5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

Ok...this is the easy part.

ALL wild captures start on Frame 3.(This includes stationaries).
ALL eggs start on Frame 10.

Period.

Yes I know that, but Roamer generation is different, isn't it ? That's what I asked clarification for: the initial frame for this being 2, does this make the minimum frame for roamers 4 instead of 3 for wild captures ?

Is my math right?
Frame 9
9-3-1 + 1 = 6 (with 3 pokemons) 6/3 = 2
2* 128 = 256
Also, if i'm done calibrating and i start advancing the frames and such and checking the ivs to see what delays i have, shouldn't i be able to figure out what delay i hit? Because i'm getting No matching IVS found.

Is RNG Reporter 9 Beta 2 on the front page the current release? If not, which one, and where is it? Could someone provide a link, perhaps? I'm sorry for asking, but the forum is moving slower than a Relaxed and paralyzed Shuckle.

I need to know because I'm in the 4th/5th Generation Time Finder window, and the only two selectable versions in the dropdown menu are the Japanese versions of Black and White. I'm wondering if a later release has the English versions selectable. Does this even matter?

That is actually the current release and it supports the English versions even though it only provides a Japanese only selection. Oh and i agree about the site moving painfully slow

Who can tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I'm calibrating with my AR now, and for some reason I can't hit ANY delay >_> My wanted delay is 7401, and I'm searching within a range of -7401/+9999 and with a second range of 0. A few hours ago, I got calibrated to a delay at +1, so I kept the values in my timer. After that, I thought well I'll just try again, and from that moment, I can't hit any delay. What am I doing wrong?

I haven't made any frame advancements. Anyone?

When you are first calibrating to hit your seed, you need to encounter that CobalionZekromPokemon immediately after turning on the C-Gear. You can't do any frame advancements beforehand or else RNG Reporter's Seed to Time won't find the IVs that you get. Once you have your timer calibrated, only then should you start making any frame advancements.

I'm still trying to understand the difference between breeding in 4th Gen and breeding in 5th Gen. Why power items are needed now and what makes it difficult where you can't find a seed like 31 / A / 31 / B / 31 / 31 and use that like you used to.

Okay, guys. Got another one. In searching for your seed in the Time Finder, what would be an advisable value to put for Max Frame? What about the year or the minimum delay?

Correct.

Yeah i know but i said i was done calibrating but every time i frame advanced and checked the iv's of the target pokemon, it would not be on the list. I decided to change my target frame, i picked one that didn't require me frame advancing and that worked out for me. Thanks though

Max Frame of 20-50, depending on how many steps you can stand, and delay range of 1500-6000.

The main reason for that as of right now is that it's taking longer for the people behind RNG Reporter to completely figure it out compared to the method that we can currently use.

*facepalm* -.- Go read it again. And make sure that you actually understand everything that it says, not just the first part of the first sentence.

In the past the PID controlled the IVs, nature, shinieness, ability, and gender. In 5th gen it only controls the nature, shiniensss, ability, and gender. So, shinieness and IVs are separate, so any IV combo you have can be obtained with shinienss.

Finally got my hands in that Cobalion bastard that insisted on escaping my target delay.

I've wasted a whole day trying to hit 3135, just to be able to hit 3134 and 3136 lots of times before I finally managed to hit that one.

Luckily, got the right nature on the first try.
