If you run hp fire on a latias, how may speed Evs should you give it (both scarf and non-scarf.) You are not going to be able to tie with fellow base 110s, so I suppose you may as well go for extra bulk, or run modest?

In the past have I run just enough EVs to outspeed Infernape. That only gives you an extra 4 HP iirc. I don't think it's really worth it. You might as well just run max speed anyways to tie with other Latias and Gengar who are using HP [Fire]. If you are running a defensive set, what you outrun is really up to you.
You can use the OU speed tiers to help determine what speed you want. Just compare it to the speed in you team builder.

If I actually remember the questions I've wanted to ask here while lurking, do I ask them in a new post or edit them into this one?

EDIT: just thought of one, going to do this until I get an answer. I have never done anything with Shoddy. The last time I battled anyone but the game's AI was on the original Pokémon Stadium (original English one, anyways). If I make any Theorymon posts, will I be dismissed out of hand, or only if I try to pass myself off as an authority (instead of saying something like "To me, it seems like...")?

I made plenty of theorymon posts, from having read a fair amount of the analyses, before I'd actually played on shoddy (It took me a few tries to figure out how to use the thing). You'll get called out sometimes, but not that often if what you say is basically sensible.

What other pokemon would complement this team?

Lead Swampert w/Protect
Life Orb+3 attacks Latias
Sub-CM Suicune (defensive spread)
Resttalk Machamp
DD Salamence w/Fire Blast.

The only legitimate ways to obtain good IVs are:

RNG manipulation, which is the easiest
Conventional breeding, which is very time consuming
Repeated capturing, which is also very time consuming

Any IVs can obviously be had with an Action Replay or by using Pokesav. However, Pokemon thus obtained may only be used in battles where you state that you are using 'legal hacks'. If you use them without saying that, you are cheating. Pokemon obtained by cheating device may not be offered for trade on Smogon.

is there any easier way to get good IV's because honestly you need to be a math matician to understand this RNG stuff?

Honestly I'm pretty poor at math and it surprised me how easy it is. The RNG guide REALLY helps, along with the RNG Reporter program. The math is all done for you, all you need to do is some cosmetic stuff like using your Coin Flip App and estimating when to start your game, journal flipping, etc.

A stable core for me is Scizor / Latias / Machamp, so try a couple of Scizor sets out.

Also, just because it got lost:

A Question of my own. How many Attack EVs can I sacrifise off of a Flame Orb SD Heracross, while maintaining the KO's (Or only loosing 1 or 2). I'm currently using 252.

First of all, you can't expect your question to e answered straight away, and reposting it 2 hours later is just going to annoy people.

On your team, it is fairly weak to setup sweepers, especially DD Mence, with no Dragon resist, it can just rip through your team. I suggest a Scarfrachi, and a CB Scizor.

Are Dusk Balls supposed to have a better effect on Dark typed pokemon? I ask because I was catching Smeargles at night in my Diamond, in Acuity Lakefront, and in the first turn I False Swipe'd the heck out of them, then threw quick balls or Dusk balls. Most quick balls would actually fail, 3 or even 4 times (consuming all 5 first turns). However, the Dusk Balls never failed, even once. Tried too many times for it to be a simple coincidence.

Iirc, Dusk Balls work best at night or caves.

Well yes, they work better, to a total of 4x catch rate, compared to 1x at day, which is the same rate than a quick ball in the first 5 turns. It should never have been any better than a quick ball, which is the reason for my question.

Is it possible to reset the game various times to obtain Magic Guard in a clefable in case it keeps its cute charm? (Clefairy migrated from emerald)

Oh ok. I see what you're saying. I'm not sure then.

No. There is a bit in the Pokemon's data that serves no purpose in RSFRLGE, but is used to represent which ability in DPPt. That bit remains unchanged when you Pal Park. You will have to get a completely new Clef*

This is probably the stupidest/n00biest thing I've ever asked,
but can a pokemon learn any move it would learn at a different level?
For example, could a metagross bread in plat learn Meteor Mash as a egg move?

Metagross is a bad example.

In the case of gendered Pokemon, the baby will have a level-up move if both the mother AND the father know it, and the baby can learn it.
The baby will have a TM move if the father knows it and the baby can learn it; this still holds for moves that are also learnt by level-up.

Genderless pokemon cannot get ANY sort of egg moves without using the Japanese breeding glitches.

I'm not sure if it works like this for breeding with Ditto, but with other Pokemon (both of same species), if both parents know a level-up move, the Pokemon will be born knowing that move.

Does not work with Ditto, the requirement of both parents knowing the level-up move is not met that way.
