Who is a reliable stealth rocker that doesn't run as a lead and can help the team outside of stealth rock.

I'm creating a new team, that so far consists of

Scarftran - Lead
Vaporeon
Calm Mind Celebi

I don't know how well swampert would work, considering I run vappy.

I don't know how well bronzong would work, since I can't seem to find a use for him other than setting up SR. I don't like screens.

I'm considering Aggron, but I've heard he doesn't fare well in OU.
Actually, I think Swampert is exactly what you're looking for if you want a reliable SR, and he can also support the team, especially with Roar shuffling. Adding Swampert to your team would also complete the "CelePertTran" defensive core.

Swampert and Vappy are actually quite good together as well, since Swampert is neutral to Water and Vaporeon absorbs it (as well as Grass Knots aimed at Pert) and Swampert can absorb the Electric attacks in return.

So apparently Salamence got banned ...

Where's the official thread that said that? I can find only a thread saying which members are on the Smogon council, and a thread that says "Salamence is Uber, what happens to the OU metagame?", but no thread that says "Smogon council has deliberated and voted Salamence uber 6-2" or anything like that. Anyone know?

Trying to train a drapion, I can't decide what skorupi to use, looking for any help! The 2 I have are...

1. Female-Careful
IV's-HP/30 Atk/22 Def/31 SpA/25 SpD/29 Spd/22

2. Male-Careful
IV's-HP/30 Atk/29 Def/31 SpA/31 SpD/22 Spd/24

Basically, is the +7 in Atk and +2 in Spd worth the -7 in SpD?

I'd go with #2, since its already a +SpD nature, and #1 will have more stat points total.

Right at the bottom of the forum, there is a forum called "Policy Review." Inside that forum is a subforum called "Suspect Test Voting Site." The voting thread is in there:

One person still hasn't voted yet, but it's clear that Salamence is Uber from the results.

Worth keeping? I am using it for a personal project testing a new set. It's not for trade.

I know this is UU, but...

Why on Earth does Ambipom NOT run Double Hit? Technician and Stab boost each hits power to over 75 each hit.

Double Hit is only marginally better than Return in terms of base power. With Technician and STAB, Double Hit gets 157.5, while Return gets 153 power. Double Hit also has the ability to break substitutes, but 90 accuracy is surprisingly unreliable. You can run it if you want.

where can I post ideas for a pokemon moveset I have for disscussion? I tried posting in CAP but i got an infraction point for that. Is there anywhere?

i've noticed this several times, and i can't figure out how this happens...

example 1: i was ev training my munchlax by making it hold an EXP share; and my meowth beat a slowpoke with payday, and the exp gets divided up, but the meowth gets 142 exp, whereas the munchlax gets 126 exp

both pokes are from trades, and the meowth is not holding any items...so, why does this happen?

example 2: my meowth beat a lv2 pidgey and a lv3 pidgey, and then i had my munchlax & pachirisu (which are also from trades) do the exact same thing; and then i had a poke that is not from a trade do it

meowth
lv2 - 25xp
lv3 - 39xp

pachirisu
lv2 - 22xp
lv3 - 34xp

munchlax
lv2 - 22xp
lv3 - 34xp

lucario (not from a trade)
lv2 - 15xp
lv3 - 23xp

bakame:

That's because the Meowth comes from a different language version than the other traded Pokemon.

Edit: The bonus multiplier if a Pokemon is a traded Pokemon from a different language version than the other traded Pokemon seems to be 1.7, as compared to 1.5 for a traded Pokemon from the same language version.

OK, does the GTS cloning glitch work in HGSS and does it damage the save file (just confirming, I'm pretty sure it'll be fine)?

And if I breed a female Sneasel with a male Smeargle (who knows Ice Punch, Ice Shard and Low Kick), would I get all three as egg moves? Essentially, can Low Kick be passed down, because it's a Tutor attack and all...?

Well, yea, the Sneasel would have Ice Punch and Ice Shard as eggmoves. (I'm not entirely sure about this). Low Kick I'm not sure about

However, you could just level up the Sneasel until it learns Ice Shard, then evolve it and teach it Ice Punch. Tutor it Low Kick, and voila, :O

Can somone tell me what level of knowledge is covered in the Tutor/Apprentice Program. Is it the very basics? or does it cover more advanced things?

No, pretty sure about both the Ice moves, but I want to breed all of them on because I don't want to waste any more time than necessary playing at the BT to rack up BP XP

Move tutor moves aren't passed down like egg moves and TM moves, so you'll have to teach your Sneasel Low Kick after you hatch it.

Indragon:

Other than Sneasel and Weavile, only Delibird and Smeargle are compatible with Sneasel and can have both Ice Punch and Ice Shard. Unfortunately, though, Delibird learns both moves only as egg moves and requires a Sneasel and/or Weavile with both moves.

Low Kick is a move tutor move and isn't an egg move.
