Looks like red card activating on a mon fainting from destiny bond in vgc2017 makes the player unable to select a move.

The opposing Gengar used Destiny Bond!
The opposing Gengar is hoping to take its attacker down with it!
Tapu Lele used Taunt!
The opposing Mimikyu fell for the taunt!
Ninetales used Blizzard!
[Opposing Mimikyu's Disguise!]
Its disguise served it as a decoy!

My phione used rain dance to get rid of toxic, but I still took 13% damage due to the second turn of toxic damage. My opponent was even so nice as to help me see if I'd take a third turn of toxic damage.

If you look into the HTML of the replay, it shows a negative number for the target of that last Bug Bite which indicates that you targeted your ally slot by mistake. Those error messages are a mystery to me, though.

I've been having a problem with the monotype teir. I made a mono flying type team composed of: Landorus-T, Charizard (holding charizardite X), Minior, Zapdos, ninjask, and Toucannon. It's keeps insisting that my team doesn't share a type, the problem is solved when I take away charizard's Mega stone but I shouldn't have to do that for it to be validated.

both base forms and megas also have to share a type w/ the team in gen 7, zardx is only useable on fire teams

Did you have any moves that werent status? If not, thats why; if you would automatically default to struggle, the battle screen doesnt come up, and you cannot use a z-move or mega evolve.
 
hi, i'm pretty sure this is the right thread for move illegalities.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen5nu-582447150 BW Huntail uses Shell Smash and then Sucker Punch. The BW NU Huntail analysis notes that "Sucker Punch is a useful priority move to nail faster targets, but it is illegal with Shell Smash." This appears to be true, as Sucker Punch is a tutor for Huntail and not Clamperl in gen 4, while Sucker Punch is an egg move for Huntail in gen 5.

This may seem to not be relevant, but actually is relevant due to the BW PU Cup, where Huntail is legal. As a result if someone could look into this that would be great, I'm pretty sure I'm correct that this is illegal but there's a small chance I'm missing something.

It looks like after a mon uses a z-move their item doesn't register and it shows up as a separate moveslot, maybe the second thing is ok because they could have multiple of the same type attacking move but item at least should reveal.
 
Selecting shiny Tapu Koko in the team builder results in an error message that states:

"Your team was rejected for the following reasons:

- Tapu Koko is only obtainable from events - it needs to match one of its events, such as:
- Tapu Koko must not be shiny to be from its event #1."


This is wrong for two reasons. 1: Because Tapu Koko is NOT only obtainable from events. It is available in game after beating the Elite 4. 2: Because its only event distribution so far was for a SHINY Tapu Koko. Back in February, if I recall correctly. Maybe March. But the when is irrelevant. Point is, it's legal, and I've seen shiny Tapu Koko used on Showdown since then so idk how recent this bug is. But it's site wide, not just on the main server. To make sure it wasn't a move or ability issue, I tried it with only thunderbolt and both abilities. Same issue, but with it saying its hidden ability is unreleased when I tried it with that (which I believe is accurate). So it's not a move or ability incompatibility issue, it's simply incorrect.

This actually isn't a bug, though the error message is a bit confusing. Shiny Tapu Koko is event only, Non-Shiny Tapu Koko is not as it is catchable in-game. If your Tapu-Koko is shiny it must match the event where it was shiny, your set probably has moves or something that is incompatable with its event.
