Gimmick Thread!

Gallade @ Leftovers
Impish / 252 HP 200 Def 56 Attack
Protect
Will-O-Wisp
Drain Punch
Night Slash

In a past life, Gallade was a Grass-type Pokemon. Unfortunately, when he became a Fighting/Psychic, he lost Leech Seed.

Will-O will cut down the opponent's attack, perfect for protecting Gallade's fragile Defense rating. Protect buys Gallade a turn for Leftovers recovery, while Drain Punch refills its life. Night Slash works well against ghosts, which are immune to Drain Punch.
Is there a joke I'm not getting here?

Typhlosion@Choice Band
Adamant
252 in Atk/Spd

Flare Blitz
Earthquake
Brick Break
Aerial Ace

Hey, with that Physical movepool...

Is there a joke I'm not getting here?

Grass Pokemon == lots and lots of status effects. Parasect and Breloom, Vileplume, Venusaur, jumppluff, etc. etc. etc.

And what have we here? A Green pokemon with lots of status effects (Hypnosis, Thunder-Wave, Will-o-Wisp) and good support. It isn't a huge ROFLAMO joke, but it is a good quip.

Weavile @ Iron Ball
Fling
Thief
Ice Shard/Fake Out
Filler

Fling with an Iron Ball narrowly outdamages Pursuit on a switch over time, plus gains the benefit of massive spike damage in the face of anyone who thinks they can stay through a Pursuit. Ice Shard/Fake Out for when you can't afford the speed loss from the Iron Ball. I'm not completely certain of what to use for the filler, but Revenge/Avalanche would take advantage of the speed drop and ensure double STAB, and Substitute/Swords Dance have obvious advantages on the switch. I'd do nature and EV spread, but I'm not certain of the speed drop from an Iron Ball (asked in the Simple Question thread, but didn't get an answer).

Right on. That's one thing...

...and one more thing. Drain Punch has 60 base power and adds to the life of the user. It's eerily reminiscent of Giga Drain.

Here's one that is really weird, but who knows, if you're lucky, it might just work!

Numel @Starf Berry/Salac, Liechi or Petaya Berry
Trait: Simple

- Ancientpower
- Endure
- Yawn
- Flamethrower/Fire Blast/Earthquake/Earth Power

Yeah, so this set requires a huge amount of luck, but if you get the Ancientpower boost, it doubles every stat which is pretty sweet, although there's only a 10% chance of it actually happening.

You can also Endure a hit which would normally OHKO Numel and get a Starf boost. Thanks to Simple, it won't double, but triple one of your stats at random. Since it is at random however, you can choose any other pinch berry.

If you're choosing a pinch berry, pick the type and category of attack that goes with the berry you want, but salac doesn't really matter. If you're picking starf, then just pick an attack. However, keep in mind that trying to get an ancientpower boost is actually more reliable than this because sandstorm and hail will screw you over.

Yawn is there if something miraculously switches out against Numel and you can get the next opponent on the switch-in. If they stay in, endure and try to spam some Ancientpowers to try for the boost, while also using your boost, whatever it may be.

I believe this is a good gimmick if you wanna give a pre-evo with a unique ability only shared by the beavers. Like I said before though, this is only for the truly lucky.

Rich Meowth

Meowth @ Amulet Coin (pwns)
Naughty (What else would Meowth be)
252/speed 252/atk 6/hp

PAY DAY (more accurate than fury swipes, used for sweeping)
Fury Swipes! (Shout "FURY SWIPES!!" when using)
Nasty Plot (This will scare opponent's low SpDef poke away)
Endure (it's the only thing that will let it see another turn)

When you use this make sure you tell your opponent that you have the Amulet Coin equiped to get the full effect of this bad boy.

Clefable@Choice Scarf****FORTHELULZ
-Metronome
-filler
-filler
-filler

Either you'll win from the heart attack your opponent has from laughter,

Or, you sweep their entire team with SE moves.

Hey, if monkeys could write shakespeare...

How about this Bronzong set?

Chesto Berry

Rest
Recycle
Gyro Ball
Earthquake/Block

Block is optional, but it allows for extra stalling. Earthquake is for Magnezone/Probopass who might ruin your fun.

The only alakazam allowed in NU.

Alakazam @ Choiceband
Adamant
Att/252 Spd/252 HP/6
-TPunch
-IPunch
-Fpunch
-Psycho cut

Another joke set.

I used Recover/Shadow Ball/Subpunch Zam in Adv on that gimmick team I had. Took out one or two Pokemon usually. Especially Blissey.

Charizard @ Life Orb ** Kamikaze
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Attack / 252 Speed
Jolly Nature
- Belly Drum
- Flare Blitz
- Double Edge
- It doesn't get brave bird :C EQ to hit Heatran, I guess

Suizard. Belly Drum and Recoil + Life Orb should bring you down to activate Blaze, in which situation a Flare Blitz or two will do big damage to both sides.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Either
EVs: 252 Def/ 252 At / 6 HP
*Double Edge
*Defense Curl
*Sing
*Light Screen

Put them asleep, Defense Curl up to the max... thus beginning the War of Attrition

Gyarados Counter.

Surskit @Focus Sash/Bright Powder/Leftovers
Bold, Max HP, Max Def, 4 Sp.Atk

HP Electric
Haze
Swagger/Thief
Substitute/Baton Pass

For those who don't know, Surskit resists all Gyarados' standard moves (SE Gyarados are kinda rare). Haze its DD, HP Electric can finish a low (really low) health Gyarados.

Swagger is suicide move but it's also your only reliable (!) way of countering Gyarados, Thief can get rid of its items making it less scary.

Substitute is useful if you have time to setup it (you certainly will, most Gyarados will run when face a Surskit) and Baton Pass can works like a Pseudo U-Turn, letting you to counter your opponent's Surskit counter*

Surskit counters = whole metagame, including Gyarados.

Well... at least it resists Gyarados moves. lol

Porygon - z
EV's: 252 spd, 252 HP?
Nature: timid
Magnet rise
conversion
Charge beam
(type coverage move) HP ice/grass?

Magnet rise, then use conversion so you have no weaknesses, Go charge beam up your sp atk and sweep. Funny, always liked conversion.

Shuppet @ Focus Sash
-Trick Room
-Destiny Bond
-Night Shade
-Knock Off

Trick room first turn, if you dont get hit, use Night Shade/Knock off
Better version (IMO):
Duskull @ Focus Sash
Level 1
- Trick Room
- Destiny Bond
- Icy Wind / Will-o-Wisp
- Pain Split

0 HP and Spd IVs and -spd nature for 11 HP and 4 Speed, to abuse Pain Split and Trick Room, respectively. With Pain Split, you essentially halve their HP.
