So it's not clear to me whether this statement applies to what I am about to say, so I'm going to report it and y'all can be the judge.- Pursuit will deal double damage immediately before any switch-out, as long as Pursuit has not been used at regular priority yet. This includes U-turn and Volt Switch, but not Baton Pass.
There is an inconsistency with the priority of actions involving pursuit and volt switch (and likely other initiative moves, i.e. parting shot, u-turn, maybe baton pass):
In PS: Plusle used Volt switch > Trainer picks new mon > Muk used pursuit (Plusle takes 80 BP Damage) > Trainer sends out Latios
On Console: Plusle used Volt Switch > Muk used Pursuit (Plusle takes 80 BP Damage) > Trainer picks new mon > Trainer sends out Latios
If you want proof for the PS version, a replay can't show the error, but if you ran a quick test of this with 2 accounts, you'll see i'm telling the truth about PS.
PM me on discord @ roirepreS#6729 for video proof, it won't let me show it on here.
This is a big deal in my eyes because this changes how a dark weak mon is played against a dark. For example, in the scenario above, lets say muk is at low health, if I volt out with plusle, and I'm on PS, I don't know if i can safely switch into my pokemon until I make my decision and then i may or may not get punished, meaning I may switch into a neutral play and not risk damage on my latios, since it is possible based on my knowledge of the moment that it could still be damaged (if it clicked knock off). Rather, on the console, I can safely go into my latios bc the pursuit damage will already guaranteed be taken on plusle before I choose the mon, so I can safely go into Latios to pick it off.
