I'm not 100% sure, but I think Ditto would be considered the male if breeding with a female parent, female if breeding with a male, and female if breeding with genderless.

Does Chatter ever reset, or do the speakers need to be on or anything? I couldn't figure out why I kept getting the same non shiny while egg breeding tonight, until I realized that my frame wasn't moving for some reason when chattering. I thought I was just missing my seed over and over until I checked the IVs and inheritance, and it seems I was still on frame 52 or something after I thought I had chattered 60 times. o.o Still not sure why.

If you trade all of your Chatots to another player, the Chatter needs to be re-acquired.
Is that the only situation where this would happen? :/ I haven't traded them. I'll fiddle with it some more in a bit and see what on earth is going on, but it's confusing the crap out of me.
If you put them in your PC that would also clear their calls.
Oh seriously? >.> Lol that would explain every problem I had today... I guess I should have just turned the sound on at some point and checked. Which I just did now that I can get on my DS again, and sure enough the calls were reset.

Are delays as difficult to hit in BW as they were in 4th gen? I haven't bothered with C-Gear abuse yet.
Okay, I just got a new computer and I'm trying to input my DS information into RNG Reporter without doing the catch a Pokemon process. The Mac address in greyed out in the 5th Gen parameter setup tab in the time finder.
Do I have to do the catch a Pokemon process reguardless, or is there a way to transfer those settings?

Go to the capture tab and change the method to Method 5 Standard Seed and then go back to the 5th gen parameter setup tab and you should be able to enter your MAC address.

Did you try entering the correct ID/SID in the main window, then closing RNG Reporter, then opening it again?
I know that the IVRNG frame is advanced by talking to the Pokémon in the Entralink, but is it also advanced during the "battles" (for lack of a better word - the encounter where you have a chance to throw a ball or run) like in regular battles?
If you talk and reject the battle from the Entralink pokemon, the IVRNG will advance 26 frames.
Right, but I'm wondering if you talk to, say yes, and "battle" one of the Pokémon, if frames are advanced during the "battle" since they are advanced at 120 frames per second in a normal battle.

What ID&SID combo makes the PID 1984945311 shiny?
I tried to RNG with the Shiny Egg finder a 31/31/31/31/31/31 male Scraggy (NOT SHINY) with Moxie.
So far, I haven't had any luck. I've searched the months of August, September & October entirely.
So I'm tried for a 31/31/31/x/31/31 Scaggy instead. I'm still getting nothing.
Changed Everstone Nature to Jolly. Still nothing.
Is this normal? It doesn't feel like it.

What are the IVs of your parents? If they don't have good IVs it might be hard to find a seed.
Also, how many keypresses are you searching for? If you're searching for 0, it's normal. Just go to the 5th gen. DS Parameters tab and change the keypresses to 3 or 2. Maybe even 1, but the more keypresses the more likely you'll find a seed.
