Tried it.
Chandy is a bit too frail. Not to mention Nitro Charge would be better than Acid Armor for sweeping since a lucky crit wont end your sweep.

Hmm,could anyone help me out with something?
How much a difference is 358 Sp.Attack compared to 389?
It just seems that whether you have 358 or 389,you'll still be 2HKO'ing nearly everything that isn't a special wall/dragon.
For example.
With 358,you'll do 42% - 49% with Shadow Ball against a Garchomp with no investment in its bulk.
With 389,you'll do 45% - 53% with Shadow Ball against that same Garchomp.

You get 358 by using Modest with no investment in Sp.Attack, and you get 389 by using Timid with 252 Sp.Attack EVs...is it THAT big of a difference?

Well, if not boosting then it doesn't make that much of a difference - it's less than 10% more SpAtk, however the EVing is far more dependent on the speed you need to hit - if forced to use Timid as Shandy pretty much is, you have to invest in SpAtk to compensate for not having modest.

Unless you wanna do a ton of calcs, just try and test it to see if you keep missing any KOs you need.

Eh,I just decided to go with this:

Chandelure - Modest @ Salac Berry
6 Def/252 Sp.Attack/252 Speed
-Flamethrower
-Shadow Ball
-Substitute
-Calm Mind

Absolutely rapes stall teams.
How is full stall even viable anymore?

Full stall might be viable if more people knew that running Deo-D was WELL worth the effort...

That it is. How could people pass on the best spiker in the game with the most team support is weird. It's special attack is meh but it does happen to be useable if you need something for Taunt (Icebeam to smash Taunt Gliscor and Erufuun comes to mind especially) and is very defensive. Magic Coat also reflects opponent's spikes/status/taunts back at them and I had fun Magic Coating Breloom's Spores back at it. Cosmic Power means it pretty much never dies and it could also status with Thunderwave, set up screens...

What would it do against a SubChandy set?

What would it do against a SubChandy set?

Well, Max/Max Calm Deo-D takes 53-63% from Modest 252 Shadow Ball, or 48-57% from Timid. Most probably wouldn't risk staying in given that many Shandys are scarfed, except perhaps to try and T-Wave, but Sub takes care of that nicely if you run enough speed to outpace Deo.

Your SubSalac set looks pretty interesting, actually, I may give it a shot.

Against a sub chandy set, Deo-D needs to have gotten in first (why would he switch in). Under a +1/+1 boost with cosmic power, he either pp stalls shandy through sub and recover (occasionally boosting when he gets the chance), or he just phases chandy out with his red card/recycle set.

59.9% - 71.1% is the amount modest shandera is doing to a nuetral natured 252/200 nuetral natured Deo-D with shadow ball, assuming no boosts for either.

Haha, and my lack of experience with Deo-D shows... CM Shandy can boost up with him and eventually win (boosting once every 3 turns as Taunt wears off) but worries about T-Wave and Red Card.

Uhm, somebody have a Trick Room set?

Shandera.
Ability: Shadow Tag or Flame Body.
Item: Expert Belt / Balloon.
Nature: Modest.
IVs: Spe 0.

Moves:
- Trick Room
- Flamethrower / Heat Wave / Fire Blast.
- Shadow Ball.
- Energy Ball / Hidden Power Ground / Pain Split.

Well, by the ability, depends greatly if Shodaw Tag is banned from OU.
Shandera have average Defences, but a lot of weakness, all of them nearly-common.
Flame Body is an great asesst for the Shandera's survivience. Burn 3 of 10 times is a gift, leaving things like DDtars and Outragers crying for it shorter damage and life.

Well, with Trick Room is interesting in Shandera taking in care the not-so-brilliant Speed of the Cursed chandelier. Many of the new things in OU are superfast and really offensives.

TR leaves Superfast Jellyfishes, Faster-than-meteorites Spiky Durions, and a Clown with really bad humor and an insane Attack with chances of outspeed many things, but that move is worthy in consideration.

In fact, this set leave extreme bruises in the Sweeper Number One of the Gen V: Doryuzu (Excadrill, just don't kidding me).

So, you have problems with a fucking mole that outspeed every one in Sandstorms?
Tired from a mole that support some priority attacks and Earthquake you to dead in your face?
At the edge of the nerves seeing a fucking mole runnig faster than light and rapes off between entire teams in Sandstorms?
No more, use Trick Room when Doryuzu is switched out, and Shandera outruns to the fucking mole anytime, anywhere (with Sand or not), toasting it over flames (and taste quite right).

So call to 1-555-FUDORYUZU (?) erm....

The Fire STAB is from your preference:
Nice power, many PP and perfect accuracy? Flamethrower is for you.
Great damage, enough PP and nearly perfect accuracy? run with Heat Wave.
You want abuse from an insane attack at cost of poor PP and risking accuracy? Fire Blast at your own risk.

Shadow Ball together Fire attacks made a perfect coverage, having both STABs, so, depending the case, you can use the Expert Belt.

The other Move is a filler mainly.

HP Ground hit hard to Empoleon and Heatran, meanwhile Energy Ball cover three of your's weakness, and Pain Split "recovers" you and is annoying.

Balloon is a great item in Shandera, leaving it support one or some extra turns.

See you later.

Offensive Shanderaa could easily be partnered with Pokemon who are weak to fire, mainly Aiinto, Birijon, Kobaruon, and Scizor. Birijon and Kobaruon especially are good partners, since they take no damage from Dark-type attacks and it raises their attack.:pimp:

Birijon and Kobaruon especially are good partners, since they take no damage from Dark-type attacks and it raises their attack.:pimp:
Justice Heart isn't an immunity; you still take the same damage. But since they 2x and 4x resist Dark anyway, it's still probably a decent idea.

Chansey/Blissey used Toxic!! You fail.

>my face I posted that exact same Trick Room set a while ago....twice.

Still, it works like a beast. since the opponent will likely switch out, you get a free turn to Trick Room and then proceed to spam with a 427 special attack + life orb/expert belt.

Epic.
I'm loving the stall breaker set I made :p
Only one,single problem.
And it's when I out speed an offensive threat.
For example:
Opponent switched in Hitmontop!
Kefka sent out Shandera!

It's all fine and dandy, but I definitely can't OHKO him(I couldn't think of something I could out speed and not OHKO....bear with me) with Flamethrower while he can OHKO me back.

Shandera used Substitute!
Hitmontop used *insert move here*
Shandera's Substitute faded!

And I'm basically screwed.
It does get quite a few kills though.
It's just epic when you scare a Scizor away and they switch in a Blissey as you Sub up,allowing you to get a free CM.
Great set IMO

-_- People complain about overcentralization with rain but there's way more sand teams. They're the reason I quit competitive battles. Most boring thing EVER.
