  • Yo. Thanks again for replying at the 5th gen RNG topic! I just got the Eon Timer, and I'm a bit lost. What do I do with Calibration?
I like the way Emloop sounds and also that it has that different tock sound at the end of the timer. It's so Japanese, lol.

Not saying you should copy Emloop. Just making conversation. :-)
I like the idea of a low pitch sound. A high pitch can be hard on the ears sometimes.
Yes, still working on it. Big job, cleaning up the earlier work to make them more standard with the later stuff. I see you made a Windows based timer. I downloaded it. Hopefully I will get a chance to use it later. :-)
Hi, Toast. Just popping in to say hello. :-) Hope all is well with you.
Hi, I have just downloaded the RNG 9.0 and there is the option find DS parameters, but didnt understand about it, for example there is a place where i can put the time, but what is that? when i turn the game on?catch a pokemon?press continue? oh and more 1 thing , the initial is the time to press continue x60? thanks^^
Alright, I'll just use my brother's DS Lite I guess until they find out the DSiXL.
One more question, is it just impossible to find the parameters of a DSi or can you use the 'other' option to try to find the parameters? Also what is that 'other' option used for on the RNG Reporter?
I've got a question about 5th Gen RNG because I don't understand how you will know what seed you hit when you try to find your DS' Parameters because you don't use your AR to find the parameters, or at least that's what I've heard.
that looks so great all finished up :3 I like how you faded the clock window, like frost. I'm glad I could help out!
^^' Well, I'm sure that with Eon's "tin" rather than pikatimer's "default windows sound" it'll take me considerably less time and I'll have more stable results, 6774 - 6308 - 6830 - 6768 wasn't fun at all. - Thank you very much! ^^
Just read your reply - I'll do some Soul Silver ID/SID abuse next week, I'll let you know how it goes!
I just thought it over: no need for 3 stages for ID/SID abuse in DPPt, or any game really. That's how I did to build the timer I used: 6774, 25 seconds past the minute, 1st stage had 25 seconds, 2nd stage had 120 seconds (two minutes) , my delays fluctuated 6774, 6776, 6772, 6770, 6778, and I had to set the time 2 minutes before my desired time. If I needed 6774 and 35, I would have to add 10 seconds to the 1st stage. It would have been nice not to need to calculate that by hand though, and if I could to fine adjustments to the timers to eliminate a bit of the delay-fluctuation.
Your timers are awesome! :D I'm testing Eon in Sinjoh Ruins, I hope to get an awesome Palkia :)
I hope any of it made sense, and I really don't know if anyone would be willing to deal with a 3 stage timer, two stages already are more than some could handle, but well, it's just theory. Pity visual and sound can run at the same time. But thanks for the amazing timers!
For usual RNG, it takes 14 seconds to get to the "continue" screen. For ID/SID abuse, there is no information on how much time it would take to reach the screen equivalent of the "continue" screen. I observed that for DPPt that the amount of time between the "leap into the world of pokemon" (going mini-me) and the final stage where the video sequence is "dismiss-able" is consistent, so MAYBE DPPt ID/SID abuse could be done with a 3 stage timer: 1st - synchronize clocks, 2nd - DS game screen to "leap into the word of pkm",3rd - video sequence lapse for necessary second delay.
Both Zong and Eon timer are very straight forward and easy to use. I like Eon better for the simple fact that I can save the settings. However, when I went for ID/SID abuse, I used pikaTimer because I could edit the timers by hand, ignoring the calibrated second and calibrated delay - so I guess maybe adding a free-timer tab where we can build our own two stage timer, if all else fails? And I would like to be able to use the sound and visual modes at the same time, it might help on those off days the delays are all over the place for no good reason...
    Indeed it is!

And thanks for the various RNG help. Going to work on getting a timid Celebi once the weekend arrives, and I need to minimize my ridiculous mistakes.
When I do that it downloads, but when I try to run it, it says: Windows cannot find <location of eontimer (I tried multiple location)>. Make sure you typed it in correctly. I didn't type anything in, I used Browse :/
When I click it, it refuses to open. Internet Explorer has usually given me trouble opening links, so i switched to Firefox
