The previous response is incorrect. Paradox mons are NOT legal concepts. They can only be considered under a framework project. We have not had a framework this generation, so there has not been an avenue to entertain the idea.Ooh, interesting. What was the submission at the time, just for reference?

Nothing is confirmed. This is the last decision made from the PRC thread: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/frameworks-and-cap-35.3748104/post-10231956Speaking of frameworks, did we confirm we are dropping those entirely, or will there be one for the final CAP of each generation?
Do we have the art or sprite runner-ups for old CAPs archived anywhere?
Practically speaking it is the same thing. That said, "wall with a counterintuitive typing" is not CAP 35's concept, rather we have a "superconcept" to a lot of others chosen here. CAP 35's concept is simply that one element of the mon must conflict heavily with its role, which is not a concept that has been submitted before, even if it practically encompasses a lot of other CAP concepts. Because "one element must conflict with its role" is not something we can really do without defining what the element is and what the role is, we had a vote on what pairing to choose, and ended up with role + counterintuitive typing.I don't think the actual CAP building thread is the right place to ask this, hopefully this is.
What makes the "wall with a counterintuitive type" concept assessment distinct from the original Mollux concept?
Yes! They are in the enCAPlopedia. Check the final product part, the concepts are there.Does anyone know if there's a simple list of each of the concepts or a table of each concept used for each CAP?
I want to catchup for the next CAP if I want to come up with a concept!
Thankyou, the final products have a name but not a description, is there anywhere that has both together without going back into the concepts for each winner?Yes! They are in the enCAPlopedia. Check the final product part, the concepts are there.
I am guessing you are reading some past CAPs, and the process was not standarized yet. Modern ones have the name and concept in the final product.Thankyou, the final products have a name but not a description, is there anywhere that has both together without going back into the concepts for each winner?
Hi ! Can someone clarify what is meant by the following statement, which appears at the beginning of the thread:
"Your game cannot be affiliated with another established online Pokémon community"?
Is it ok if the game I'm making contains fakemon from others fangames too ?
I wouldn't want to do anything wrong :]
something you don't need to worry about too much; stands for "International Phonetic Alphabet" and it's linguistic nerds trying to ascribe symbols ala alphabets to every sound in every language ever. This is so that someone who is familiar with it but not a language knows how to "properly" pronounce any given word and is useful for languages like English where the letter "a" can be read six-seven different ways based on context. In name submissions, what is IPA exactly?
https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/np-sv-cap-stage-2-heart-of-glass-hemogoblin-nerf.3739282/When did Hemogoblin lose bitter blade and was there a thread discussing it? I don't see it in the post play lookback 2 thread
yesRegarding the ranked pair voting method, if there are four options and someone votes for A, B, and C, do you count one vote each for A > D, B > D, and C > D?
Could I get some clarification on what, exactly, the part in bold means? Because I'd like to include some CAP mons in my game but a lot of them seem like they wouldn't be very balanced in game based on the more in-game relevant information like Protowatt evolving 5 levels earlier thatn Magikarp despite A) being actually usable in battle and B) Krillowatt having the same BST as the Tapu and Ultra Beasts, even if it's mostly in HP and speed, so I would like to up its evolution level in the game to about 25 or so. Would that be allowed? You can use CAP pokemon for your game, if you wish. But you must observe the following stipulations:
Many people have created artworks, ROM hacks, video fighting games, and other interesting offshoot projects using our characters. If you get something interesting together, please let me know and perhaps we can cross-link from here to your project. Good luck!
- Your game cannot be affiliated with another established online pokemon community
- Credit the "Create-A-Pokemon Project", and provide links to our website, located here: http://www.smogon.com/cap/
- Your representation of our characters must be consistent with the names, design elements, and overall themes of the characters as defined on the CAP website and CAP forum
To answer your last paragraph, at the end of the day, unless if the leader sets a BST limit, the community can decide what the BST will be because stats have to be picked based on BSR limits (Tankiness/Sweepiness factors), and on average, the community likes having Pokémon with high enough stats that fit the criteria LOLCompletely unrelated to the above, is there any particular reason why so many CAPs have such high BSTs? I get that you want them to be strong and useful but there's 16 CAPs with between 550 and 599 BST, none of which AFAIK are meant to be particularly special, compared to 8 real, non-special pokemon of which 1 is Archeops who has Defeatist and 1 is Volcarona which is about as special as you can get without actually being special, and there's a couple of min-maxed CAPs just outside 550 who don't particularly care about the min maxing and so might as well be 550+
