Well Manaphy won't have the benefit of permanent rain in OU. Blissey and Latias are listed as counters, and they're OU (though Latias doesn't get Soul Dew in OU)

I do not see that as a perfect answer considering subcm/tG beats blissey and latias without soul dew doesn't work as easily on manaphy. =/

So can anyone give a real answer such as a set which counters Manaphy?

You could try to Taunt that same Pokemon and see it Nature Power still works. If it doesn't, Nature Power is then seen as a non-attacking move.

Good idea! I'll go check via wireless and edit this post with the results. I would assume that since Sucker Punch failed, Nature Power will be blocked by Taunt.

Edit: Taunt prevents the use of Nature Power.

@S1edge Hammer: I had a nice long post all written out, but I accidentally closed the page while switching between tabs =/. Basically, it went like this: Pokemon are counterable based on what set they are running. Garchomp vs. Latias is a great example, since Haban Chomp is OHKOed by Specs Draco Meteor, but if Garchomp is running a scarf set, Latias will be OHKOed by Outrage first.

Manaphy is similar. As mentioned by Kachalski, CM/Specs Latias is a great counter. I had a bunch of calcs all done (I was just about to put in one more number and then it would be ready to post =/ ) that showed that Timid 252 SpA EVs Latias always 2KOes with 2 Draco Meteors or 2 Thunderbolts (+1 Draco Meteor has a shot at an OHKO, even without SR), whereas Modest Manaphy does ~42% - 49% back with Ice Beam. +2 Ice Beam can only KO if Latias has taken prior damage. Therefore Latias almost always wins, unless it switches into Ice Beam and Manaphy is scarfed, or Manaphy is packing a lot of Special Defense EVs, but that goes back to the previous paragraph.
Edit2: The response about Latias countering Manaphy was based on the 3-2 suspect metagame. We may not have Latias and/or Manaphy in standard OU once the vote is complete. Figured I should put that little message in there.

Technically, a CM Latias is the best you can get, but Specs Jolt KO's all but CM Manaphy, as does Magnezone.

According to Bulbapedia Nature Power is a status move. You should be able to verify this in game. I'm pretty sure Taunt stops all such moves.

This is probably an obvious question, but I can't find it on google. Can pokemon with egg moves from HG/SS be traded to Diamond, Pearl, or PLatinum? Im assuming no, right?

They can, but you can't breed HG/SS moves in DPPt. It's sort of like having event pokemon with special moves, like Spaciel Rend Darkrai.

TheForgottenSoul: Yes

raider8: Because people aren't using them much. According to the analyses, Umbreon's just not as solid as some of the other OU walls. Rhyperior is very powerful but very slow. It's special defense is low, and couple that with 4x water and grass weaknesses mean even Solid Rock isn't saving it.

Rhyperior could do great in a trick room team.

Because their usage is low enough to put them into the UU tier.

I thought that they were once OU ( if I remember correctly) and just viewed them and saw that they were UU which really surprised me, especially on Umbreon. Is it just because of low usage or is it statwise too?

If I kill Palkia in Pearl and beat the Elite 4 does it respawn?
Does this work with other legends? List the ones that do and don't.

Reposting for the sixth time...sigh...

What factors are there in the game that will only work if your ID number is a certain number?

The only ones I know of are:
1. Platinum: Skull Fossils are only findable in the Underground if your ID# is even(?) and Armor Fossils are only findable if your ID# is odd(?). I may have even/odd switched on this.
2. Emerald: Different people appear in the Mauville City Pokemon Center and will do different things depending on your ID#. A girl east of Fortree City will give you a different berry depending on your ID#. This may apply to R/S too, I'm not sure.

What other factors are there?

Note that I'm not referring to things like the Lottery, shiny Pokemon, etc. since those can happen regardless of what your ID# is.
(If any factors like this exist for RBYGSC, I'd like to know also. However, I'm pretty sure there aren't any.)

They do not. In any game. After all, there must a purpose for saving the game before facing legendary Pokémon. This has been a common practice since R/B/Y.
They do in Platinum, you know. Which makes me wonder how exactly people figured that out.

You haven't been getting any answers because there aren't any. The Emerald things you mentioned were also in R/S, just so you know.

How do you read your rating?

i.e. for:
Conservative rating estimate: 1400
Rating: 1500-1640
Volatility: 0.06

what is my rating and other stuff?

Doesn't matter when EV training is done, so long as it's done before Level 100, where it becomes impossible to properly EV train a Pokemon. Whether it's done at level 1 or 94 in no way changes the end results, as EVs are only fully applied when a Pokemon reaches Level 100.

Actually EV training can be done after level 100; if a pokemon's EVs have been adjusted at any time, putting it in the PC will adjust its stats to match the changes.
