Bakunult-Neutral (Bakunawa + Ultimate)
Type:
Fire.png
Dragon.png

Stats: 80 / 90 / 70 / 70 / 100 / 85 (495 BST)
Abilities: Levitate
Prompt: Offensive Fire not crippled by Tar Terrain
Moves: Dragon Claw, Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Flare Blitz, Outrage, Roost, Thunder Fang (flavor moves are average learnsets for Fire and Dragon +Stockpile, +Swallow, +Light of Ruin, +Poison Fang)

Role & Desc: Based on the Ultimate Weapon, as well as the Bakunawa, a moon dragon from Philippine mythology. Bakunult is a beast of monstrous proportions, capable of blowing away entire countries when Active. Its ancient paths of destruction charged stones with its power, allowing ancient Mega Stones to form. However, it takes massive amounts of energy to keep it in its Active form, and so it usually spends its time in a Neutral state. In this form, its colors are faded and it is comparatively easy to approach, though it is still a dangerous predator, with skin that is burning hot to the touch and a voracious appetite. It was known to fly through ancient jungles, swooping down to scoop up prey in its gaping jaws.

Competitively, Bakunult-Neutral is a pretty great Dragon Dance sweeper, with great STABs and lots of good coverage, though it suffers from fairly low base offensive stats, making it struggle to do much without setting up. Thanks to Levitate, it completely dodges the negative effects of Tar Terrain, and with EQ for coverage it can tear through common Tar cores with ease. It can also pull off pretty great specially defensive sets thanks to its solid special bulk and reliable recovery in Roost.

And as a bonus, here's its Active form! (this part is mostly for flavor, but it is very much viable)
Note: Bakunult-Neutral must be holding a Power Core to transform into this form (works like Giratina-Origin).
Type:
Fire.png
Dragon.png

Stats: 80 / 105 / 80 / 90 / 135 / 105 (595 BST)
Abilities: Solar Power
Custom Elements: Power Core: If Bakunult, Takes 0.5x damage from Electric moves.
Role & Desc: WIP - Great special wall or sidegrade DD sweeper from base.
Specifically talking about offensive sets here (WIP)
Bakunult-Neutral:

Offensive Answers:
:kabutops: +1 252 Atk Life Orb Turtonator Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Kabutops: 208-246 (71.4 - 84.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal
252 Atk Kabutops Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Turtonator: 270-318 (89.7 - 105.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Not sure how good Stone Edge is on Kabutops, but with it Bakunult just straight up dies.
:mamoswine: 252+ Atk Choice Band Mamoswine Ice Shard vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Turtonator: 129-153 (42.8 - 50.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Mamo pretty cleanly revenges after enough chip.
:rampardos: +1 252 Atk Life Orb Turtonator Dragon Claw vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Rampardos: 231-273 (65 - 76.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252 Atk Life Orb Turtonator Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Rampardos: 382-452 (107.6 - 127.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Rampardos Head Smash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Turtonator: 638-752 (211.9 - 249.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Rampardos (Scarf not necessary) obliterates as long as they aren't EQ.
:relicanth: 252 SpA Water Bubble Relicanth Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Turtonator: 179-211 (59.4 - 70%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
If for some reason you're running Scarf Relicanth, it revenges pretty cleanly.

Defensive Answers:
:kabuto: +1 252 Atk Life Orb Turtonator Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Kabuto: 74-88 (23.5 - 28%) -- 89.7% chance to 4HKO
+1 252 Atk Life Orb Turtonator Thunder Fang vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Kabuto: 99-117 (31.5 - 37.2%) -- 78.7% chance to 3HKO
4 SpA Kabuto Scald vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Turtonator: 72-85 (23.9 - 28.2%) -- 93.9% chance to 4HKO
Kabuto hardwalls DD Bakunult without Thunder Fang, and Thunder Fang sets still do very little damage even at +1. Also, Bakunult can't just set up more, as it takes too much from Scald to comfortably stay in.
:doduo: +1 252 Atk Life Orb Turtonator Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Unaware Dodrio: 140-165 (37.6 - 44.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
Bakunult's never breaking Dodrumb.
:drapion: +1 252 Atk Life Orb Turtonator Dragon Claw vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Drapion: 134-160 (38.9 - 46.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+1 252 Atk Life Orb Turtonator Thunder Fang vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Drapion: 146-174 (42.4 - 50.5%) -- 1.6% chance to 2HKO
4 Atk Drapion Poltergeist vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Turtonator: 145-172 (48.1 - 57.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Ghoulpion gets a pretty free switch in and Strength Sap every time.

