5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

How do you get the characteristics for the roamers to be displayed?

When you've generated spreads with Method 5 PIDRNG, right click the results and click "Display Parents in Search" (it doesn't matter that they're not eggs). A window will pop up that allows you to enter your target IVs.

Hi all, I see you added standard seed abuse for the DSi/3DS... I'm into RNG breeding using my DSlite, but I am curious to see how it works on my DSiXL. The only problem I'm running into is that the DSi has no second hand... is there any way around this? Or do I just need to count the seconds? Thanks for the great program!

As long as you select a new minute when changing the clock, the seconds will reset to 0. You can count the seconds from there.

For example, if you change the clock from 13:00 to 13:01, the time will change to 13:01:00. However, if you change the clock at 13:00:16 and don't change the minute, it will remain unchanged at 13:00:16. You'd have to go from 13:00 to 13:01 and then back to 13:00 to reset the seconds.

Guys, I have been followed Princess of Johto's guide for RNG abuse ID/SID but I could not get a right ID. Then I use the the seed finder part of PBox to find the seed but there is no seed coming out. Can anyone help me with this please?
I just want to RNG a shiny starter.

I'm currently doing this myself, here are a few things I've noticed that might help you. Of course, I could just be completely wrong!
Remember your timer0 fluctuates, try again and see what happens.
There's a box called "calculate min frame". When I untick it, I get a min frame of 28, but when ticked, I get 22. I don't know how this affects it.
Also, as I'm sure you'll know, you need to have one with "yes" in the starter column.
One last note. If you're not abusing your IDs, I'd recommend you do, if you're looking to RNG. I've got a great combo here with very low IV and Shiny frames.
Hope some of this helps. If it doesn't I should have figured it out soon, so message me :)

Still nothing about Italian 3DS?

If you have a 3DS and an Italian version, you can help out. We just need volunteers for all the language versions to get some data for us.

[1] Choose a DS date\time to start the game from. You must use this same date\time for every step.
[2] Select "New Game".
[3] Begin the process of starting a new game, up to the point you can open the menu. (Obviously, do not save at any point.)
[4] When Professor Juniper asks you a Yes\No question right after you input your nickname, choose YES. (Choosing NO even once at this point means you will have to start again from step 1.)
[5] Look at your new Trainer Card and record the trainer ID.
[6] Repeat steps 1-5, but when Juniper asks you Yes\No after the nickname, say NO once to go back to the nickname screen, then say YES. Record the trainer ID that results. (Do this several times because Timer0 will give you several different IDs.)
[7] Repeat step 6, but this time say NO twice before saying YES. Record the trainer ID that results. (Do this several times because Timer0 will give you several different IDs.)
[8] Repeat step 7, but this time say NO three times before saying YES. Record the trainer ID that results. (Do this several times because Timer0 will give you several different IDs.)
[9] Enter the four IDs into this program, in the order you obtained them.
[10] Start the game at the DS date\time you chose. (Be sure you saved in an area with wild Pokemon, preferably a cave.)
[11] Select "Continue". Catch the first Pokemon you encounter and record its IVs. (Do this several times because Timer0 will give you several different sets of IVs.) Input these IVs into the program.

Obviously, you won't have the program, so you can just give the IDs and IVs to us, and we'll figure things out. This won't be easy, so your help would be greatly appreciated. This is what we would do with it:

We would need to try all the combinations of IDs and IVs you got to figure out your exact initial seed. Once you we have that, we can figure out RNGing for the Italian version you test with. Come on IRC sometime, we'll help you through it.

Thanks for the tips. I figure it out and succeed with a shiny timid snivy XD

I started to RNG a non-shiny flawless Heracross and came up with these results in the RNG reporter.

The Ditto has flawless IVs and the Heracross has unknown IVs but i'm supposed to get a flawless baby Heracross if I hit my seed.

I go into the game, hit my seed and then take the egg. I then fly to victory road to catch a wild pokemon to see if I hit my seed. I catch a Woobat and I check its IVs. I go to the main window and change it to Standard seed and I paste my seed. The Woobat's IVs match up to Frame 14 as shown in the below link.

So that would mean that I hit the see right? ( I'm not sure)

I then hatch the egg finding its IV's to be 31/31/6/6/31/31 not the flawless one that I am supposed to get. It was a quiet nature matching up to PIDRNG frame in the below link.

So what did I do wrong? Thanks for any help.

Min Frame should be >=60 that sets the Min/Max for the PIDRNG not the IVRNG

Checking at Victory Road only tells you if you hit the seed. It's still possible that you miscounted your Chatot calls, or the NPCs messed you up, or something like that.

Well I did what Victini said and I'm still not getting a Flawless Heracross even though I've checked in Victory Road and the IVs of the pokemon I catch match Frame 14.

Well for now, all I'm doing is trying to hit my seed and immediately checking. I get the results but the eggs never hatch to be flawless.

Thanks so much for the RNG Reporter update, Omega Donut! I'm glad the shiny egg finder can now search for non-shiny egg seeds.

I'm hoping there will be some way to determine whether a shadow/cave spot will be an item or battle soon! :D

The inheritance from the parents is determined by the PIDRNG, so unless the seed and both parents are hexflawless, you probably won't get the right IVs unless you hit the right PID frame.

So let me try to understand this.

First I would try to hit my seed and pick up the egg.
then I would check the ivs of the pokemon I catch.
if they match frame 14, I would hatch the egg.
Then I check the nature/gender and try to match it up to "breeding bw" in the main screen.
then I calculate my new starting frame and advance accordingly.

Sound right? Thanks for all your help.

Right. You can also go to the subway judge and check if the 31's match up with what you would be getting on that frame.

With no Chatot calls, it'll usually be starting about 4-6 frames after the initial frame RNG Reporter gives you.
