Maybe I wasn't clear. Don't worry about it.
The trick is to save the game, and then hatch the egg (using a fast hatch or whatever), then check the IVs/shininess. If it's good, then you turn off the game, clone the egg, then hatch one of it on your game, and one on another game - and PRESTO - you have the same pokemon shiny and non-shiny. 2 for 1, as it were.
But don't worry about it this time. Just the 1 Goldeen will be fine.