There are other mons that also answer it unboosted (Tyrantrum, Scarf Armaldo, etc.), but since it's only really a threat when boosted anyway, I only listed the mons that beat boosted Bakunult here.

Role: Mixed Wallbreaker, Mixed Sweeper (Nasty Plot + Dragon Dance), Offensive Pivot, Offensive Utility, Defogger
Flavour: Based off volcanic storms, Haast's eagle, and the Firebird
Description: A highly versatile Pokemon, featuring a useful set of resistances, two amazing abilities, excellent coverage, and a good set of utility tools. It's immunity to chip gives it a lot of much-needed longevity; specifically its immunity to burns and Stealth Rocks means it doesn't fear switching into Torkoal-P's Lava Plume and it can switch in often and Defog or just pivot around a lot. Its main drawback comes from its paltry 65 defences, leaving it incredibly vulnerable to Rock- and Water-type coverage (Aqua Jet is notable here) and generally strong physical attackers, but its high Speed and access to setup allows it to circumvent these issues by just. moving faster.
Also yeah this mon fulfils all three prompts. I didn't mean for that to happen, it kinda just did lol

Role: Offensive Pivot (U-turn + Volt Switch), Physical Wallbreaker, Special Sweeper (Nasty Plot), Electric Terrain Sweeper
Flavour: Based off velociraptors. In case that wasn't extremely obvious
Description: A fast offensive pivot that can also function as a Nasty Plot sweeper and a stallbreaker with Taunt. Voltiraptor is an incredibly powerful mixed attacker that can opt for a physical set with immediate power, or for a special set with Nasty Plot. Its main drawback is its inability to damage Grass-types with anything other than U-turn - though it can cripple them with Knock Off. The solution for this is Aerilate, giving it perfect coverage. The only problem with this is its other ability, No Guard, allowing it to run Thunder and Focus Blast reliably. Niche sets could also use Surge Surfer + Electric Terrain (or any future Electric Surge Pokemon we get) to sweep. Other than this, Voltiraptor also possesses unique utility options such as Fake Out and Nuzzle, which nothing in the tier current has, and Defog and Taunt, which some things in the tier have

Role: Defensive Pivot, Defogger, Defensive Utility, Special Wall, Special Setup Sweeper (Calm Mind)
Flavour: Based off moon jellyfish and eelgrass limpets
Description: A defensive defogger that can beat or wall the tier's current Stealth Rockers (see below). Its Stealth Rock weakness is offset by its great special bulk and access to numerous utility tools in Knock Off, Flip Turn, Heal Bell, Toxic Spikes, Defog, and Haze. Alternatively, it can use Calm Mind to take a more offensive stance, utilising its good offensive offensive coverage. Of course Electric coverage still makes it explode and its more vulnerable to physical attackers than it is special, but you can always just switch out y'know?
  • Torkoal-P: 0 SpA Aurabella Scald vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Torkoal: 376-448 (109.6 - 130.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
  • Kabuto-A: Aurabella Traces Poison Heal and can Knock Off Kabuto-A's Eviolite. Worst Kabuto-A can do is Knock Off in return. Probably. Tbh I can't remember what this mon actually does lol
  • Cradily-A: Aurabella can heal off Toxic and Trace Cradily's Regenerator. Otherwise they just sit and wall each other
  • Bastiodon-O: Non-Focus Blast Aurabella/Bulletproof Bastiodon-O just sit and wall each other forever. Aurabella can reverse Grassy Terrain's healing with Scald burns but Bastiodon-O can Leech Seed so it's just a stallfest at that point really

"Its very presence induces throbbing headaches and memory loss. It can manipulate the perceptions of others, requiring specialized equipment to properly detect and record it."
"This lifeform is puzzling even beyond its perception-warping powers. Its biology, ecology, and origins are all a mystery."

