Phreak said in a post somewhere that Akali will pretty much never be free because of her rune requirement, so anyone waiting for her to be free should pretty much go buy her.

Say whatever you want, but I prefer it to Summoner's Rift. Teamfights are exhilarating compared to beginning every game for 10 minutes. There are many people who feel the same.

Hm? @_@ I count three traditional supports (Sona, Leona, Blitzcrank) and then 'Teemo' and Fiddlesticks... Who am I missing?
I'm very happy about this free week. I've wanted a Fiora and a Rumble free week for a little while, so to get both at once is nice. Will miss the Miss Fortune free week, but I guess I just need to buy her ~.~! She's super fun imo, I keep getting her on Proving Grounds on PBE in particular (been playing a heap of that what with the patch troubles -- I like it, though I think capture points like on the Crystal Scar work better :/ but then I did have a 40 minute epic yesterday that wouldn't've been possible with capture points; at one point, we had only a single nexus turret remaining, while they had all theirs).
My first question is why the hell Rammus went bot. Warden's Mail is an incredible item on Dominion (even more so for Rammus,) though.
And yeah, ragers gonna rage, bad players gonna play badly. Good thing we don't have to put up with them for more than 25 minutes though. :)
I also enjoy Dom more than SR and can direct you to more than a few good links about playing it competitively. Friend Tortferngatr in-game.
Because Karthus can zone out enemies like a boss and STILL contribute to team damage top? It's actually regarded as being better to send him bot than top, although I know from experience he isn't exactly terrible up there.
She's pretty much like Karthus in terms of bot lanes. She can start top if needed before swapping to permabot. If this was sarcasm in response to Minwu...yeah, fully justified.
Alternative moral of the story: Better to only take 20 minutes of shit (or 15 with an early surrender) before moving on than 45 (or 20 with an early surrender).

I wouldn't count teemo as support, but both malphite and annie can support well
malphite is in the same vein as leona (just less powerful laning but better for team fights)
CDR tank annie. aoe stun +shield isn't that bad. I personally wouldn't play her as support but it does work.
And for this I love him. Don't need people derping around feeding with my favorite toon.
Karthus is okay in Dominion but that nerf to his passive (where the death timer doesn't begin ticking until after you exit it) basically completely ruined him. He went from like best caster bot to fairly average, and it really hurts him as a top fighter, because that change is so crippling. :( And Soraka bot is good at counterpicking Urgot at least.

You're not obligated to have both halves of Akali's passive turned on at Level 1, it's not that big of a deal. Bonus damage on "very little base damage" is very little additional damage. Spell vamp on "very little damage" is very little healing. By the time you gain a few levels, your masteries will be enough to flip them on naturally or you fix it up with itemization; Gunblade is core on Akali anyway. Grab an early Doran's Blade or Amp Tome if you want the neglected half of your passive turned on ASAP.

yeah, only idiots take Rammus as a bot laner. Seriously, half of why he's considered good (and the main area he beats Malphite in) is that he's mobile, a negated advantage on bot lane.
Pantheon can go bot primarily because his ult+W bug gives him global presence, and because he can threaten his foes early on. He's not exactly perfect for bot lane (and tbh I would have had the Karth go bot at the start,) but he's better than Rammus down there.
Not entirely. Karth still zones his foes like a boss, and in top lane his wall can be devastating if you take a couple of levels on it. I'd agree he isn't top tier anymore, but he's not SR Eve tier.
Soraka's utility falls off in top lane. Put her in bot lane and she remains capable.
Also, you could always take him with Revive, which is apparently really freaking good on Dominion if it's specced. (ask dominatedominion's in-game some time if you don't believe me. For that matter, watch featured Dominion games on Spectator Mode.)

Rammus is a fantastic top, I was confused as to why he went bot too. But it doesn't change the fact that I, as Pantheon, couldn't face him 1v1.
My thoughts exactly..
As for Akali though, having a specific rune page is pretty crucial.

support fid is actually pretty amazing. 3 second fear is just ridiculous amounts of cc. Plus his damage isn't bad for killing in lane. And his ult is just op for team fights.
