RNGing is also comparable to EV Training and breeding in general for better IVs. It is using a game mechanic for your advantage.

Look at how much easier breeding for specific IVs and natures has become with the use of items. That is purely a competitive aspect that the makers are recognizing and helping with.

Does anybody have a good EV spread for a Jellicent? Mine has a relaxed nature, for use in TR. I've already trained 252 HP EVs. Should I just split the two defenses? Any help would be appreciated.

My spreads of jellicent are usually on the offensive side. with that in mind, i would recommend not splitting the defenses and invest a bit in special attack. the defensive stat you chose just depends on what threats you're worried about, although most threats to jellicent are on the special side. chandelure can do serious damage to jellicent, so keep that in mind.

I would just go with a 252 HP/252 Sp. Atk. No need to be original and try out defensive EVs when we know that a 252 HP/252 Sp. Atk works. I would just go with 252 HP/252 Sp. Atk.

So would you say that 252 HP/252 Sp. Atk is the absolutely best ev spread for jellicent? Because Im not sure you said it enough.

I mean you could add a few to Sp.Defense while putting the remaining HP EVs in defense.

Also, does anyone have a beat up Cottonee/Whimsicott?

No, no I think I need to say it a few more times. But yeah, I think 252 HP/252 Sp. Atk is the absolutely best Ev spread for a Jellicent. So yeah, that'y why I think a 252 HP/252 Sp. Atk would be the most viable option.

does anybody know if anybody has the battles of today have been uploaded to youtube?

EDIT: Youtube, specifically. I have a very akward wi-fi setup that I'm far too lazy to set up right now, lol

Battle video of Unreality's Finals is up on the GTS. Just search for battle competition and you might find some battles there. His entire team was named after pastry.

What pokemon could I use in my two reserve spots to most discourage the use of Amoongus or Trick Room in general? I was previously thinking about dumping TerraCotta back there to give people the entirely wrong idea about my team, but I wouldn't mind discouraging a particular annoyance, if possible.

Modest Imprison Chandelure with Overheat and Trick Room can stop Trick Room from going up and OHKO Amoonguss with Overheat.

VGC 2011 Chandelure Question

So, I'm trying to get a Chandelure for my VGC 2011 team. I wanted to have it timid, EV'd in Speed and Special Attack, as opposed to having it on a trick room team. So I go into the Celestial Tower, and immediately catch a timid litwick. Stats are as follows: LVL 28 HP 72 ATT 21 DEF 40 SP ATT 47 SP DEF 44 SPEED 17. The problem is, when I plug those stats into an IV calculator, I get 0-2 for speed. Do I have an exceptionally slow Litwick, or is that just from Litwick's ridiculously low speed? And what do you think I should do? Ev train for speed, or Trick Room?
Thanks!
- Ian

TR or Anti-TR are the best options. Oh, and yes you have an exceptionally slow Litwick, so use that to your advantage.

And, is RNG breeding banned for VGC 2011? As in, if I RNG breed my Pokemon for nature and IVs will they get removed?
Just to confirm this, all of my team had at least 5 perfect IVs (except for the two with Hidden Power, which had 30s as necessary), and all but Tornadus were shiny, and I passed the hack check with no problems.