Illusinogen is based off of Hallucigenia, a shining example of the weirdness that was the Cambrian period. It was originally misinterpreted having a bulbous head (that was in reality bodily fluids that were squashed out after death) and using its stiff back spines to walk.

Role: With this mon, I decided to focus on unconventional methods of boosting. Instead of having Calm Mind or Nasty Plot, Illusinogen uses Meteor Beam and Fiery Dance in tandem with Beast Boost to snowball and blow through opposing teams.
  • Blistering 113 Speed makes Illusinogen the third fastest mon in the meta.
  • Beast Boost allows Illusinogen to rack up boosts and either break or clean depending on its Nature. Timid makes the most out of its Speed and is able to outpace the entire meta at +1. Modest has more immediate power and can demolish slower mons by accumulating SpA boosts.
  • Strong overall coverage between Dark/Psychic/Rock/Fire/Grass/Fairy; with Fiery Dance torching Bastiodon, Grass Knot nailing Water-types, and Dazzling Gleam striking down Dark-types.
  • However, Illusinogen has zero resistances while having a crippling weakness to Bug, compounded by its low Defense. Illusinogen offers no defensive utility and struggles early to mid-game when opposing offensive threats are alive. Scarf Armaldo and Scarf Yanmega are its nemeses as they get free U-Turns on Illusinogen.
  • Its low Defense and weakness to Fairy leave it vulnerable to being revenge-killed by Aerodactyl and Archeops respectively.
  • Timid sets suffer from a lack of power when unboosted, giving them an even harder time early to mid-game. Modest sets are outpaced by fully invested base 100s (currently only Relicanth) as well as Atk+ Natured Shell Smash Carracosta at +2.
  • Has a slight case of 4MSS, as it must chose between its STABs, boosting attacks, and coverage.

BP: 100
Accuracy: 70%
Effects: Clears the field of entry hazards and Tar Terrain
Description: A bulky dragon dance Mon who if not checked can put a lot pressure on teams with strong stabs from its base 145 attack. It can circumvent Tar Terrain by using its signature move Flaming Flop. Flaming Flop can also clear the field of entry hazards as well on paper this move seems really strong so I decidied to balance it by giving it a pisspour accuracy of 70%. Overall I think this can be a very dangerous offensive pokemon
Flavor: As lizards continued get destroyed by dinosaurs they realized there was only one place where they could be safe the sea, This resulted in the devopment of arguably the best undersea predator in earth’s history the Mososaur, This pokemon wen’t through a very similar process to real life Mososaur‘s constantly being hunted by dinosaur pokemon but instead of taking the route of the sea to be safe it chose a more extreme option the lava of volcanos.

Descripton: This Mon is basically Mandibuzz Lite, A hard to break mixed defensive mon with decent physical stabs like Knock Off, Dual Wingbeat and strong special stabs in air slash and dark pulse. On top that it has Mandibuzz’s abilty to be a good pivot with U-Turn and it has neat ultily moves like Foul Play,Fake Tears, Parting Shot,Swagger and Taunt. It’s bulk allows it to check many dangerous physical attackers like Tyrantrum-Apex and Rampardos-Ancient . Overall I think I added a pokemon who can be a useful defogger and a useful dark type, Both type’s of pokemon that this format is sorely lacking in.
Flavor: This vicious Dino will pick fights with just about every one around it whether it be preadtor or prey it shows no mercy in battle often using cheap tactics to win it‘s fights. If any creature is unfortunate enough to try and prey on this pokemon‘s eggs it will viciously attack and kill them.

Descrpiton: A fast and dangerous physical attacker who if left unchecked can devastate opposing teams. With Sniper boosted attacks it can devastate opposing teams but it’s paper thin defenses as well having the worst defensive type in the game , makes it have zero defensive utilty give it a significant opportunity cost.
