I finally got the right parameters (because of a post someone made about the 3DS being off by several seconds. thank you, whomever that was) and now I'm trying to get a near-perfect Landorus. I've tried four times and haven't even gotten one better than "decent potential". Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
1. I set the clock on my 3DS to the correct minute, then select "Ok" right at the beginning of the next minute on my clock.
2. I exit out of the Settings menu and put the cursor on Pokemon Black.
3. At the correct amount of seconds on the clock, I select Black and boot the game.
Am I supposed to turn the whole system off or something?

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that it was a timer0 troll. You should really repeat your parameters searches several times, because in B/W your timer0 flickers between two different values (more in B/W2).
You should go do some more parameter tests before you start fully RNGing.

Are the same PIDs available on multiple seeds (and accordingly with different IVs)? Also, since IVs and PIDs are now separate, when you RNG your ID/SID, is it the PID that comes with a "shiny pair?"

Ah, I see what you mean now. PID and nature aren't related in 5th gen (in fact, if your target frame is Synch/Everstone, you can get any nature with that PID), so that concept doesn't exist.
I have a huge problem. I'm taking my first crack at Entralink RNGing, but I'm having some trouble finding my calibrated delay, so I used the default delay on Eontimer, but that didn't work. So can someone please explain to me how to find my calibrated delay?

i've done regular bw2 rng a bunch of times, so i know how troublesome the timer0 can be. but even during regular rng, i never matched up the PID; i could only rng using synchronizers to get the required nature.
typing the seed from the time finder into rng reporter always spat out incorrect natures. unless i'm doing something wrong.
if other people can abuse the PID, then i must be making a mistake somewhere.
should also point out that i was very efficient at rnging on bw, so i know the basics behind the system.

I had an awful lot of trouble with EonTimer while doing my first entralink RNG. At first, I found that I'd either get the correct seconds but was off on the delay, or I'd get the correct delay but was off on the seconds.
Eventually I found how to change the "Calibration" and "EL Calibration" fields myself, without relying on the Delay Hit and Second Hit boxes to change it for me, because they seem to be bugged or whatever.
First of all, I found that I would generally hit my seconds if I set the EL Calibration to 356 or there abouts. It's a good starting point, and you can take it from there. If you do Target Seconds - Seconds Hit * 60, you'll find what to add to your EL Calibration number to get closer to it.
For the Calibration field, you'll need to do some testing. Start off with whatever value you decided upon or were told to put in and do a test run. Then, do Target Delay - Delay hit you should find out what to add to your Calibration number. Add that, then do another test run. You should be closer, just keep tweaking the number until you're about +- 1 or 2 of your target delay.
When RNGing for eggs, do you advance the frame inside the daycare to avoid interference from NPCs, or do you have to be outside and walking around in the grass to do it? Also, what is the best method to advance the frame in this situation? Does the 128 steps with X amount of pokemon trick work for eggs?

To be completely honest, I don't see why you could possibly need to advance the IVRNG at all with breeding, what with all the options available to you. As for the PIDRNG, you do that via Chatot Chatters or saving, but Chatot Chatters are really the only viable ones because you need to minimise the effect of walking NPCs. As such, you need to stand outside the daycare man so you can talk to him as quickly as possible when required.
I've been RNGing on the same DS for 6 months encountering no problems whatsoever: few timer0 fluctuations since I don't use held buttons, usually hatching perfect pokemon on my first try.
But it's 2 days since either my ds or my game have gone crazy.
I find my seed with time finder like usual but I can't find my SSF in sequence at all! I even get the same pokemon many times but it's not in the list of PIDs!
I have tried everything to get this fixed: re-calibrated my ds, changed pokemon, changed seed but it just DOESN'T WORK and this is really weird since I've been hatching pokemon with no problem for six months.
- Using RNG Reporter 9.95 Beta
- Trying to capture Timid Thundurus, 31/31/31/31/31/30 (HP Ice 70)
- Target seed is 0AFB455D3A7ECD3E, target frame may be 340. DS MAC Address is 001AE90FD793.
- Timer0 is C7E
- Date: 8/13/12; Time is 18:28:11; Button Presses: X
So I go into the main window of RNG Reporter and paste the seed in, set method at Gen 5 PIDRNG, encounter type to Roaming Pokemon, and starting frame at 260 (the result was in winter, before I started I thought August was spring but w/e). I click Generate, then actually go into the game and try to calculate my shifted starting frame (SSF).
I did it four times without advances, here's what I got:
1. Impish, Quick Tempered (Frame 302)
21/29/10-11/21/6/6 (result with 10 def is same as 11)
2. Sassy, Often dozes off (Frame 308)
31/31/31/31/31/30
3 and 4. Same as 1
What I keep hitting has no flawless IVs, but that would mean that I missed hitting my seed. That seems very improbable to me, because the seed is so easy to hit. I just hold down the X button, press 'A' when it's time to load the game from the DS menu, let go of X at the GF logo, and go into the game world. I do it the same way every time.
The wierd part is when I search characteristics, every nature has the 'Quick Tempered'. But when I did it the second time (Sassy), each nature had a different characteristic. I haven't disregarded 302 because I keep getting it, so that must be the SSF.
From 302, the first result for Timid is on 340, so that means 38 advances.
When I thought it was time to advance the frame, I start the game, do 38 chatot calls, then go and catch Thundurus. The first time with advancing I forget (I know it was flawless, wrong nature, Mischeivous). The second time with advancing the frame I got the exact same result as I usually do when I don't do advances!
I'm pretty sure I remembered to include every bit of info. What am I missing? I'm obviously doing something wrong, and I don't think another round of advancing the frames is going to get me the right result.
EDIT: When I first did calibration for BW RNG over a year ago, I remember the Timer0 fluctuated between C7E and C7F. But I set Timer0 min/max to C7E for all of my RNGs, and I always get things right. Is it possible that Timer0 fluctuation is going on in this? The reason I thought of it is because some people in this thread say that's what's messing them up, but seeing as how I've never had Timer0 problems before, that doesn't seem likely to be the problem, but it might be.

If you got the wrong IVs, you didn't hit your seed. Disregard those results, they won't help you at all (that seed will always be Quick-Tempered regardless of PID, since only one IV is highest).
Also, your SSF is going to be much higher than that. I'd look at a minimum of 550 or so.

Yeah, the disassociation between the two is why I was asking.
Is there any way to find an IV seed that has more than 1 good IV spread (i.e. a 31/31/31/31/31/31 and 31/30/30/31/31/31 HP Ice)? In B/W2, I'm really only going to use my RNG'd ID/SID to catch shiny legendaries (due to the broken breeding system and shiny prevention checks on Hidden Hollows and Dream Radar Pokémon), so since ability and gender don't matter for them, I can RNG for a shiny PID on that seed and get it with any nature thanks to the Everstone.
It's incredibly unlikely that you'd find a single seed with two good IV spreads on reasonable frames. Just search for other seeds, it's really not that big a deal.
Sorry, but what exactly do you mean? Are you saying that after I RNG for a shiny PID on a seed with 1 good IV spread, I should look for that PID on another seed that has a different IV spread I want?
So after inputting my desired IVs, nature (and selecting my Synchronize nature), and ID/SID into the Time Finder, I just click "Generate" like normal? Isn't it highly unlikely that I will get any shiny results?
This is, of course, assuming I RNG'd my ID/SID for a different shiny.

Just because you RNGed your ID/SID for a particular shiny doesn't mean you wouldn't be able to find other suitable ones as well. You'll probably have to search over a long period of time, but you should find the results you're after eventually.
